These sounds were so accurate that when the player's timing was slightly different it's almost jarring, cos you feel like you're listening to the record. 👍
I'm in exactly the right mood to sit through this whole thing (preset scroll videos aren't usually my thing), and your corrected presets have quickly become the best part of it all.
50 minutes of 80s synth is still better than everything from 2010 to 2024. Some of these songs can only be found on the way back... get the .wav files before the disappear. :o
No mistake. the best instrument here is your mind. incredible to be able to play all of these, so much experience. i wish i had the ability to do this.
This is great! I think showing how to play the various songs as well as showing the sound capabilities of the OP-X Pro 3 is a great idea. This will definitely encourage more people to buy your product. Keep up the good work!
38:24 the Pink Floyd patches are fantastic!!! Especially the Any Color one! I jammed along the original track with this patch and it's an absolute revelation!
Thank you Sonic Projects, many of us are not synth programmers, but love to have the ability to thinker with it. Great patches. This is the way it's done. Great product, great patches, great sounds, ability to customize, tweak and create new sounds and of course great demo from a great player. Will buy immediately!
I had OP-x Pro II and loved it, but when I saw this video I went and upgraded to OP-X Pro 3. It's amazing, all the Pink Floyd and Van Halen were the kicker for me, but all of them sound amazing! Great work Sonic Projects!
Still a very worthy purchase above so many over-hyped VA plugins on the market today. 46:50 even though the original was a memory Moog OP-X nails the sound I've listened to for many years.
Thank it for showing all these sounds !! I have this program and so glad to see so many Rush sounds that I may not have known about plus so many others
I can see myself drowning in caffeine as I stay up days on end going through each sound, dying a happy person of lack of sleep :) Amazing promotion even though it's not, but fantastic it is! Thank you
I never ever would have processed it this way, but the second you hit that chord with 'Pink Flo Th Thin Sweep', my brain shorted out and matched it with Be Near Me by ABC. It's not identical, but they have enough sonic commonalities that I jumped to the wrong song. LOL
This was a real treat - a walkthrough of so many iconic sounds! The only ones I didn't think were spot-on sound-wise were The Final Countdown (the attack was too slow perhaps) and the Berlin bassline (not sure about that one). Although there were a few I wasn't familiar with most are stored indefinitely in my chemical-memory....
Fabulous video! Have this synth, amazing it is. Your video is incredible, huge effort has gone into creating this! mark / Edited to add I cannot think of another patch video where I have sat and watched 50 odd mins of patch playing. The actual playing is fantastic, but so is the synth. What a combination!
This is great, as a guy that has a lot of old and new analog synths I still like hearing the real thing but am impressed what VSTs can do these days. I do have Spitfire for orchestral stuff
Tremendous work.. very cool!!! Of course now I am driven to go make a playlist with all of these - because these earworm teases are driving me nuts…. :)
At last, a keyboard free synth! Omg, all those yeas terrorized by looking at unnecessary keys! The programmers not even being polite enough to make the keyboard invisible, at least when its needed or should I say not needed! I cant express my frustration towards this enough! You are on the path SonicProjects! others can learn from this! And btw, a very nice sounding and looking synth you guys made, makes!
That is great. Im new to the keyboard so any help is appreciated. Those are all the songs Id love to have on my keyboard. This project must have taken a long time to get it right. Bravo.
I am more of an artist so I make mostly my own sounds. So I went with GForce Ob x because it is more user-friendly and has Oberheim endorsed original sounds. However if you are more of a DJ that just uses presets and don't care about creating your own sounds then I would definitely go with the Pro 3. The Pro 3s 80s band reenactment presets are so good I might eventually pick this synth up just because of that.
Interesting. And 90% of the patches played here were not originally played using an Oberheim synthesizer. Frankly almost none of them. This definitely seems like a Swiss Army knife of an 80s synthesizer!
30:45 The last part of Pink Floyd Shine on you crazy diamond is not often played, but it's the deepest in my opinion, very happy to hear the sound. Thanks 👍
It's even better if you've known the songs since they came out. Nice flashbacks ❤ PS you could and should do some more compilations of 80s sounds. There are so many more legends SO MANY MORE 🙏
Ah I miss the 80's. I was fortunate to be a preteen right when all this great stuff started coming out. Incredible music came out of that decade. Loved the Rush! 44:16 might want to fix the title on this one :)

4:34 Oh I love Save a prayer… in fact there are so many wonderful snips from the 80s … what a great era that was
The only demo video that has had me immediately go and buy the software, instantly happy with my decision to buy this :D
the fact that you can actually play really good makes these videos so more enjoyable for us :)
As soon as you started with The Camera Eye, it took me back to 1981 instantly. A lot of good times listening to this fantastic album!
100%
A lot of super baked time listening to this album lol😊
I have to say great job for emulating all those sounds so well!
I'm in exactly the right mood to sit through this whole thing (preset scroll videos aren't usually my thing), and your corrected presets have quickly become the best part of it all.
All synths in one softsynth, incredible, The first O-PX was ground breaking and I still use it, but this overhaul is mindblowing.
50 minutes of 80s synth is still better than everything from 2010 to 2024.
Some of these songs can only be found on the way back... get the .wav files before the disappear. :o
Do not hate on one of the peak eras of music (2010-2015).
Man has not heard to Pimp a butterfly
I love 80's also, but I wasn't deaf from 2010-2024
This is so true
@@sowth_music 2010-2015 might have been a peak area in music, but not in any country I know. It was a desert wasteland in the US.

Out of all the soft synths on the market Sonic Projects stands above in its on lane .. simply incredible after all these years
The Queen I want to break free solo is pure class.
Fantastic keyboard craft !!
I had OP-x Pro II and loved it, but when I saw this video I went and upgraded to OP-X Pro 3. It's amazing, all the Pink Floyd and Van Halen were the kicker for me, but all of them sound amazing! Great work Sonic Projects!
So when you buy OP-X Pro 3, all these banks are included?
One of the most slept on soft-synths of all time. I tell people about it all the time.
4:29 oh wow. I heard this exact pattern and synth on “The Salmon dance (Labrat remix)” chemical brothers.
Wow, spot on replication! This is the video I didn't know I needed to watch today...at 4:30AM
Same at 3:30am 😂
I've been using sonic projects obx pro for a while. it's good to see an upgrade. Thanks 🎉🎉🎉
Fantastic love this VST, one of the Best!!! and I have nearly everything out there!!
Damn, memories. Loved that you did Rush early and I was just grooving along. But when you did On the Run, that just blew my mind! 🤘🤘
Still a very worthy purchase above so many over-hyped VA plugins on the market today. 46:50 even though the original was a memory Moog OP-X nails the sound I've listened to for many years.
I love this product! Just bought it yesterday! Sounds great! Love the 80's sounds. 😀
You sent me right back to a song I have not heard since on the radio in the 80s
Life Is For Living - Barclay James Harvest
Thank you ❤
Thank it for showing all these sounds !! I have this program and so glad to see so many Rush sounds that I may not have known about plus so many others
This must have taken god knows how long to put together. So many familiar sounds. Thanks for doing this.
I agree' lot's of hard work. It's amazing.
really enjoyed this demo. Great playing and patch programming.
This been my dream plugin since a decade ago, I’m definitely buying this now.
Just awesome, and let's not forget, you're one incredibly talented player ! That Vangelis Blade Runner ending, wow ! 👍
I can see myself drowning in caffeine as I stay up days on end going through each sound, dying a happy person of lack of sleep :) Amazing promotion even though it's not, but fantastic it is! Thank you

It’s almost like soothing ASMR for 80s pop music lovers. Ahhh…
So you can just play everything? That must be fun. Inspiring.
This is what I forgot to buy hahah thanks for uploading this video I knew I was missing another vst
Very Very cool thanks for having Rush on there, You nailed most some were very close, Great job
This was a real treat - a walkthrough of so many iconic sounds! Love the OP-X Pro! I've used it on covers of Lucky Man and Africa. Sounds great!
Damn, this sounds good! So we're finally there.
This one sings. It's got that certain something, that still was missing in the older plugins.
excellent work, especially Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds--it was a shock not hearing the vocals with that
Fabulous video! Have this synth, amazing it is. I enjoyed this so much more than I expected hahaha😁
you have a brilliant memory / muscle memory to recall all those riffs, respect man :)
BRAVO… I wish more synth demos would just go through presets. The great playing on top is a bonus.
This is so cool. Amazing Synth, amazing playing skills. Wow. 🎉
wow. this is a fun "name that tune" kinda vid. some are definitely harder as they don't exactly match the recording, but I love it.
This is great, as a guy that has a lot of old and new analog synths I still like hearing the real thing but am impressed what VSTs can do these days. I do have Spitfire for orchestral stuff
Excellent vid mate. You have inspired me to fire up my Arturia! Many thanks.
1st class🏆
The Sounds, the playing…
All superb❤❤❤
Well done. Great synth, patch programming and playing!
Tremendous work.. very cool!!! Of course now I am driven to go make a playlist with all of these - because these earworm teases are driving me nuts…. :)
That Duran Prayer though! I just zoomed back to the best decade in history! Thanks for this!
This is the BEST synth remake of Pink Floyd "On The Run" I've heard!
Yes, but honorable mention is very old program by Daniel Fisher from Sweetwater created on Kurzweil K2000.
Totally agree
So much work done! This is phenomenal! Btw, my favorite 80s sound is this one 47:28 =)
Sounds like T. a. t. u. - All the things she said
what would be an amazing addition to this would be if we could request "Famous sounds" and buy the patches.
Amazing demonstration! Thank you.
Love how All The Things She Said is just thrown in 😂. Sounds great! Just didn’t expect it since it’s not an 80’s track.
2002 🤣
@@recoveryguru Trevor Horn was behind this, THE master of the 80s productions and sounds
RUSH being one of my all time favorite bands - you had me at the intro mate
That's coolest thing since the shirt pocket. Sounds were spot on.
cool, someone plays the sound with the right songs... saved this for later research

Great what you can do with this instrument - know them all, those songs - and a Wakeman minimoog!
jeeze some of these sounds are otherworldly... mesmerizing!

Never realized Rush did "Babe", always thought it was Styx lol! Impressive group of synth patches, basically sums up my music collection.
Rush did not do Babe, it was Styx....
@@DrGargani I realize that, I was being sarcastic. Look in the song list, it has “Rush Babe solo”

I 🩷 80’s music and keyboards. Thanks for sharing!!
Ótimo trabalho !!!
Tantos sons que fizeram e ainda fazem parte do meu gosto musical wow 👍🏻
🤝👏👏👏
OMG! I totally forgot about this beauty! I just found a registration email from 2006!! It sounds awesome!
Hello @SonicProjects
It would be a nice feature if we could use the cursor/arrow-keys in the preset browser.
Wow, the memories. I wish i could play. I have all the software and some gear, but no ear for music At All!
Thanks for the memories.
Wow 😲 I want one, fricken awesome! You gotta love the synthesizer! Thank you Bob Moog 🌴🌴
Cool presentation that I’ve never really considered. Crazy how our brains re like super computers that never forget a BYTE😁
Super interesting VST, gonna definitely get my hands onto this for a review :)
You could spend a lifetime playing with that machine
These are fantastic sounds - Axel-F isamazing, and the Queen ones are perfect - wow. !
Just subscribed too - would love to see more of this !
Pretty awesome, i dont play keyboard but always wandered how to play some of this tunes! Thank you!
Made me wanna shout: "Run to the bedroom, in the suitcase on the left you'll find my fa-vor-ite axe!"
No way. The greatest sounding synth VST ever has an upgrade? The original sounds more analog than any modern one. This is exciting!

Proud owner of OP-X PRO 3.
Excellent super patch demo! The lucky man patch was pretty foolproof!
It's even better if you've known the songs since they came out. Nice flashbacks ❤ PS you could and should do some more compilations of 80s sounds. There are so many more legends SO MANY MORE 🙏
Damn - you got it all figured out! Impressive.
The big problem here is this just makes me want the whole of each song. Haha. Thanks, very cool.
The really good ones are always played for a few seconds longer... ❤
I really would love the keyboard view re-implemented. It makes me feel like I'm actually playing an OB.
We got the same keyboard ... X board 61, legend...
The only thing I can say is please bring back the 80s 🥲🥲🥲
All those presets brings back memories. 🤗☺️
This guy is the keyboardist that ever high-end cover band wants to hire.
17:36 "Aaaaaaand now... the starting lineup for your world champion CHICAGO BULLS!" 🏀
The synth riff in New Order's Age of Consent has always been a quintessential 80's sound to me.
