- We are back with an exquisite autumn Drive & Sound of my 2015 / 2016 MINI JCW and the optional John Cooper Works Pro Exhaust System. After a few miles with this exhaust you can really feel how much more punchy and aggressive the character of the engine got an I truly believe that it opened up around 15 hp when running it in "open valve" or Track Mode. Through the woods and on the northern German country roads you will hear the acceleration, pops & crackles from a kilometer away....mind-blowing for such and "affordable" car. The best 4 cylinder sound to date.
This vid makes me miss my 2016. Had one in exactly this same spec except it was in silver and blacked out rims. Same exhaust system but with carbon fiber tips and a manual transmission. Regret selling it so much. The driving experience was awesome. Nobody expected a little Cooper to sound like that!
Gutes Video. Machst das echt stark. Gute Bilder und schöner Sound. Kein unnötiges gequatsche oder irgendwelche Musik. So kann sich jeder seine Meinung zu den Fahrzeugen bilden und einen tollen Eindruck gewinnen. Weiter so! :)

Great Mini reviews. Been watching them a couple of times in anticipation of my Mini JCW delivery. Question, do you recommend the tuning kit? Sounds pretty insane and gives that little beast a completely different character!
+Valentin Schoettle For the JCW it isn't the tuning kit, just the exhaust system without software box. But I really recommend this update, its a huge difference to have this active exhaust system, its soo much louder and so much more show!

ich hab da mal eine frage. Weißt du schon irgendwas über das 2018er Facelift beim F56 JCW? über die anderen Modelle ist ja schon einiges bekannt, wie zb. das 7 gang dkg, jedoch haben sie sich zum JCW ,,noch'' nicht geäußert.. vielleicht weißt du ja etwas .. LG

Ja, die Sony Kamera läuft mit externem Mikro, auch von Sony. Die GoPros sind normaler Ton, intern.

Ja, technisch sind die baugleich meines Wissens, es gibt bei MINI aber eine andere Ordernummer für diese Paket.

Hi, starkes Video! Ist der Klang bei geschlossener Klappe, deutlich schlechter als bei der Serien JCW Anlage? In den meisten Videos klingt es zumindest, leider, nicht mehr so tief und eher blechernd.
Richtig. Mit geschlossener Klappe klingt er deutlich heller als der serienmäßige JCW Auspuff.
hey! I've noticed that you label the mode as 'Sport' both with Valve Closed or Valve Open. Is the 'Valve Open Sport' the equivalent to the 'Track Mode' MINI advertises on its website? Thank you!!
Sport Mode (Car) has no influence on Track Mode (exhaust) via the remote control. They run independent.

Du wohnst im LK Wolfenbüttel? Habe dich hier noch nie gesehen, das Auto wäre mir definitiv aufgefallen, haha. Ich möchte mir auch den F56 JCW bestellen, was genau ist dieser "Pro Exhaust"? Im Zubehör und im Händler-Konfigurator habe ich solch eine Option nicht gefunden. Abgasanlagen externer Hersteller möchte ich eigentlich nicht verbauen, um meine Garantie nicht zu gefährden, deswegen würde mich das schon sehr interessieren.
Moin. Auto ist mittlerweile schon wieder verkauft und macht nun Frankfurt am Main unsicher;) Nicht weil es kein gutes Auto war sondern weil wir (wie du evtl. bereits mitbekommen hast) kürzlich auf einen neuen Focus RS geupgraded haben der ein Community Fahrzeug ist. Zum Pro-Exhaust, definitiv kaufen sobald du einen JCW hast, der ist jeden Cent wert und macht aus einem sehr guten Auto etwas einzigartiges. Kann man über den Zubehör bei MINI bestellen und kann von jedem BMW / MINI Händler verbaut werden, man braucht nicht zum TÜV und die Garantie bleibt natürlich auch erhalten. Grüße, AMTV

Genaue Kosten kann ich dir gar nicht sagen, aber irgendwas um 1.800 EUR. Pro-Kit gibt es in dem Sinne nicht, weil nur der Auspuff gewechselt wird. Die Leistung steigt demnach auch nicht, dennoch wird das Ansprechverhalten durch den Wegfall des MSD deutlich besser.

It's the original catback system. It's an extra cost option. On a Cooper S it comes with a power increase also. 211HP instead of 192HP.
byf43 i know this system has a remap too , do you think is possible to install a jb4 without affecting the jcw remap i already have ?
Noch besser klingt nur der A45 AMG mit 4 Zylindern oder der Golf 7 R mit AlphaMale Abgasanlage. Wenn man das Schaltknallen noch ein bisschen lauter bekommt wäre der Sound PERFEKT für mich. Mit Oropax auf der Autobahn fahren bin ich eh von meiner Kiste gewohnt :D
die Anlage ist um einiges lauter als ein A45, selbst mit der Sportabgasanlage. Der Klang der VAG 4 Zylinder taugt mir leider nicht

Passt meines Wissens nur bei F56 Cooper S und JCW. Gibt's beim Mini Händler.
Du redest in der Beschreibung von "deinem" Mini.
Wenn ich also 1 und 1 zusammenzähle, heißt das, dass Du aus Wolfenbüttel bzw. Landkreis Wolfenbüttel kommst? :)

Hi Automann! Thanks for your wonderful video! I have a question for you: the jcw with jcw pro exhaust has the same sound of a Cooper S with tuning kit? According to me the JCW's sound is louder and better than the S with jcw tunining kit. What is your opinion? Thanks a lot!
Sound pretty much the same I would say. Maybe the JCW is a bit more aggressive as the engine mapping is different but the engine and exhaust are pretty identical so very similar in sound.

Kann man den Sound auch aus einem GTI zaubern? Was meinst du?
Ich denke theoretisch schon mit einer Klappenanlage, praktisch habe ich so etwas allerdings noch nie bei einem anderen 4-Zylinder gehört. Da gehört schon viel Ingenieurskunst dazu den Sound so laut, aber dennoch nie nervend und immer noch potent rüber kommen zu lassen.
+Automann-TV naja wenn ich auf Sport stelle und die Klappen offen sind darf das schon laut und auf Dauer nervig sein und es ist ja normal das man nicht immer mit offener Klappe rumfährt. Wenn es anfängt zu stören kann man ja die Klappe schließen.

i just got this exhaust installed and i wish it was louder. very quiet exhaust. the pops and bangs are loud, but wide open throttle..... the exhaust is still fairly quiet for something that claims to be "track only" with the flaps open. would have loved this exhaust to be like 10 times as loud as it is

@@skltr21 you should stop talking rubbish. The exhaust is very loud especially for a MINI. Compare it to modern cars like AMG 45 or Golf GTI with PPF/OPF and you will see how good it actually is. Do you still own the car?
@@AnCapKadse yes I still own the car and drive jt daily. It's loud on startup and that's about it. Cold start is loud. I wish it was that loud all the time

They changed the computer program to make the exhaust pop again. I have a 2008 JCW and it is quiet no loud poping. I drove a 2010 that did this and at times it felt like someone hit the floor of the car with a big hammer. I don't care for that much.
Pops are the best in the sound of this car. I love it

Min Wang this definitely has more character than the golf r! It really stands out and sets it self apart from pretty much everything out there. And you can get this as a convertible if open air driving is your thing.
But if you care more about outright power and straight line performance, the golf r is the one to go for. the minis definitely aren't for everyone.
Everyone gets a golf, am shore its a great car but i got a Cooper s jcw two days ago, its this best car i have ever driven, so fully of character and real great performance.

+Runn3r89 Es ist in der Tat absolut krass was die Abgasanlage produziert! Aber diesen Sound gibts ja auch nur im Track Mode + Sport. Ansonsten ist alles ganz "zivil" :)

Es gibt eine separate Fernbedienung für die Klappe, welche unabhängig von den Drive Modes funktioniert. Offene Klappe im normalen Modus ist auch sehr interessant;)

Falls es was nachgerüstetes ist, kann ich keine Fernbedienung haben. Der Verkäufer sagte mir, dass das Ding ab Werk schon eine Klappenanlage hat, deshalb stelle ich so blöde Fragen😂
+Bilo Bilo Der Verkäufer hat keine Ahnung;) Die serienmäßige Abgasanlage vom JCW hat keine Klappensteuerung. Man kann allerdings aus dem Zubehör die JCW Pro Anlage ordern. Die hat dann Klappen die per Ferbedienung gesteuert werden und die ist hier bei diesem Fahrzeug verbaut.
Ist die auch Legal ?

Leonhard H. Die Klappe darf mein eigentlich im Straßenverkehr nicht öffnen. Die Abgasanlage hat eine Prüfnummer die auch in den Fahrzeugpapieren zu finden ist, gibt also keine ABE.

Komme nicht direkt aus der Umgebung. Wir haben allerdings schon länger eine gute Zusammenarbeit mit der Niederlassung in Nürnberg.
