You speak truth here. Finals for my son's class was on a Wednesday and graduation was on Friday. Someone was sent home on Wednesday because their overall average fell below 90% when they took their final. 2 days before graduation!
It happened to me in Week 5. I was dismissed because of academics. It devastated me & my class members. I sware I'm still mentally messed up. But I will be back because all that I've learned has been embedded in me to be better prepared. My opinion is I think the trainers should have an opportunity to help those who are struggling....stay 1 hr after class to help. Just my thoughts.
@@lyndagaston oh no. I am glad you’re not giving up and I admire your dedication. In my class we had people who had applied every year for 5 years and 10 years respectively. So don’t give! Do take it easy and give yourself grace.
I’m in the same boat than you are. Not being able to swim and scared of it is somewhat what has stopped me from applying. But I guess in a real life/death situation, my survival instinct will kick in. Thanks for sharing this personal opinion.
Omg so true week 3 triggered my anxiety so bad and I have to redo my Evac drill in the am. I am so stressed and crying daily. Thank you for this video @mynextlocation if you have any advice please share
I enjoyed this video. OMG! I'm looking to replay to Delta Airlines. I had applied last year in January and had my Virtual Interview in March but that was my first time. This information is really helping me and I now have an idea how training is going to be when I get far enough.
Hi! I really enjoy watching your videos. I am planning on applying soon. I wanted to ask a silly question. I do know there are no dumb questions. I wanted to ask about the water training. Do you have to know how to swim?
I applied to Delta Airlines. I did not het far submitted my resume', got asked to do the online test, then next time I was emailed said we're no longer moving further with you. I'm kinda sad 😔 I wish I had an idea why I did not get considered.
Thank you for sharing. It was very useful and encouraging. I got CJO so I’m going to the training soon. Do you have any advice as to prepar well for that intense training? Did you do anything for it before you actually started your training?
Congratulations 🍾🎉🎈! Go get those wings! I did not study ahead in anyway and honestly it would not have made any difference. Training is difficult not because content is hard but the conditions that have been set up to push you beyond your comfort zone! I do have a complete playlist on my entire training experience and how to be successful 👉 ua-cam.com/play/PLDhKHQTEgPLaYjyuocaQikcBfyx1o2mUV.html
Thank you so much for taking time to answer my question. I really appreciate it.🙏 You seem to be very smart already. I’ll do my best to follow your footsteps! And I hope I’ll have a roommate like you who is goal oriented, knows what’s important at any given moment and last but not least, very matured! Thank you again.🙏
I was a flight attendant for American I left I hated the company after 7 months , definitely was about to quit training atleast 2 times I failed one test 😂
Hi! I start training on the 12th, I was wondering what material is the training jackets made of? My current airline had training jackets and I broke out from them😢
I can’t necessarily specify because they might have changed it but jeans were worn on specific days and training uniform was mainly the latter. You’ll receive an email with full details.
@mynextlocation you already know. Thanks for the insightful content. It's really helping me to mentally prepare for what's possibly in store. What was the most challenging part of the training for you? If you don't mind me asking.
This training is horrible. It should be all on the job training. Get on the plane and train that way. You shouldn't have to go through all the torture and testing.

Congratulations and all the best! You’ll do great!👏
Just experienced this last Friday with your airline! Whew! 4 was scary but after it was done, it flowed perfectly and wasn’t too bad

Facts! But above all the company really does try to retain people😊.

Wow this is so helpful thank you. I’ve been getting anxious about the training that I will attend in January
You got this!
How did it go?! Hope you got those wings 🪽 🪽 🪽
You are absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for this!
Thank you too!!🙏🙏
This may sound stupid but I’m nervous about the water training because I can’t swim. How do they grade you on that?
Not sure about airlines outside of the United States but you’re not required to know how to swim with my airline
This is not a stupid question at all. I scrolled through the comments hoping someone already asked. 😊

Oh no! So sorry! Was it the subject who triggered you or the rigor of how fast you have to learn it?
so did you pass?
You’re welcome dear! Take it one day at a time and try to focus on the good things happening. Do not dwell on the negative🙌. How’s it going now?
How many hours would you say you need to study a day outside of class? 🙏🏾Great video #realtalk
Thank you! Typically I would spend about 2 to 3 hours

Oh really and I definitely agree with you! Becoming a flight attendant is not easy and even the job can be a lot!
Were you commuting as well?
@@mynextlocation I was based in DC then went to CLT To be closer to ATL but I feel like I would of enjoyed being a FA more if I was with delta
@taylorsmith180 got it!👌 You probably right but it’s never too late!😉
This video gave my PTSD 😂
Oh no oooo😂
Is that gonna be any harder than a 30+ weeks police academy or military boot camp?
I went through military basic training and FA training both were 8 weeks. I can honestly say FA training was harder
Can’t really say…. I’ve not done both
I would do marine corps boot camp again over flight attendant training ❤

Not sure of the material and I currently do not have it with me. But since this is a different airline it should be different.

I have training in a few months. I saw some slides where you were in a pool. Do they teach you how to swim or do you already have to know how?
Hello, you are not required to be a swimmer to be a flight attendant and that’s not the goal of the ditching aspect of training.

The content itself was not difficult. It was simply too much info within a short period of time. But overall it is doable, just pace yourself!

Hmm…I guess it’s the best they can do at the moment
do you n hav e to study export codes
For the FA role my airline doesn’t require this
❤
❤️❤️
Was weeks four and five better or worse than week 3? Also can you retake the final exam?
Week 3 was worse(most stressful) however the assessments weren’t difficult. Yes you can
