Pressed flowers, maybe a little vintage lace and vintage picture of a lady or change to forest background add mini forest animal with the elements as you did. Anyway loved your idea's.
Hi Kk. I just wanted to let you know that you have some great suggestions. I LOVE the idea of a forest with little forest critters, that would be adorable 😃 I have pinned your comment to the top of the comment feed 😉 Thanks for your ideas. It was hard to pick everyone had great ideas. Have a great week 💖
I said it once before and I'll say it again: You're a genius! Your creations are always unique and beautiful. I so appreciate your talents! Thank you for sharing!
All 3 turned out beautiful Donna. I love them all but the last one is my favorite. I love everything you used for it. Take care and God Bless y'all always
Hi Donna. I love all of them, but the last photo frame with the 9 little "windows" is my favorite. What an awesome idea!! Thank you again for sharing your talents and imagination with us! God bless!
Loved these frames. That green one with the ferns is perfect for spring, but like you, my favorite is the last one. I just love what you did. Some other items could be postage stamps, buttons, old jewelry, photos, sea glass, fabric flowers, lace, rubber stamped images, heart-shaped rocks, bird eggs, timy wreaths, nests, arrow heads, or miniature items from the store. I love to knit, so I would make the background different swatches of knit patterns. I am on the lookout for a frame like this. Thank you for the inspiration!!
I love all your ideas!! It's definitely a wonderful way to display our little treasures 🤗 Thanks so much for watching and sharing your ideas!! Take care 💖 🤗
Hello Donna! Wow...these frame makeovers turned out beautifully! I adore them all, especially the last project with the specimen cards and natural elements. Thank you for sharing! 🌿🌿🌿
I love them all but the tri-fold frame is my favorite ❤❤❤ I really think it's fabulous! As someone else has already commented I would do dried flowers. ❤
I was glad to see this video as I've got plenty of frames I picked up at my senior center. I love all these transformations with the frames. I love the one with 3 panels. If I were to do it 4 myself I'd put some lavender sprigs and vintage buttons. Or a different herb in each square. I enjoyed this DIY and thank you 4 sharing.
Beautiful projects. I was recently on vacation in California and found birch bark ribbon at Dollar Tree. It is a great dupe if you do not have the real thing in your area. Nancy
Oh that's awesome. I have seen people haul that ribbon, but haven't seen it at my DT. I'm thinking of going to a different DT, they seem to get the newer stuff, it's a smaller store too 🤷♀️ Thanks for watching 🤗
Love the hinged frame! As you were creating your beautiful project I was thinking Christmas cross stitch smalls would look really cute in the "windows." I am going to be on the lookout for that type of frame.
Donna, I absolutely love how you distressed the frame with plastic wrap! It looked so cool. I like those specimen cards!! Thanks for letting us know about them! I think my idea would be dried flowers in the little multi-frame piece. That would be so cute. I love your idea of using the specimen cards, birch bark, antler, etc. too! I wish I could find a mini frame like that. I'll be on the hunt. Thank you Donna for these wonderful projects, as always. You are so creative with natural elements!!!
I loved the ferns in the tiny openings. Rather than cover them with specimens, I think I would glue them to the wood--branches on the bottom rail, lichen in the top left corner, the butterfly folded slightly and attached at the top right outside corner, a silk fern in the center one or two and some moss on some of the bottom edges. If it were my project, I would probably find rose floral paper and add tiny silk roses as specimens in the center or on the edges.
Donna, as Always, your creations are absolutely STUNNING! You and Brandy from Making It My Own are my All Time Favorite Nature Element Media Artist out there!!! I look forward to watching your channel. I've watched all of your videos and can't get enough. I use a lot of nature elements in my DIYs. So, when I found you guys, I was thrilled! Love these projects, Donna! They all turned out so beautifully! I've never seen the plastic wrap technique done before, and really liked the end results! I am definitely going to give that a try.
I would cut out some of the backing squares off the little frames painted the mini frames with some glitter paint and put a tea light candle behind it....
Thanks so much 💖 I got the butterflies at my local dollar store, but I have seen some at Dollar Tree before as well. It's hit and miss though. You could find a butterfly image and back it with sturdy card stock. I've used magazines, Nature books or found images online. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 💖 🤗

On the tri-fold frame, I think it would look nice with velum on the back and put a candle behind.
Oooo, that really would be lovely! Thanks for the suggestion and for watching 💖😃

I love the use of natural items. Where did you find the butterfly for the shadowbox?
Thanks so much 💖 I got the butterflies at my local dollar store, but I have seen some at Dollar Tree before as well. It's hit and miss though. You could find a butterfly image and back it with sturdy card stock. I've used magazines, Nature books or found images online. Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching 💖 🤗
Why can’t you put the glass back in on the shadow box? It didn’t look like everything was too high. It would keep dust out.
You can if you'd like, but I didn't want the glare from the glass 😉 Sorry I didn't mention that!
Thanks for watching 💖🤗
