i purchased this for rs 1990 from Adukkala, Calicut and used twice. It is faster than mannual scrapping. Good so far!! It is easier to hold the coconut with both hands as we do with manual one. For this your left hand palm should press the button, fingures simultaneously holding the coconut(Not as in the videos). This gives good result. The grated coconut pieces are very small; not as big as we get from manual grinding. But no problem for chutney etc. I think first of its kind in the market.

Anti tilt switch is a safety switch. IF the bottom is not fixed correctly the machine will not work
Its overall performance is good but the job would be easier if the teeth of the blade is made larger. As the teeth is smaller the coconut is getting scrapped very slowly and finely which is not necessary. Because the finely scrapped coconut will get sticked to the blade and we have to clean it alter natively while scrapping. So hope you should take necessary measures

What is the total time to grate half coconut ? Also can you make the teeth of the blade a bit large so that grating time can be reduced

Very difficult to use. Normal scrapper is better. Blades are not sharp, so you have to use your muscle power. It has a vacuum fix on bottom, it will stop working after few days. Because of it's stupid safety feature the machine stops working once the vacuum stand stops working. We stopped using it in a month.
Hey buddy, I suggest speaking to the company's service department reps instead of badmouthing and degrading them on a public platform.. That's much more dignified and decent..
You can also go to gym and take some weights, then try using it after a month.
Can we grate dry coconut usin this.

A suggestion: whilst removing the coconut shavings from the blade use a knife or a spoon gently so that direct touch is avoided and doesn't make the grated coconut go rancid.

I brought the same from Kerala
But even the highest speed seems to be slow.
After scrapping I couldn't release the blade.
I'm going to take it back to supplier.

Facing same problem. Not able to remove blade...
Try turning it back and forth slowly without the motor rod turning. Works sometimes. Painful. Plus Customer support is pathetic. No response to complaint submitted on site as well as calls made to their office. My press switch on top is jammed. In am forced to use the on off switch.

Cover the blade with Blade holder then rotate the blade a little bit towards clockwise and turn it suddenly with a jerk in anti-clockwise to detach the blade

Rotation is too fast. 25 to 30 RPM is sufficient since there are multiple blades.
Rotation is slow only. It appears faster in the video.

Use the plastic grey cover which is given... Attach it to the blade and turn in 1 swift motion towards the Unlock direction...

These types of machines sucks. The main reason the suction doesn' t work. The force you have to give is more than the suction. If it is not stable then it is a safety issue too. Please use a thck glouse always. If you want to try. Then if you have a small drilling machine but also a hand scraper which can be attached to a table. Remove handle and attach to drilling machine. It will work same way this machine works but the scraper is fixed on the table and is more safe. Only down side is in any electric method you use you have to use a lot of muscle power because coconut is hard compared to other items. You can youtube search scraping with drill machine

wipe the kitchen platform surface and keep dry
then press the machine from top and lock the vacuum suction knob firmly
then while scraping for first few times select the low speed mode and hold the coconut in one hand and
slowly touch the edge of the coconut to the edge of the blade
and there will be no vibration and you can learn to scrape more easily & effortlessly
& still if you find difficult to handle the machine then you can contact the customer support they will assist you,
you can find the no in the instruction manual's last page.

I m using this scraper for more than a year, its really useful. Now I have become expert in scraping the coconut. Practice makes u perfect. But one thing I m having problem is removing the scraper blade r unit. It becomes super tight after scraping the coconut. Any technique u have for removing the blade. Pl suggest
Sandhya, 4 very useful tips which is helping me flawlessly -
After scraping:
1. Pls use the plastic cap that is provided, to remove the blade.
2. Try turning towards the Unlock direction in one swift motion to unclock the screw.
While scraping:
3. Also while grating the coconut try not to press it too hard towards the blade.. Hold ot lightly against the blades..
Before scraping:
4. When you fix the blades, as soon as it reaches the end of the screw stop screwing it.
That is, do not screw it tight initially.

@@lukeskywalker4019 I think I m putting pressure on the coconut shell while grating. If I don't press hard the machine will scrape the coconut. This is my query. I will try to open the blade as per ur instructions. I will drop my feed back.

Its not working as i wish. So don't waste money
Customer service is pathetic. The press switch jammed three months after purchase. I submitted a support ticket on the website. No response for a while. So i called their office and spoke to a lady who said CS will call me immediately. That was a couple of weeks ago. I wouldnt recommend this product if service is this bad. Its been a month now.
So always buy from local dealer...

The funny thing is, there is no scrapping action happening when the coconut to be grated is pressed against the blades at 4:08 . Instead its spilling the micro cuts all over the place. Even at that speed and blade action if the coconut scraping isn't happening, it doesn't feel convincing. The blade design have to be upgraded. Or the presenter is not holding the coconut at the correct angle of cut. All the more, have to give it to the early adopters of this tech, because its a first in the market. Improvements are required.
No...this is a very dangerous gadget to use. One day or the other, you will be severely injured by the spinning blade if you are not careful and this will happen surely. Not a safe machine at all.
