I saw the Spengler semi-hero pack up close in '96, was in a sorry state. Missing bumper and wand clippard, tubes hanging off, wand mounted wrong way round with what looked like a poorly made complete front barrel section. Such a shame

I find these videos very fascinating. What I don’t understand though, is why they were so sloppy with the packs and assigning them to a different actors but then them swapping them out randomly?
It could be any number of things, from actors not caring which one they had (typically Murray), maybe some were getting quick repairs on site, and sometimes I think Reitman probably wanted the best looking pack available for close ups, like when Peter is hiding Oscar behind the makeshift barrier. That’s all speculation though.
