Am I missing something... Doesn't Thomas' commander let him add a counter more with modular? So there are some counters missing, what would add up, as they are constantly moved around
That's what I thought too
Zabaz doesn't increase the countes placed on another creature when they themselves die, as they have to be in play for the replacement effect to occur. It is possible Thomas missed a few modular triggers though 🤔
@@AffinityForCommander that's what I meant. He missed some (like most of them) at the beginning. And this would sum up on the long run.
Not to point in him negatively, it's just that I thought I missed something or am misreading the card
@@AffinityForCommanderI’m not sure exactly what you’re trying to say, but Zabaz DOES affect the death triggers of modular. If you have Zabaz out and a creature with modular 2 and 2 counters on it dies, it will put 3 counters on another creature. He doesn’t affect the number of counters when the creatures ETB, though.

Yahhhhhh Ur-dragon daddy if he's left alone gets dumb really fast when built right. I know mine is pretty quick and it doesn't even use the high end mana rocks lol.
Dragons are definitely one of the strongest tribes in terms of individual creature strength! 🐲

What was the "combo shenanigans" Thomas was about to pull off? Depending on what it is, he could've waited until Conor's upkeep to go off...
I'm not quite sure, as I wasn't present for this game! From what Thomas was saying in the audio though, it seems like he was 1 mana short of being able to win at instant speed! 🤔

No, as terror of the peak only cares about cast triggers (shriekmaw's ability is an ETB) 🙂
