    in the US, Interior designer and interior architect is essentially the same. I'm on my third year of intd and we do construction documents, zoning, functional diagrams, building codes, etc everything you listed for interior architect I am also learning as an interior designer, and have helped firms with at my internship. The only difference is we need the architect's stamp of approval. I know some school's that offer the degree of interior architect but interior architect was changed from designer because people in the industry were not taking the title seriously with interior design. so therefore it was changed to Interior architect.

      I agree with Jennifer's post 100%. For all of your future videos, you may want to reference where you are and the terms may be different in other countries at the beginning of your videos.

      In Europe it’s not the same An interior architect is taught more architecture essentials so an interior architect can easily design a whole house or residential complex or hotels but since they are a little but under the professional Architects they need a license but if you work in architecture firm you can just submit your house design and can be built under the architecture firm license

      As a working interior designer in the US, I agree with this. My degree from my university says Interior Architectural Design. I think this is to differentiate and avoid the confusion the general public has between interior design and interior decorating.

      @@arma-geddon-13 Interior designer salary in the US is also lower paying compared to other professions. I've seen junior designers start at around 65K while senior designers with 10+ years of experience make 110-130K a year. This pay range is for California where I work.

    Rule of thumb: Interior decorators care the most about their universal remote being on its docking station.

    Whilst the term Interior Architect is commonly used in some countries, under the 1997 Architects Act it is illegal in the UK to refer to yourself as an Interior Architect unless you have had the education, training and experience needed to become an architect and are registered with the Architects Registration Board which is the UK's statutory regulator of architects.

    Is there any prior training for interior decorators? I’m interested in that profession and I understand there would be college courses first, but is there anyone to train them before they start their first project?

      There are plenty. Personally, I took a local training course that took 6 months to prepare me before moving to university. I know there are plenty of online classes too, but sadly only I never looked into them before.

    Hei, before start the video, i want to ask you few questions..
    I want to follow a course of interior designer, supose i will get the exam and get my diploma, how hard/easy can i find a job?
    And what is an average of hour rate payment?

    • @GabiCreativeStudio
      @GabiCreativeStudio  4 місяці тому

      Hey, the payment depends on where you work and with who. So it's hard to answer this. Some freelancers even charge not by hourly rate but by the project. And for the diploma, it all depends on how dedicated you are and how much time you will invest in it. But everyone who started has finished their diplomas.
      And jobs vary mostly you can look into LinkedIn Some local shops or international companies who are hiring interns. Because without the internship it's harder to find a job.

    • @GabiCreativeStudio
      @GabiCreativeStudio  Рік тому +1

      This one is a hard one. I would suggest looking into local collages or the ones with best reviews. If the price is too large, choose a second option and always practice. Becouse sometimes practice brings more than education itself.

      @texting_story_au I studied in UK coventry. I heard they also have great programs of architecture there as well. But overall , Uk universities are strong towards architecture, and you can get even international internships there. As in other Eu countries, it's pretty hard.

      Right now RIBA and AIA (institute for architects in UK and US respectfully) have just made it possible for licensed professionals to more easily practice in both countries. The UK would have cheaper programs, and if you decide to practice in the US after you can. Just keep in mind that our measurements are different and also UK code may be more stringent.

    Does interior design have hard math

    • @GabiCreativeStudio
      @GabiCreativeStudio  Рік тому +1

      Not really. Most of the time, basic skills are enough.

    • @cinthialopez9970
      @cinthialopez9970 Рік тому

      Nope, I am terrible at math and it is really basic math and most times is very relatable to what you are visualizing so it helps a lot. We use scaling a lot but you get the hang of it.
