  • adyashanti.org - Have you ever experienced a moment when a spontaneous flow takes over and life feels effortless? In this eye-opening talk, Adyashanti illuminates the inherently existing, effortless awareness that is always present within us, which we can tap into at any time to realize a natural state of ease.
Excerpted from April 14, 2021 Online Broadcast, “The Way of Effortless Effort”:

    Quotes from this Video:
“There is something about true nature that is actually quite an effortless effort.”
“There's an ease in you that’s always and already present. It's not an ease that you need to create, or maintain, or manufacture.”
“Your breathing just happens, with great ease. It’s on automatic pilot, right? Like your heartbeat. Your heart is beating. It's not struggling to beat. It just beats.”
“Our true nature is always present. The only thing that comes and goes is our recognition of it.”

Yes..super awareness, effortless...I drive truck and it takes 110% attention... I'm in flow and at ease for 10 hours a day!! Talk about forced enlightenment...lol... Greatest meditation for me is driving!! Just thought I'd share my "active meditation"... ❤️

      Hi Craig.
Being a biker, I know what you experience. While meditation is what actually what leads us to that experience, meditation is much more vast than just sitting with eyes closed.
Just as there are countless ways to kneel before God/Life/Existence..
..just as there are countless ways in which love can flow..
..meditation can happen in countless ways.
What a driver or biker may experience on his journey is a natural happening of meditation, with no effort at all.
My approach to life is that when you do whatever you are doing with Love (Read whatever suits you- Compassion/Awareness/Presence/Concentration) then you are in meditation, you are in deep prayer.
Happy for you, keep the wheels of your truck and your life rolling this way.
      God bless.

I've actually thought this is legit on multiple levels. When I'm upset I like to walk or drive depending on season or weather. I kinda wonder if at some level driving is like self administered EMDR therapy. You're scanning left and right, aware of your "body" (the car you've made an extension of yourself) and then you can slowly unfold anything that is distressing you.
Cool in a sense you can get that out of your job!

@@johnpienta4200 yes..I had fought it and thought of it as merely a "job" ... getting somewhere and driving was an obstacle...but that's our problem... never getting there because we're always trying to get there...lol...It finally forced me into conquering thought (40 years driving)... Now I must confer with mind as It is silent...In this state,we must have compassion to accept the spinning, senselessness of others...lol...

driving home today I was acutely aware of the inherent ease that is always here, always... when nothing is in the way it's always here... even when it seems something IS in the way it's here. it's here- it's now- it's always...

U must not smoke or drink alocohol or dont do any intense activities. My exhaustion and meditation has led me at 29 to want to just follow flow and let off the gas bring it all the way down to a slow speed and than get back on the gas. Mainly because that is what is being asked for the the highest option to avoid suffering. The highest flow action w3 can call it. To take a couple breathes on the let off. But also becuase not all the time is there anyone behind me or theres another lane where they can pass me. Sometimes I can hold speed cause I must and can and sometimes I speed and joy ride that way to. Sometime I put my head outside the window. Turn up. Namaste. Flow on the road not so easy when someone is behind u? Haha let off the gas? Or just breathe the anxiety knowing the anxiety from going idle speed with drivers or even a cop behind you will make the anxiety u feel 2x lol ahahahah

This is so clear! Thank you! I love that “true meditation” is resting in what is already aware - the example of “seeing” is so much better for me to grasp than even being aware of breathing - the total effortlessness of noticing things - beautiful! 💕

Anyones who is inspired to live a intense lifestyle almost everyday like my self and smokes a lot of weed or anything, and falls away from center on purpose for the experience, money, life, etc, knows that breathing is not automatic.
My body will let me know when to take another breathe, but it is up to me to engage in creating a healthy and best breathe, by conciously inhaling slowly and deeply, thru the nose, try to hold even if its for a moment, enjoy, and release fully nice n slow and completely with the tongue on your roof and not worrying about any loud car noises messing up finishing that slow exhale out your nose fully till the end, or out of puckered small hole thru your mouth and lips, for example.
    Namaste everyone.
