- Henrik, nicknamed the 'world's grumpiest royal', married Queen Margrethe in 1967, and was later named the Queen's Prince Concort, but the 83-year-old has repeatedly complained of the title. Disappointed that his royal title was never changed to king when his wife became queen in 1972, Henrik has often spoken out about his discontent, which did little to endear him to his subjects. The couple will break with royal tradition by not being buried together in the Roskilde Cathedral. The prince consort nonetheless intends to be buried in Denmark.

It’s because Elizabeth and Margrethe were third cousins, so King Charles is technically hugging his relative

I think influential doesn't have anything to do with it. In that time, she is in a higher ranking place than Charles as she was the queen and he was the heir to the throne.
