Beautiful. Yet a remark that must be adressed: when mentionning "allies turn away" and "help that never came", Americans and britishes are shown. However, in 1944, those who truly abandoned the Poles were the Soviets, waiting outside Warsaw for them to be slaughtered, as Staline wanted to get rid of any potential oposition. Shame this not recalled.
Combine with the fact the red army is too stretch with supply line And no one especially Stalin really interested in saving Poland After all one of the Soviet red army biggest failure is right before the gate of Warsaw in The Polish-Soviet war of 1920-1921
Supply lines stretches will never hide the truth that Stalin and the Soviet high command already have plan to build Puppets regime to create a buffer zone between it and America with America allies
There are a lot reasons why Soviet army didn’t help the rebellion. As was already said Soviet armies near Warsaw were nearly fully exhausted( men and tanks) due to their non-stop fight with the germans, theirs supply lines were stretched. While german army was regrouped and concentrated. Even with that Soviets still send supplies and weapons by airdrops, not as many as Allies. Another reason why they didn’t help, because they have no idea that the uprising will start. They didn’t receive any information from polish goverment in exile or AK (which were anticommunist and maybe that is why they didn’t inform Soviets). And after that and many other reasons, you can understand soviet unwillingness to help force, that was and would in future fight against them.

Well, in Poland people still argue about Warsaw Uprising. There is not enough place here to write about it all . Most imortant things? It was act of political desperation. From military point of view it was pointless. There were about 25000 rebels with enough weapons for maybe 4000-5000 of them. I mean real weapons, not pistols or Moltovs coktails. It could end with success only with help of Soviet Army, but Stalin had no political interest in streghtening civil superriors of rebels, polish emigration government. He wanted to control Poland with "his" polish government(comunistic of course). So he ordered Red Army to let Germans wipe out insurgents. After a month of fighting polish commanders decided that they did what they could. Now is the time to surrender. And guess what? Stalin ordered to send insurgents weapons and ammo. Even let polish regular soldiers fighting alongside Red Army to try to break through and support them. They took the bait and fought another month...At the end of the war 90% of city was ruined(10% because 1939 fights, another 25 % destroyed in 1943 Warsaw Getto Uprising, 55% in Warsaw Uprising). We, people of Poland have maaany weknesses. But God help those who occupy us. Conquering us is not that difficult but occupation is usually pain in the ass. It was true 200 years ago, it is true today.
Still one of Sabatons absolute best songs and massive respect for going all the way to Europe to fight. Before Smoking Snakes, I didn't even know there where any Brazilian, and even South American troops in the war at all. As Cotter said, they are not well documented, so I think we should all just be happy, that they even got a song, which is luckily a total banger.
I had actually learned something cool in warsaw, turns out the uprising was because the soviets were across the river and they didnt want to be controlled by either, so the rose up. I think thats what happened
The polish resistance started the uprising, hoping that the Allies and the Soviets were going to help. The Allies tried to drop them weapons, but the losses were too hight and they stopped, since they had to fly across whole Germany. As of the Soviets, they let the Germans crush Polish resistance without blinking an eye, because Stalin planned to get his hands on Poland, and did not want to have to deal with Polish resistance, so they waited on the other side of the river until the uprising got crushed by the SS troops stationed in Warsaw
And Poland lives on today stronger than ever before and helping are ukrainian brothers fighting for freedom as well gorly to Poland and Ukraine you are strong 💪 🇨🇦❤🇺🇦🇵🇱

이번에 나온 Steel Commanders도 부탁드림니다
Warsaw rise!
WARSAW! RISE!
God bless the Polish. They kept the faith through everything.
2024... help that never came... May this song inspire the brazilian people. History is calling to us.
May Poland remain the US's strongest ally. From America to Poland, you have our gratitude for being the unkillable nation.

Gloria AK, héroes
Is there any way you can do one on the smoking snakes? They are my countries hero's
I also like that song, but I did not found a good movie, documentary, or drama about the Brazilian Expeditionary Force.
@@ascotter6454 yeah they are not that well known... Oh well, thank you kindly

Jestem Polakiem dumnym z powstania❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇵🇱
