Wise Coconut Scraper Unboxing, Demo and Review

In these times of lock-down, when the burden of kitchen work fall upon ourselves, we begin to realise the value of automation and how machines can ease the effort required. Having struggled with a manual coconut grater, I tried this mechanised Wise Coconut Scraper, manufactured by a company in Coimbatore (www.wiseinnovations.asia/prod....
I was impressed by the features it offered and thr thought that went into making it safe , yet easy to use. Here I review it in use and see if it actually works as advertised.
Priced at ₹2,652.00 and retailing at about ₹2,199.00, this device has an Anti-Tilt Switch, Suction Knob with Automatic motor on-off function, Advanced floor sticking technology using silicone, Dual speed operation andRemovable holder/ fixing assembly for blade. For any vaccum locking device there's a simple hack for stronger bonding. Simply moisten the surface of suction pad or the table you wana place on with water. It would stick more strongly.

You have to hold the coconut at an angle above the scraper, not below it as it will lead to a lot of wastage as you have seen.

Nothing wrong with the machine's efficacy. Nor does its safety feature decrease its efficacy. The machine produces enough torque at the higher RPM to scrap a normal size coconut clean in a few mins. The problem is with your technique of holding the coconut as Raaghav GR has pointed out below that has led to wastage. There is also no problem with the shape of the plate used. There could be a problem with the suction though as you said though. Thanks for the demo.

ദയവായി ഈ മെഷീൻ വാങ്ങരുത്. ഞാൻ വാങ്ങി. മൂന്നു മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഇതിന്റെ വാക്വം സീറ്റിങ്ങ് വർക്കു ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. മെഷീൻ ഗ്രാനൈറ്റ് സ്ലാബിൽ ഓടി നടക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. സർവ്വീസിന് എവിടെ വിളിക്കണമെന്നറിയില്ല. മാത്രമല്ല. ഇത് വർക്ക ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സമയത്തും തേങ്ങാമുറി കൈ കൊണ്ട് പിടിച്ചു ചിരകുന്നത് തേങ്ങ നേരെ ചിരവയിൽ ചിരകി എടുക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാൾ കഠിനമാണ്. മറ്റൊരുകാര്യം കത്തി മൂർച്ച വെക്കാനുള്ള കല്ല് ഉറപ്പിക്കാൻ ചിരവ ബ്ലേഡ് ഊരിയെടുക്കുന്നത് അതി കഠിനം തന്നെ. എന്റെ പൈസ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. ദയവായി ആരും ഈ ചതിയിൽ വീഴരുത്. Consumer Redressal Forum ൽ പരാതിപ്പെടണമെന്ന് വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.
