So you want to have a wish granted. You make a device that can track the energy emitted by seven wish orbs so you can hunt them down and summon a massive Dragon just for him to say “I can’t do that”. You can’t grant any wish? I wish I knew what the limits of all the Dragon Balls are.

No better place to start than the Dragon Balls on Earth. These Dragon Balls were originally made by Kami at some point after he split himself in two - since Demon King Piccolo didn’t know about them. Kami also felt nostalgic when he created them, but called it a racial memory instead of just a memory. This should mean he was likely able to make them without being taught like Namekians in the Dragon Clan on Namek are. It also explains their clear weaknesses and differences from their Namekian counterparts.

At 3:07 I say there's a "1 year revival limit" on the Dragon Balls. This is contentious so I went with the popular interpretation since I didn't want to get too lost in the sauce. The other interpretation is that the Dragon Balls can't revive LARGE groups outside of the past year (aka the Saiyans won't get revived). It's worded vaguely enough to apply to any revival wish though and with the body restoration issue I mention in the video and souls being reincarnated - it would make sense to have a limit on when individuals could be revived as well. Just thought I'd mention it here!

What if souls were immortal? And cannot be destroyed or erased whatsoever(just their bodies, which can be restored infinite times in Otherworld)? Like if Dead Vegeta got killed by Kid Buu and respawned in Otherworld. And if all Universes orbited around one gigantic Otherworld(which is indestructible) and souls from everywhere can go there after their bodies died? How'd that have been like?

Sorry for informing u but... you forgot to give evil dragon balls (gt ones but as a dragon so like Sin-Shenron or any other) and dark dragon balls (the ones which were basically used at the start of the gt) and I know what their limits and effects are but some of people might not know about it

I believe that the Super Dragon Balls (and perhaps even Zalama himself) were created to be equal in power and ability to Grand Zeno himself; to reverse whatever Zeno had previously done and be a balance of creation to Zeno's destruction. We see this throughout Super; Future Zeno erased Zamasu, despite him being granted immortality by Super Shenron, and Super Shenron was able to restore the universes that Zeno had erased. It's a balancing act. Both are able to counter the others' decisions effectively
Super dragon balls are said to have no actual limits so theoretically someone can make a wish to kill the omni king or grand priest. Now this can be retconned later just like how they did the earth's dragonballs who knows or super shernron needs some permission from higher gods to grant such a wish lol
Even Whis said Zeno can erase anything regardless of the size or complexity so they both are pretty balanced

You gotta give Shenron a break, Goku and co ask for some pretty ridiculous stuff compared to normal people. Of course he started off the series by saying "I can grant any possible wish" and by the end he's saying "uh... maybe I can grant that wish". Before the Z-Fighters, Shenron was probably used for millions of dollars, bringing a loved one back to life, etc... so he couldn't think of a wish he couldn't grant. After the Z-fighters discovered the dragon balls, now he's being asked to stop super powered space aliens, revive the majority of the population of a planet, and to turn a mortal into a god.
It's all meta plot-related stuff. In the beginning it was this wondrous, magical thing. The culmination of an adventure.
By the end, it's just a revive potion they pick up on farm from a little green man who lives in the sky.
Of course people would be asking for the power to be a god left and right. Fame? Wealth? Longevity? Scientific breakthroughs? All acquirable by asking for *power*.
In an adventure show, wishes are cool. A reward that can shake up the status quo. In a wrestling show about working out and then beating up the bad man, they can't be allowed because they'd undermine the premise.

...ironically, since her wishes are totally selfish, she's probably preventing those shadow dragons from forming from that whole positive/negative energy they had going on in GT.

@@Mikazuchireborn Actually, yeah... They kept using the dragon balls too many consecutive times, so instead of getting rid of the negative energy, it overflows and makes shadow dragons... By what you said, then "light dragons" could show up...? From the good energy overflowing...? If they, for whatever reason, don't want to bring them back, they could make those new ones, I guess... Seems stupid, thinking about it for more than 3 seconds. Almost all of them'd be Nuova-level good
I always just assumed that the whole “bodies are needed to be preserved” rule was retconned or just ignored because they realised it would be hard to explain scenes where characters bodies are completely blown up or incinerated
Just assume Kami trained or improved the Dragon Ball's to remove that limitation.
Wasn't Goku revived in the after life? His body wasn't restored. It basically grew a new body were his soul was. If the rule was still aplicable. The body of Goku that was left over when he died fighting Raditz should be somewhere and that's were he should be reviving. So yeah the rule skip was done from the gap between DB and DBZ
I only have one hope, that nappa was revived by the dragon balls. I doubt it though because it was everyone killed by freiza and his men on namek.

Goku's body was sent to the Other World by Kami when he died (episode 5). In episode 6, Kami says "and that's why I brought him here in flesh and blood". So Goku never lost his body. But he is still dead, as represented by his halo. He just has a body. That's why reviving him just removes the "dead" status (aka the halo) and he can freely return to the living world.
@@_P2M_ but then skip to chaotzu who self destructed and kept his body in the after life or vegeta who turned to dust against buu where king yemma says he saved vageta's body as a back up plan against buu.
Zamasu was still immortal by the definition of him not being mortal after the wish. Zeno is just above all of that and doesn’t kill but completely scrubs him from the timeline. As well as the rest of that universe

My theory is that Zamasu wasn't completely immortal anymore after he fused with Goku Black. This is also proven when he puts a fight against Vegito. Vegito's attack damage him which if Zamasu would be immortal, it should never happen. But Goku's body was not immortal. Thus fused Zamasu wasn't 100% immortal either.

7:30 this can be kind of interesting since broly teleports at the perfect time which could mean that broly was already talking to shenron and he gave him permission right before he was about to die or at least out of panick but I doubt this was thought of when writing
Or… it’s entirely possible that Broly’s power level just depleted so low after getting wrecked by Gogeta for 4 minutes straight that his power level went lower than Dende’s. Same thing happened to Goku in the Buu saga where Shenron can restore Goku’s energy without requiring his permission.
Yall still need to remember shenron is a sentient being, the dude probably saw broly's situation and said "oh damn I should probably get him out before he gets obliterated"

I believe that the answer to this could be that zeno and the super dragon balls can undo or counter the other - Kinda balancing each other out.
So zeno can undo the effects of the super dragon balls with erasure, but the super dragon balls can also undo the effects of Zenos erasure.

With regards to the "intact body to revive characters" part, my theory is that if the person was strong enough, it would take another wish to remake their body - which before the multiple wishes upgrade was a pretty big deal - and with exceptionally strong people like Frieza, regenerating their body would be beyond Shenron's power.
As for Zamasu's immortality, the definition of Immortality is "living forever; never dying or decaying." When Zeno erased the timeline, Zamasu wasn't killed, he simply stopped existing. He's neither alive nor dead, mortal nor immortal, because he doesn't exist anymore. This isn't a limit of the Super Dragon Balls, it's a limit of immortality.
I doubt fixing Freiza's body was beyond Shenron's power. There's nothing stating he's incapable of lying and since he knows the specifics of Frieza's death he probably knows that he was gonna pop the Earth and just didn't want to do it. Porunga goes out of his way to do extra bits unasked for while Shenron only goes by what you say with the exception of giving Piccolo "a little extra" that one time. Freiza was turned into space sushi so he'd be revived as space sushi since he didn't like him, I mean Goku was atomized by Cell's suicide attack and was revived just fine and he was way stronger than Mecha Frieza at that point.
Your immortality thing doesn't work either since Beerus himself said he couldn't kill him, even when showcasing his own Destruction/Hakai (which destroys the target beyond conventional life and death as it effects matter, energy and the soul) on present Zamasu earlier on.
I think the most plausible theory is that Zeno's powers are just waaay more powerul than the GoDs (the term used for his "Erasure" power seems to be specifically different than the GoDs' "Destruction"). But the theory mentioned by others in the comments that Zeno and the Super DBs can just cancel each other out with their powers is also plausible.
@@succubastard1019 My theory is that the Hakai doesn't erase, it only destroys. There's a big difference there; if it just destroys the target but the components of the target still exist in some form, then immortality would just put the components back together. If it's true erasure, like with what Zeno does, then there's nothing to bring back.
The target is a house. Killing the target is leveling the house. Hakai/Destruction is turning the house to "dust" on sub-atomic levels. Erasure is making the house cease to exist in _any_ fashion.

I'm not sure I'm correct on this but if I remember correctly every universe is not only the physical plane, each universe contains its own Heaven, Hell and after life realms. This is what Zeno mentioned in the tournament of power when they mentioned their universe to be "erased" meaning their " heaven, hell and afterlife" was also erased, not only their souls and the physical world.
Meaning that Super Shenron when restoring a whole ass universe its not only restoring the physical plane but also their own Heaven and Hell realms with rules and everything.
7:30 Health care staff usually has to optain a patients consent before treatment, except if there is a life threatening situation and the patient isn’t able to respond. I imagine it being the same with the Broly situation. 😂

The super dragon balls making zamasu immortal was true. Zeno never "killed" him by definition. He destroyed the entire universe. Zamasu ceased to exist. How do you exist as an immortal within time and space if there is no time and space. Essentially he is simply non-existent by traditional standards.
I have an idea on the body preservation point.
In DB and early DBZ they were fairly new to using the dragon balls to revive people so they did not know all of the details and kept the bodies safe in case they were not restored, eventually they came to a point where they did not have a choice as bodies were completely destroyed and had to wish them back anyway and see if it worked, which it did.
As for Frieza we see that he is still alive when he is in pieces so we could assume that the wish brings them back to life in a state that they could survive in, most people need their whole body to survive but a race like Frieza was able to live as pieces so he was brought back like that, it could also just been Shenron not trying as hard to revive Frieza since he kinda has a bias as we see Shenron giving Piccolo that extra power as a bonus on top of his wish in Super Hero
Which is why I always wondered in the Finale of the T.O.P. Tournament Arc when Android 17's Wish restored all of the Universes that also brought the participants back to life,
I always wondered if 17's Wish also restored the Universes 13 to 18 as well, that would be an Interesting Plot Point to see.
I assume the 'restored universe' wish automatically included the participants on the grounds of them being from that universe and thus qualifying automatically.
It would be pretty scummy for Super Shenron to intentionally not bring back those who got erased for their universe.

Because it would be wish against will. Kami could make that wish himself probably, but it would make dragon ball useless for a year.

Akira Toriyama died of a subdural hematoma, which I believe Shenron would consider natural causes. Also, it's possible Toriyama would refuse revival even if it were possible.

I think its more of so, that mere immortality is not effective against Zen ' oh hence his immortality was useless against the Omni King. Its not the Super Dragon Ball's Limitation as they were able to redo the erasure of the macrocosms by Zen ' oh.

On the topic of immortality and hidden potential, something I've always wondered is why the Z-Fighters don't use the Dragonballs to wish for shortcuts to power or training. Goku would refuse because he likes to train and fight and Vegeta yada yada "Saiyan Pride", but I would think people like Yamcha or Krillen would love a way to more adequately keep up with the strongest of them, to say nothing of Non-Z-Fighter humans.
Doesn't have to even be a wish for a higher power level or transformation. Something as straightforward as "I wish I could have a Zenkai boost like the saiyans." Or "I wish I could easily learn and incorporate martial arts over time."
Kulilin probably trains just to follow the Turtle Hermit way, and Yamcha is too focused on baseball to care. Still weird that Tien doesn't wish for a Potential Unlock like Piccolo, or ask Elder Kai for one.
@@projekttaku1 Yamcha, Tien and Chaotziu probably don't know about the Potential unlock on the ground of being dead and it doesn't seem like Krillian mentioned namekians being able to do that. It seems like the Z warriors don't really ask about how to do any moves the other knows in general honestly, seeing how only Goku (then vegeta in Super) knows Instant Transmission despite how useful it would be and how often they find themselves in a rush.

I think the body thing can be explained as : Side characters have body weak enough that it does not require any more power to remake that body but bodies of main characters are so strong that it may require another wish to just make that body

To be fair, Shenron being confident he could initially grant any wish makes sense at that point in the series. He had no reason to believe anyone would be stronger than Kami or that the series would go beyond Earth and into space.

Super Shenron’s been stated over and over again that it can truly bestow any wish with no restrictions or limitations whatsoever. If the lesser gods think a bigger picture, they can use Super Shenron to take away all of Zeno’s powers and make him mortal like everybody else. Or even worse, Zamazu could’ve wish to become Omnipotent deity beyond all others in Totality of Existence. Which makes him and I quote; Omnipotent.

There IS a one year limit, but on mass revivals. Then again it depends on the "power of the creator".
To all those who might not know, Dragon ball creator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st. He made many peoples childhoods and many are devastated at his loss. Dragon ball will be continued. He passed away do to blood clotting in his brain, We miss you Akira and hope you are happy in the afterlife. "Villain's are remembered, Heroes are forgotten, But legends? Legends never die." We love you Akira.

Where does Zalama stand in the pantheon? Zeno and the gods of destruction eliminate things that cause problems in the universe/multiverse. The Kais and guardians create life then guide its development. The angels serve as impartial guides for the godly beings especially those responsible for destruction. So where does a dragon god fit into all this? Or is there something beyond the multiverse Zeno is responsible for where even greater powers are commonplace?
I can actually feel you've gotten a lot more confident while speaking and gotten more energetic in these videos since 5 years ago and I like it!
There's a correction to be made. Zamasu is immortal. He didn't die, he just doesn't exist. Which is different from being killed.
It is important to note that Zeno doesn't appear to use destruction based attacks like the gods of destruction, but uses complete erasure, which would ignore any form of immortality or anything else going on for a being, especially since we have never seen anything be able to resist erasure, so Zamasu was still immortal, but he was not eternal or other forms of terminology to make him integral to existence and non-existence, which would have prevented being erased (arguably) since it would have made him a necessary component for everything and nothing.

This may be non canon but in the game Dragon ball fusions a character named Pinich wished for the “ultimate fighting contest” to Shenron, to which he grants making an entire dimension with characters of diffrent timelines come together. Which is all over the place

It feels like Dragonball is means to used their creator power highly efficiently like if their creator is a normal computer that needs decade to complete a calculation the Dragonball is a quantum computer that only needs seconds to complete it.
