I got mine in a garage. It was my dad's before he threw it out. He had 1 tape of a Pete Townshend Concert and 1 Fleetwod Mac concert. I loved it because of the peak level meters(I was 5 at the time, and to every 5 year old kid: a peak level meter meant LOUD OBNOXIOUS STEREO SYSTEM.) When he threw it out, my older brother secretly dug it out and kept it in the garage for 7 years. Then I found it. I just posted a vid about it.
@SWO4LIFE Nope. Companies topped making stadalone VCRs a few years ago. you can still buy DVD/VHS dual decks, though, and Panasonic sells a VHS/Blu-Ray(!) combo deck.

I love the sliding door :)
I need to find a place like that up in DC. My SuperBeta is having some belt and recording trouble.
Do you still have this? If so, can I have it?

Made in year 1992. How was its reliability?
No they don't SWO4LIFE, but they do make DVD VCR combos.
Most people don't know about it either.
true dat, but you can still buy a used normal VCR off amazon or ebay.
Check his garage :)
It might just be that my tape isn't seated correctly. It lost 2 of those rubber feet on the bottom, so it might be just that.
I can probably just get normal rubber belts from a hardware store and switch those out for the old ones.
Can you show inside

But it has a motorized door.
