    1. Use the 90:10 rule. Look for those 10% things that give 90% return on investment of time energy resources.
    2. Never leave dirty dishes "soaking". Leave your kitchen in order and ready to use, clear for your clear state of mind.
    3. Build systems not goals. Your systems make your goals happen. Not just "I hope to invest someday" but save that 10% off the top every time.
    4. Eat for fuel. Be mindful of the impact of each type of item you eat and drink.
    5. Say No to most of the opportunities that come along, preserving your t/e/r for what counts.
    6. Sign up for scary things that move you further toward what you're on. Get registered for a conference, put the money down, get coaching, make use of accountability.

I see well meaning people do this and then people don’t watch the video. It’s great for AFTER watching the video but if people look at the list and go “ oh, now I don’t need to watch it because I get the main point right here”, the creator loses views and watch hours as well as the viewer truly misses the meat of the content. While the listing of the 6 items is helpful as a reminder, he says a lot of important things that are not in this list.

@@TarotTarot1 For me these summaries are very helpful to stay focused during the video because then I know what will come next. If I don't have a summary I would cancel the video. I think I have ADHD or something and I am very thankful when there are these summaries in the comments.

@@TarotTarot1 It is another tool under your belt. I'd say you should:
      ¬Watch the vídeo.
      ¬Take notes and research(if needed)
¬Compare your notes with these summaries.
      Stay sharp and focused 💪😊

Hi Gabe. I'm a woman, and quite a good deal older than you, but I wanted to say that it's encouraging to me to see such a young person with this amount of self awareness. This kind of thinking eventually comes to most people, but typically not until much later in life--when the time to implement the ideas is more limited. From my perspective (at 70) I think, wouldn't it be great if more people could become aware of the fleeting nature of time and realize they won't be young forever? The concepts you've outlined are good for anyone and if realized during YOUNG adulthood, how much better their lives would be. BTW, I've been in the 'don't leave dirty dishes' club for years. Drives me crazy to wake up to a mess in the kitchen!

I was consistently racing the clock to get to work on time, despite waking up 3 hours before hand. I started packing my lunch for work the night before, instead of the morning of, and now I am consistently 10 to 15 minutes early. I feel ahead of the game! It wasn’t until I watched your video that I realized how much this small shift impacted my day. I will now look at other areas of my life that need tweaking. Thank you!!

That’s what I do for the gym. Put my shoes by the door, leave a shaker with pre workout and a bottle bottle on the counter (so I just have to add water), and on the extreme end, I get dressed in clean gym clothes before bed. Wake up at 5-530am, go drink the pre workout, grab the bottle, shoes on by the door and I’m out. Def helped me have a consist gym routine. The easier you make a good habit, the more likely you are to do it.

Committing to something scary is the hardest one for me. As a stay at home mom I don't like the idea of spending extra money on things especially if that thing isn't going to produce income. This keeps me trapped in a cycle of wanting but never doing. Need to find a way to get out the the cycle. GREAT VIDEO!

Corollary to #2: "Don't put it down, put it AWAY". It's easy to set something down just wherever when you are done with it. Take a sec to put it where it belongs. Everything should have a home within your home.

I build systems naturally. I've always had an on-going thrift donations box so our home collects less clutter. When it's full, I take it to donation center I never understood why some people keep everything. This made me realize they have no system established to get rid of unused items.

I was in a long term relationship with someone who had depression. It wasn't the depression that broke us. It was their unwillingness to do anything about it, see a doctor, commit to treatment, even though it was destroying our relationship. Leaving was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But in the end it was the only way I could take care of myself.

One goal that will help everything else fall into place..is getting up earlier at that same time every day. Even if you went to bed late, get up early at that same time..eventually you’ll feel so tired you will naturally go to bed earlier. Tart cherry juice helps you fall asleep earlier if you have insomnia

*Never let one failure from the past hold you back in the future* 👉🏻 *MUST READ FOR YOU*
“As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.
He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. ‘Well,’ trainer said, ‘when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.’
The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.”
    *I LOVE YOU* 💝❤️

My shortcut to this: “should means never”. If I find myself saying “should”, I take that as “never”. Should is just unneeded guilt. Either I must do something, or I want to do it, or it doesn’t get done. If I say something “should” be different, then that’s wasting energy on a fantasy, better spending the energy dealing with reality. Maybe I “should” make a video, LOL.

    ...plus grounding and Sunshine!
We're brain entrained from never turning off or taking a break from all of the overlapping polarized artificial manmade interference frequencies we're drowning in. Guaranteed feeling better and thinking better will happen with just 10 minutes of going barefoot on the earth to reduce free radical accumulation from being constantly exposed to such highly charged environments and devices. The longer the better one feels. And the more you feel clear headed, energized and motivated.

Great video! Also, just one more have it regarding dirty dishes that works for me I too make sure the counter is clean when I go to bed. However, the rule is no dirty dishes in the sink.! Empty the dishwasher first thing in the morning and then keep loading it throughout the day again, no dirty dishes in the sink. I don’t care if that’s counter gets backed up it’s just extra work to have to clean out the sink.

I think of the "me" who will toddle into the kitchen tomorrow am, and I try to be nice to her by leaving no hideous 'soaking' dishes. I refuse to stick my hand into cold dirty water. Nothing needs to soak over 3 min

Interesting you brought up dishes. I used to have a very strict rule of no dishes in the sink. Actually, I would wash them by hand as I went through the day. Recently I’ve comprised on that rule and to your point, yes the house has more laying around. Habit loop!

I've been exercising the "food as fuel" concept with an app called cronometer. It has a really usable free function. I've been entering my food and supplements and making sure I'm getting all the base elements. You will cut low value carbs rather naturally using that, because bread, for example, fills up the calorie counter without giving much in the way of protein or nutrients. As I started plugging in different options to get to 100% of goals met, I made natural shifts in what I'm eating.

@Gabe Bult -Thank you for sharing this! As a creative, ( I'm an Artist ) it's very easy to get overwhelmed with multiple projects. As that's how my brain works. I have dipped my toe into a few of these habits before. Seeing it laid out in this manner is very helpful and encouraging.

For me I like to ‘gamify’ any task. It is a simple technique of reframing a task into something that works with your brain, rather that against it.
Our brains are pattern seeking machines and I love puzzles so I try to play its strengths and at least for me it makes things less stressful.

@@lordomacron3719What exactly does that look like to turn it into a game? Are you just reframing how you think about it, or are you creating rules, scoring, competition, or any other game-related elements?

@@UkeCan1 to give you an example I used to work building trains on the later stage all the visible internal finishing. My approach was reframe the task into solving 3-D puzzles.
All the things you highlighted I have used depending on the nature of the task at hand.
The core of the method is the reframing of a task into something one’s mind finds more interesting to engage with for me it’s creating little games. This way I more readily engage with a task. It does not have to be a game per se that is just what works for my brain.

@@lordomacron3719 Thank you for answering. I need to play with this some more. I'm definitely more easily inclined to play a game than do work, so this is worth some experimentation.
