In America, we don’t typically eat #3 as presented. However, it’s not uncommon at all to go to non-fast food restaurants and get a hamburger/cheeseburger(on a bun, not hamburger steak) that has a fried egg on it. Very tasty.
Yeah I think in Japan when they say Hamburger it's just the Meat Patty without Bun like in America or another place. But I think the way the Meat Patty are made is the same
I didn't know that in America, it's rare to eat a meat patty as is!! Thank you for letting me know☺️ In Japan, if you eat it without a bun, it's officially called a "Hamburg steak", and if you eat it with a bun, it's called a "hamburger"!!
@@DigDigJAPAN It's called a hamburger steak here as well, but it's an "old fashioned" meal you don't see much. Usually with mashed potatoes and beef gravy on the potatoes and patty. A side of peas or green beans or corn is common. But by far the most common way to eat a ground beef patty here is on a bun or bread (sometimes lightly toasted) as a hamburger.
@@Jeff-cn9up In some areas of the US, it's still quite common! In the deep south states, particularly - in Louisiana, at least, it's super common to have hamburger steak as an option and semi-often as a special in restaurants. Has been for the twenty some years I've lived here. Definitely not with the egg though - I've never seen one served like that. But on a hamburger with the bun, absolutely. It's delicious.
US person here: in hamburger dishes here we either place an egg on a burger, or mix it it in with ground beef, we have instant Hamburg meals but its a lot different, instead of an egg they come with mashed potatoes and green beans.
I'm really curious about American instant hamburgs!! Mashed potatoes and kidney beans would go really well together. I want to eat American hamburger dishes right now🤤

In Hawaii, there is a dish called Loco Moco. And it is essentially a beef patty (or pork depending on who you ask/who’s house it is haha) with a fried egg on top, sitting on a bed of rice, with a savoury dark gravy. You could say it is a creative and cosy comfort food. But different families make different versions, and you could even make it at home right this moment 😊
As for hamburg steak we don't really have that But we have something similar called Salisbury steak it is a meat patty that is covered in usually a mushroom gravy But the meat patty you had that had ketchup is close to meatloaf
Great video showcasing more konbini goodies! I’m flying to Japan in almost two weeks and I booked a hotel with a FamilyMart next door! I like the hamburg steak with eggs combo pack and the chips with SPAM flavor is very interesting! I happened to love SPAM here.

Hi hi! The burger with egg is definitely not usual over here, but I totally wouldn't be against trying it, it looked so delicious! It made me laugh that Mr. Dig was just as surprised as I was that the egg didn't cook through in the microwave, it's gotta be some type of magic! Funny you mentioned the green curry Luigi noodles weren't spicy, I watched another channel and they said they found it rather spicy, which surprised me cause, being a game and all, you'd think the main focus would be children so it wouldn't have that strong of a spicy taste. I hope that having a citrus-y drink with fatty foods to make you feel better is actually a thing cause I also do that, I specially have it with sushi cause I think the fresh lemon goes well with the sushi, but that's a personal preference haha Once again Mrs Dig's nails are beautiful, and this time I'm actually wearing a glitter very similar to hers which was a nice coincidence! Hello😆 I was really surprised that the egg wasn't cooked. It's a mystery even now when I think about it😂 Luigi's noodles weren't that spicy!! I'm so curious about that green curry ramen. I've seen people from comments like yours saying it's not spicy at all to people saying it's way too hot! Haha.
On the west coast of Canada it is very unusual to have an egg on a hamburger. The sandwich had a very unsual combination of ingredients. As for all the sandwich filling being in middle I probably would have opened it and spread the filling out to edges of the bread, haha. I have never seen or heard of a sandwich with brocolli in it. I had not heard that adding an egg to spicy food will lessen the heat of the spice. I know that eating raw cucumber can help cool the spiciness, I often at plain yogurt, to lower spiciness.

Spam stands for Spiced Ham. Sp/am. So the spices they use on the ham is what they would have used on the chips. I have never in my life ever heard someone refer to spam as expensive though. 2:05 they sure are "good friends" ehehehe. seriously though that mug is super adorable i want it sm? but also i'm kind of confused about what "white peach" means. is it like america's "blue raspberry" in that theres not actually a BLUE raspberry or WHITE peach its more referring to the colour?
I can tell you that peaches come in both a yellow and white variety. You can even find them in most grocery stores here in America. The white ones tend to be a little more mild then their yellow cousins.
@@DigDigJAPAN That's so fascinating!!! I'm sure a lot of Americans don't even know the truth about "blue raspberry" lol. You know why they make it that way? It's because so many other flavors use red or pink food colouring, and so there's a ton of blue colouring left over.
Recently eggs have become expensive in Japan too🥹 I want to eat them every day, but it's a pain that they're so expensive🥹 Is American jelly artificial? Cheap jellies in Japan might be artificial too...😂 lol
@@DigDigJAPAN it's possible that some cheap jelly are artificial but I'm not sure,I just know a lot of American stuff isn't very pure with ingredients, yeah a pack of 12 eggs has been almost 10 us dollars before, nearly a buck a egg that's a bit ridiculous
On the hamburger with fried egg, we have a steak and eggs breakfast here, which is grilled steak with eggs over easy or sunny side up. With crisp hashbrowns it is very delicious. That looks like steak with a poached egg instead of fried. And I would usually use A1 steak sauce or Worcestershire sauce on mine, unless I wanted to spice it up, then I would add Jalapeno Hickory, or Mesquite Barbeque sauce. Seriously, I am concerned about your blood sugar levels. You eat more sweet stuff in one sitting than I do in 6 months. How have you not developed diabetes yet? You must walk a LOT to work off all those calories. The Yokan reminds me of salt water taffy a little bit. And if you can get it in Japan, try King's Hawaiian bread. It HAS to be King's, but it is one of my favorite store bought breads. For home made bread I prefer sourdough. If my breadmaker could make it properly, I'd have fresh sourdough every day. I think they just add the smoke flavoring from the Spam to the chips after they fry them. Are you sure that is coffee? It looks a lot like hot cocoa.
That's a very nice breakfast!! The crispy hash browns are definitely delicious too🤤Your breakfast is so elegant and I want to copy it!!! Thank you for your concern🥹 I haven't got diabetes yet and I don't have any bad numbers, but I'm worried about when I'll get sick. I'm exercising a little!! I looked up salt water taffy and it's definitely a bit similar! I don't know if the taste is similar, but this looks delicious too! I'd like to try King's Hawaiian bread! It's not sold in regular supermarkets, so I'll look for it. I'd like to try your fresh sourdough🍞 It's coffee with milk powder, but it turned out to be a cocoa color☕️lol
@@DigDigJAPAN Salt water taffy is an acquired taste, but I enjoy it. I think Amazon Japan offer King's Hawaiian bread, I know I've seen it a few times on Amazon US. And there are many recipes for sourdough bread. You can make your own starter easily and the rest of the ingredients are pretty much standard. My personal favorite is egg salad on grilled sourdough with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I usually use maple cured bacon for mine. When it's cooked just right, it's right on the edge of crisp while still having good texture.
Hi☺️I would like to make a halal version someday!! I'm glad you've watched my videos so much!! I'll upload more and more videos from now on to make up for your regrets, so please look forward to it😆👍🏻

I definitely imagine it being eaten with potatoes ☺️ It goes really well with hamburgers 👍🏻
Love the one with the cute cup can I have it 😂
If you come and collect it, I'll give it to you 😆 lol
2:05 they sure are "good friends" ehehehe. seriously though that mug is super adorable i want it sm? but also i'm kind of confused about what "white peach" means. is it like america's "blue raspberry" in that theres not actually a BLUE raspberry or WHITE peach its more referring to the colour?
I can tell you that peaches come in both a yellow and white variety. You can even find them in most grocery stores here in America. The white ones tend to be a little more mild then their yellow cousins.
You're right! Thanks for answering 🍑
@@DigDigJAPAN That's so fascinating!!! I'm sure a lot of Americans don't even know the truth about "blue raspberry" lol. You know why they make it that way? It's because so many other flavors use red or pink food colouring, and so there's a ton of blue colouring left over.
This videos are exactly like the ones Dancing Bacon does.
I’m surprised the egg still had liquid yolk inside
I was very surprised by this too!! It was very strange 🤔
British…spam crisps, oh my…they would sell out here.
It's quite popular in Japan as well🤣✨
wait, it's all sweet bean paste?
They all had bean paste in them and they were so sweet in my mouth 🫘 lol

You bruised your finger? I saw as you were eating the jelly. Be careful. Also please find more curry bun to eat :) thank you
Thank you for noticing the small details and being even more concerned about me 🥹 I accidentally pinched my finger 🥹💦 I'll post more curry bread!!
@@DigDigJAPAN of course, like mom #2 lol, take care and thank you, I love curry bread
I don't care for bean paste. Other stuff looked good.
It's true that people's tastes differ when it comes to bean paste 😂
I love eating eggs with meat,it's just eggs are so expensive now.
I'd love to eat Japanese jello American jello is nothing but artificial stuff
Recently eggs have become expensive in Japan too🥹 I want to eat them every day, but it's a pain that they're so expensive🥹
Is American jelly artificial? Cheap jellies in Japan might be artificial too...😂 lol
@@DigDigJAPAN it's possible that some cheap jelly are artificial but I'm not sure,I just know a lot of American stuff isn't very pure with ingredients, yeah a pack of 12 eggs has been almost 10 us dollars before, nearly a buck a egg that's a bit ridiculous
😘😘🇧🇷
🇧🇷💖🇯🇵
You don’t need any tooth to eat it! 😂
It's so soft that it's no exaggeration to say it's like a drink ☺️ lol
Thank you for your concern🥹
I haven't got diabetes yet and I don't have any bad numbers, but I'm worried about when I'll get sick. I'm exercising a little!!
I looked up salt water taffy and it's definitely a bit similar! I don't know if the taste is similar, but this looks delicious too!
I'd like to try King's Hawaiian bread! It's not sold in regular supermarkets, so I'll look for it. I'd like to try your fresh sourdough🍞
It's coffee with milk powder, but it turned out to be a cocoa color☕️lol
@@DigDigJAPAN Salt water taffy is an acquired taste, but I enjoy it. I think Amazon Japan offer King's Hawaiian bread, I know I've seen it a few times on Amazon US. And there are many recipes for sourdough bread. You can make your own starter easily and the rest of the ingredients are pretty much standard.
My personal favorite is egg salad on grilled sourdough with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I usually use maple cured bacon for mine. When it's cooked just right, it's right on the edge of crisp while still having good texture.
Hi. Can you make a halal version sometime? I’ve been watching your content for a while and my only regret is i didnt watch them sooner 😂
