Thanks for this review! Not only dangerous and very clumsy to use - no good for people with arthritis or other hand issues - but you can easily end up scraping a lot of shell into your scarped coconut.

Absolutely right..They should have designed it with larger head with less rotating speed more like that of manual scrappers. Her hand was just so close at 2:10

I agree with the comments below, dangerous and with a good processor would be safer. But it is a review and letting us (the viewers) know it’s not worth it the hassle

Thanks for the review, I was in doubt as to whether to buy this or not. I am fully confident about it. I shall use my manual one, it takes no time, 100% visibility, no running parts and no electricity.

Best way to get coconut shavings. Freeze the broken coconut. Later put it in boiling water for a minute. You can rip off the pulp easily. Cut it and dry grind. Voila! Finer coconut shavings than with old style spike head.
You can also remove the hard brown crust now easily with a peeler. You get milk white coconut shavings when you grind it. Great for sweet recipes!
Only an engineer can reinvent the process! Half the time, better output, finer quality, less hardship! Good life!!
    Yours truly!
Please make a video after trying the above method for all Coconut lovers!

By this time we can do it manually with an ordinary coconut scraper. Thank you for saving me from buying it.

This is something similar to a rotating coconut scrapper or a traditional coconut scrapper that I use. The only thing is mine is manual and this is electric. One normally starts with the edges and goes to the center. Gets the job done quickly. But yes one has to be very careful avoiding cutting one's fingers.

SO much of a hassle to use! Now see, THIS is why we love and watch you. I will just continue with my trusty 'coconut mallet' & small pry bar combo and the blender or processor.
You da best, hon. Keep 'em coming. 🤘🏻👏🏻💃👯💃

Hi, I bought it from an Indian store - it looks like this - amzn.eu/d/guYntCe
You can also try this type of scraper:
      amzn.to/3rWVbuK
      Hope that helps 😁

They should improve the scraper attachment. Otherwise, it should be off the market for safety issue. A waste of money too.

Wow, in today's day and age an accident waiting to happen. I use almost any power tool without issue but for average consumer; oh no. This is a mistake.. Scrape your hand or long hair, you will not be able to stop this unit in time for a very bad time. Back in 1994 I stopped wearing ties working for hp working on printers, for a good reason; motors you cannot stop in time before disaster occurs. You can get a owe on your hands but when a rotating object grabs hold of hair or other you are in serious jeopardy, period. Quite honestly this should be recalled.

Not easy to use, taking too much time (time & electricity waste) to scrap small seized coconut. As it doesn’t work on it's purpose efficiently :- waste of money.
