People act like they have to keep up with the IG posts of mountains of presents or else their kid will hate them-- the kid's gonna be more upset when you blow 2-3k on their Christmas haul and come January 1 blame them when you don't make rent.
They're gonna hate you more when they're homeless and have nowhere to keep all the junk you got them for Christmas, or lose it all to a storage unit that gets auctioned off when you can't make payments.

Literally the same situation with my mom and sister. She’s two yrs younger than me and my mom will let the family fall apart if it means her baby is happy. It’s so sad for the grandkids of all the siblings, bc they know their grandma chooses to have favorites. She keeps drama going too.

Judge Judy would've dismissed the case saying he was unemployed, she knew he didn't pay his other debt, and therefore had no reasonable expectation to be paid back. It was a bad investment with zero chance of return.
