Well done Del and good info. I've decided to condition one of my jackets and going to pick up some Pecards Leather Conditioner to get after it. I'll watch your video again before I start. Thanks.

Horsehair big brush. Brush it well. Remove the dirt. If you ride, there is lots of gunk on the bike (smoke, dirt, bug guts) Cleaning well is the key prior to do anything more. I do not want to hog your video but you left much information out.

@@alred6568 hey Al thanks for the comment. I think you’re completely correct, this jacket just didn’t need a heavy cleaning. Much of the advice for cleaning a really dirty pair of leather boots applies to a leather jacket of course!

I ise bick 4 or venetian shoe cream fir moisturizing/conditioning. Ive used obenauf lp on a jacket i wear on a bike and on a well loved a2 jacket. The obenaufs will darken leather, nit an issue for black but it will darken brown. It has beeswax iirc and really helps shed water

@@DudsByDel Get out! Really? Beautiful. Old school vibes all over that watch. Very nice. I have two different colors of the Seiko 62MAS for the same vibe. Respect! Now - I just conditioned two jackets but I'm leaving this new Schott cross zip alone. Gail says they're good for a bunch of years before they want attention. Been watching the weather for weeks. Every day here in Brooklyn is the same. Cool at 8 AM but highs of 78. Stoo-pit weather. Grumble.
