He said very little- how many times does he need to say that you can "doa lot of things"? And why not show the results of the couple of things he did do? The camera angle was terrible. Four minutes that really explained nothing.

Wear it lots, go camping and sleep in it, work in it, ride a bike in it, leave it on the floor when you're not wearing it, anything but sandpaper it! You will reduce the life of your jacket and it will never look as good as what your body will do to it.

I would love to wear my leather jacket often but I live in Florida so I'll probably wear it once a year.

I have distressed many jackets and no body has complained.
    Mostly girls ummm,,
Mostly the ladies have asked me to do this to their jackets.
I will take them to my favorite spot back in the woods and toss jacket on ground and stomp, and trample the hell outta it.
Then find mud and submerge it completely..
After about 24 hours pull it out and wash it off in creek.
    Let dry and enjoy

Its easy... just jet wash it - its just like wearing it in a few really heavy storms!
Once dried, you can use peckards leather care, or leave it au naturel.

Just wear the damn thing. And never sandpaper it. That would destroy the leather. Sleep in it. Or wear it in the Rain. Your leather jacket will look 5 times as better then. NEVER SANDPAPER IT YOU ARE SO NUTS!

I have one too, several years old now. I've used sandpaper on it, rolling around on the ground. A lot of every day use. It basically looks the same as it did right after I used sandpaper on it.
The only thing that needs repair would be the inner lining.

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A BRANDO LOOK ALIKE AND I THINK THE BEST METHOD TO AGE IT IS TO LET IT DO ITS OWN THING JUST LIKE A GOOD CLARET.
THE WORLD IS MUCKED UP DON'T DO IT TO YOU BELONGINGS.

You can also use black shoe cream on a lets say brown leather to give a more weathered look

aldi2100 it's often done for wardrobe in film and stage plays. Personally, I'm here to see about aging one for a photo shoot meant for a book cover.

Personally, I'm looking to age a leather trench coat for a costume, as it's cheaper than having the costume custom made.

    can you age faux leather?

    • @zanderascher8205
      @zanderascher8205 6 років тому +3

LORENZO Fernandes I’m not sure, but I wouldn’t because underneath the “leather” is fabric since it’s not real skin, so it would probably start to peel/chip off
