Just needs a little more mids and treble or perhaps presence. Maybe the depth knob is too high. Definitely close to being good but not enough definition coming through. If it’s custom maybe Bogner upped the gain a little as it’s pretty gainy compared to the Helios I’ve tried before.
Superstrat with a JB, playing into a Bogner with a Marshall cab. You need to be playing We Die Young or Them Bones on this rig again and again and again and again ......and again!
@@johnadams7795 yeah, he was left handed and just flipped the strings, and maybe nut, and yes that's the reason his headstock looked reversed.. But at one point he could have gotten custom guitars made, and yet he still played his flipped strats. And it looked amazing the entire time.
I knew Evergey but I became a huge Danhage fan after you had him on CWO. His tone, feel and note choices are EPIC! I am also a modded strat player, so his Charvel sig is making me smile every time!
The best video you have done for some time. Really looked forward to this one. And it sounds really amazing, So cool, you and Henrik makes one feel proud to be swedish!
Helios! Amazing guitar and very cool that his personal gear up for you to play through. I'm not sure what the black sun mod is, but there are tons of rich tones one can dial through the plex and hot channels. The Bogner Helios is a work of art in sound and visually...especially the hand wiring inside. Top notch and cleans up with the volume knob on the guitar. Very cool to hear you play through one. I had a Fryette for 25 years or so and searched for and wide for new sound to write and play through. This amp won out for me. It's only weakness in my opinion is the effects loop. Friedman's BE 100 Deluxe and Diezel's VH4 had more superior effects loops in transparency but the Helios had the type of character and nuance to the distortion harmonics that was my cup of tea. I went with the Helios and I highly recommend it.
Fuuuuuck the growl on that sound. I'd love to hear your guitar through it too to know if it's the guitar or the head and or the cab giving that intense brickwall growl. Wow. Been a fan of bognur and never really knew why... That's a tone.... shit!! 🤘🤘
just bought one, dude. I mean, before even seeing that you'd reviewed it, and now I'm even more convinced. looks so fuckin' cool and I love that growl.
This might as well have been my sig too :)) All the features I love are there - super strat with FR, reverse headstock and hum/single pair with the least controls possible (single push/push pot). Just love the simplicity!!!
I love your playing and your videos Ola! Liked and subscribed.finally!;) yeah I didn’t see this as an amp for this “nice sound” but yeah the noise suppressor and that guitar, as well as those delays make it work! Well! I liked also that you showed different mics too, to further drive home the point that this set up works, but you were also honest about channel two and tried both pickups with it. I appreciated that. Oh wow, the plexi was working too! I liked the 70’s mode better personally. I really liked that guitar! The cutaways were sharper than a Fender. Very sleek looking. I would like to hear both pickups blended though and I’m wondering if they would do a lefty version! Well OK! A lot of explanation points were in order here! Keep it up brother OLA! Thanks and Oakloha from Oakland California!
Nothing “synthetic” about that amp gain!! Love when it can be that driven and still the string tension, bounce and boing is evident. Super natural, authentic and raw!! One of my favorite tones you’ve chugged on!
Nice touch having the Bognor + delay pedals. The guitar as it's meant to be heard. - Just reminded me. Have to check which of the kids (or grandkids) has my Charvel. (80s original.)
Very similar setup to the ESP George Lynch skills and Snakes. 22 fret bolt on neck, Floyd Rose, humbucker/single coil setup and one volume with push pull pickup selecter built in.
It's funny how it's basically a high end version of my Nova strat copy (nicknamed marshmallow) that I built a few years ago! Mine still has it's stock 6 screw temolo (blocked), doesn't have a neck pickup but has a middle Seymour Duncan hot rails-type and a JB as the bridge pickup too, and instead of a relic job, it's sticker bombed...
Great video as alway's Ola & yes Everygrey are amazing I have been a fan since their first album the guitar playing has alway's amazed me so glad you mentioned them🤘🤘
The best sound since a long time, even though most sounds you dial in kick ass. Absolutely sick tone! Very awesome tone, I totally enjoyed this video. Another reminder why I am subscriber since 10 years or so.
Peter Joseph (The Absence) plugs straight into one of these amps too I think they are criminally underrated for modern metal as people go for their ubers etc instead.
I am building a Superstrat in this spirit: Stratocaster type alder body, Telecaster type maple neck (22 jumbo frets) with rosewood fretboard and Kluson Deluxe tuning machines , Kahler Hybrid 7300 tremolo, Gotoh Floyd type sillet , EMG JH Signature set and EMG 3 positions selector.
I’ve always found that the best IRs I use were Bogner IRs and made me wonder why you don’t see them often...it’s because the creator only makes like 20 a year!
Oh jess, is im talking about Ola!!!! No matter what arsenal ju Baptist , you SOUND 2 RAW . Damn Straight , ju de Man !!!! Stupendous Assessment 24/7 ....
Holy shit Ola!! At 3:22 my jaw just dropped on my desk!! Seriously.. that riff sound has a gnarly undertone or texture, which I have not heard like that before!! Is this typical for this specific pick-up? Or is that the famed Bogner-sound? Or a magic combination of the two?? Something really special going on here!!
Fuck 24 fret guitars 7 string, 8 string 9 string down tuning ECT the standard e 21_22 fret guitars are the best go fuck yourself if you don't like it! Ola is good but his sound sucks when down tuned all the bullshit with 24 fret 7 8 9 string guitars down tune ECT have killed people wanting to play guitars they way people play guitar today makes me want to run away from it its not a existing sound to me at all
@@stevesavage3289 Have you ever heard of punctuation marks? And the hell is wrong with 24 frets? It's just 2 more notes to make a full octave for soloing.
Double the action in this one, Bogner Helios AND the Charvel Henrik Danhage. Also have a great Friday!
Ola, Gibson° acquired mesa...
Sound authentic.
The horror!
Thanks for the cool video! From Russia with love!
Hey ola, when are we gonna see a heavy relic solar? That’d be so sick.
Hey Ola, Have you ever thought/daydreamed about creating a concept album? If so, what would it be about? Rock on! 🤘🎸🎶
Ola Englund i would rather pay to see you do a pantera reunion then zakk wylde. Your style is closer to dimes sound.
That Helios sounds fucking pissed off, pretty badass tone.
Fuck yeah it does
really, Guys? that tone sounded boggy and underwater or in the Mudd or something
@@scottbrown9008 It sounds sludgey and badass to me. Filthy tone.
@@scottbrown9008 It has that evil low mid growl thing. Not a 5150 eq curve for sure but its kinda awesome.

You have got that right Brother
Trying to decide between this or the Sean Long sig model. Anything blaring you guys think I might have overlooked?
Evergrey are a criminally underrated band. Looking forward to their new release!
"Made in Mejicuuu". Greetings from the actual México
Reversed headstock is best headstock. Even on a strat. Hendrix had his shit together.
It suits this guitar but I prefer 4+4 (only because 8 inline is too long)
His whole axe was reversed lol
@@nickstimetz2792 maybe he chose to be left handed just to rock a reversed headstock.
Being left-handed might have had something to do with it.

How freaking awesome is Henrik Danhage that he sends you his Amp AND his Delay Pedals to you?!?!? WTF? That is like a dream come true

That is the most gnarly sounding amp I have ever heard.
Try a Friedman amp. I have both and Friedman ftw.
Love Henrik and Evergrey! Awesome stuff.
Henrik is a kickass guitarrist, Very cool to see Evergrey get some love, my favorite Band ever! You should Record an Evergrey cover, that be so badass
Mine too!
Finally! I've been commenting to have this uploaded for weeks. Henrik and the guys in Evergrey deserve more recognition.
You are moments away from hitting 600k subscribers!!!!!!!!
Massively badass sounding combination!! Loving it... 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Man, you're the best!
Been binge watching many YT guitar related videos but yours have a special flavor which makes your videos the bestest.
Awesome! Thanks for finally getting a bogner on the channel. Even cooler that it was henriks! Those delays sound so sweet!
Love my Helios! Not talked about enough, those amps. So versatile and metal.

I love Henrik’s sound, but the Uber is perfect for me. The crunchy squishy growl is perfect.
Would love to see you try out the Charvel Joe Duplantier signature.
I just ordered a Helios Eclipse; it should be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to try it.
Yes! A new video from Ola is the ONLY thing that can cheer me up a bit today!
So glad you did this on eternal nocturnal day!! Great song, great band, great player.
The only thing that would make this sound more badass ass is if it was plugged into a mesa recto cab. But fuck this sounds gnarly as fuck.

I liked how the short delay slap back sounded like ReeVerb!
Damn that Bogner sounds amazing. I think I'm going to have to look into to it too
Oh this is some nasty tone right here. Absolutely f**king beautiful.
I'm loving it. 😎👍
Bro. I was like “I should put headphones on for this”. Oh. My. God.
That bridge pickup makes the bogner sound brutal
Seymour Duncan JB. Old school pick up that gives newer shit a run for its money
Hendricks solo work is amazing that guy is solar wing is like no other
Nobody can break down a setup like OLA!
That tone is like a pissed off Tiger's growl!.
This is the best sounding Rig I have ever heard on this channel!
Interesting that he pairs a Duncan bridge pickup with a dimarzio neck pickup, and not just two Duncans or two dimarzios
