I don't think the plaintiff understood anything about forgery. I don't think he purposely signed the other man's name to defraud the system, he just didn't understand what he was supposed to do.

@@kirkmo1666 "Justice delayed is justice denied" is a legal maxim. It means that if legal redress or equitable relief to an injured party is available, but is not forthcoming in a timely fashion, it is effectively the same as having no remedy at all. This principle is the basis for the right to a speedy trial and similar rights which are meant to expedite the legal system, because of the unfairness for the injured party who sustained the injury having little hope for timely and effective remedy and resolution. The phrase has become a rallying cry for legal reformers who view courts, tribunals, judges, arbitrators, administrative law judges, commissions[A] or governments as acting too slowly in resolving legal issues - either because the case is too complex, the existing system is too complex or overburdened, or because the issue or party in question lacks political favour. Individual cases may be affected by judicial hesitancy to make a decision. Statutes and court rules have tried to control the tendency; and judges may be subject to oversight and even discipline for persistent failures to decide matters timely, or accurately report their backlog. When a court takes a matter "under advisement" - awaiting the issue of a judicial opinion, order or judgement and forestalls final adjudication of a lawsuit or resolution of a motion - the issue of timeliness of the decision(s) comes into play. This is classic Nigerian! 😂 He said the judge doesn’t know what she is talking about! Lol He thinks she is wrong though! Hahahahahahaha Lol! Being Nigerian, this reminds me of my family gatherings. Am argument can be endless regardless of facts! Lol
I don’t think the Plaintiff understood about signing the title. He looked legit confused about it. And the defendant played off of that. I’m glad the defendant got his money back. He legit was trying to do business with his ppl and instead got scammed.
Clearly the plaintiff is new to the country and didn’t understand what was going on, but the Defendant has been here a while and thought he found a sucked who he could scam. Glad the judge understood that and undid the deal and gave the plaintiff all his money back. Also, the Plaintiff is very well-spoken and educated and did a very good job of getting a paper trail so he could pursue it. Good for him.
Look at my Nigerian brothers 😂😂😂, this happens a lot among Nigerians, when one guy who’s been in the states longer than the other Nigerian tries to trick him into doing some not so legal shit (cus that’s how we role in Nigeria), and from their accents you can tell which one has been in the states longer lol,
I'm pretty sure that the defendant is the Nigerian prince who keeps sending emails offering me a 50% share of his multi-million dollars inheritance. All I have to do is send him $200 for legal fees 🙄
I love how fearless Douglas is! I'm waiting for the episode where he finally just squares up with somebody to throw hands 😂 He seems like he would definitely fight dirty. Lol
Halfway listening to this I'm like the good old AFRICAN SCAM😂😂😂the defendant tried to wipe his hands of the situation but got bit at the end 🤷🏾♀️ glad the plaintiff got his money back despite what he did wrong listening to the defendant.
He try to play him and got played. I'm glad the he brought it to court and the judge ruled in his favor because what the defendant did was scammed... It is rules and regulation to that auction stuff and the fact that he's cutting corners with them isn't going to turnout well...
It’s frustrating that she doesn’t acknowledge that people from outside the United States obviously don’t understand every rule and law IN the United States.
It's a person's duty when they enter another country to know about the laws and regulations of that particular country - that goes for anybody anywhere.
14:32 this is the first time since 2011 that I have seen Milian smack down the gavel during a trial. Wow! That happened so rarely in the latest seasons of this show.
Called “Jumping Title” Should never fly in court. Keeps people from stealing cars and selling them without an interest. Very common for children trying to sell a car in their parent’s name without their permission. 🤦🏾♂️ Good catch Judge!
I hope the show sent this case directly to the local police. They were both dumb enough to publicly use their names and give details about where they live/ do business on the show.
Damn this might of been the case heard right after JM was told that the show was ending 😯😯 she gave him the most money she has given in a while even with unclean hands
😢 He really didn’t understand that he was signing in place of Deji. It’s obvious the defendant told him some foolishness & convinced the plaintiff that he was just documenting the person with the dealers license. Defendant is a scumbag who took advantage of the plaintiff’s ignorance of the process. The plaintiff needs to go and unregister his name from that title IMMEDIATELY! If there’s an accident or any other crime involving that vehicle he is still responsible until he does so.

Yah, I’m buying of a car with a co-buyer…NOT! The plaintiff was scammed by a TOTAL NIGERIAN SCAMMER. He got tired of scamming lonely people on certain websites now the defendant is scamming other Nigerian people. I feel bad for people scamming by people like this. And by no means am I saying scammers only come from one country. All scammers, catfishing, lazy losers come from everywhere. I’m glad the plaintiff won. Defendant is going to scam the wrong person and end up on the First 48, not the people’s court.
The plaintiff comes across as a really decent man who got dragged into a bad situation because he tried to do business with his own people. The defendant on the other hand is obviously a scammer who thinks he's in Nigeria and can get away with it... I wonder how many victims suffered his scams
They are just so used to dealing with people who do not care about things being legal because their usual customers are illegal themselves. As long as they have transportation, who cares who is on the paperwork? The "owner of the account" probably isn't even in the country.
COPART could not care less, as long as they get their money...if they don't, they charge a % of the winning bid that the dealer is responsible for.....and copart will not release titles/paperwork until those fees are caught up. Copart also charges a daily storage fee if the car is not picked up. A dealer will give multiple people their code to bid, and the winner has to pay doc fees to that dealer to process the DMV paperwork. @ $300 a pop, it can get pretty lucrative....
You can go to any auction and buy a car. You don't need no liscense. Where I'm at there's consignment auctions with vehicles all the time and anyone can buy them
The issue here is the defendant was doing it illegally under someone else's account and someone else's legal name. He wasn't legally doing it under his own name.
I like the way the plaintiff answers with, “He’s Nigerian,” as how they know each other, as if everyone from a certain country always knows the other 😂 Hey, fellow Americans, we’re all carpooling to the barbecue this weekend, right?”
The defendant is a moron if he actually thinks that acting as an imposter to use use another person's dealership license is totally legal if he was given permission. He has to have been forging the dealer's signature for every vehicle that he's purchased.
Imagine coming to America, saying in the intro that the plaintiff doesn’t get how America works, goes on to doing shady stuff, gets caught and then say that the American Judge doesn’t know what she’s talking about. 😂
The only reason why he had unclean hands is because he didn't fully understand the DMV process which is why the judge ruled in his favor.. The defendant was the real scammer with the real unclean hands and really did care by the way he answered in the hallway...
The plaintiff’s text messages though. What a professional
He did something illegal, lost the car, has to pay back $4k+, didn’t learn anything and is arrogant AF. Great guy.
I don't think the plaintiff understood anything about forgery. I don't think he purposely signed the other man's name to defraud the system, he just didn't understand what he was supposed to do.
I agree. He thought it was just part of the process so he could get a clean title.
R❤❤❤❤❤❤e weer❤tf re d weer weer rd
I agree
True but I think he did know about the forgery because he said in the text he didn’t want to sign at first

The defendant is a total scammer, and not a very bright one at that.
I'm surprised he didn't claim he was a Nigerian Prince.

This is the Nigerian edition of Who’s on First.

No there’s a book out called, “Nigerian Scammers Handbook”.

That’s why I tell my Husband be careful of his own People 😂

Their text messages sound like literature.
Very different eh. I thought so too.
I legit don't think the plaintiff knew he was forging the signature..glad he won
I hope the plaintiff stays far, far away from the defendant
