Great video !!! However, I know the government has moved away from the DUNS system but you still need to be registered with DUN and Bradstreet and have a DUN's number to get past the entity validation process. They use DUNS data to register your entity and verify you have a legit business along with a business address. They also are going to start using FINCEN CTA data to make sure the owners are who they say they are. Once you list your home address the government is going to want to see a lease if it's NOT physical office space. This also could take weeks to get done as they are very very SLOW.

@@FedAccess started my LLC as a mobile notary so I didn’t won’t my home address listed as my business address. My corporate address is a virtual office my question is since the IRS has my corporate address listed as the business address should I use that address on Sam.gov. My business entity does show up on Sam.gov with my corporate address listed do I change the address to reflect my home address since everyone says not to use a virtual address?

hi ma'am thank you for this video, while filling out the registration I selected the option of EIN than TIN Because that's what I have from Irs. But Sam is trying to validate my irs information using TIN and that came back as fail. I wanna know if I wasn't supposed to use EIN number?

Follow the steps in the video to register for contracts. You'll also be able to apply for grants.

It won't allow you to submit your registration until you've gone through every page. I recommend walking through each page in order, be sure to hit save and continue on the bottom of each page, and at the end, you'll be able to Submit your registration.
Has anyone run into this when applying for grants. Required to Fill out SF-LLL form, which is about 'declaring lobbying, but I'm not a lobbyist. I'm Simply applying for a government grant.

Re your second question, I wish we could apply once and get whichever certifications we qualify for, but unfortunately, that's not how the government works. We do have to apply separately for the 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, and WOSB certifications.

The IRS letter with your EIN is a great document to upload. It's not a required document, but it is a great document to submit.
confused. the last video from 9 mos ago went through the entire process including points of contact to submit your reg. this one stops short. Are there any other changes?
They changed the questions at the beginning of the process, and lots of people asked me to remake the video to show how to answer those new questions. After you get your UEI, please go back into SAM to complete the remainder of your registration, including Reps & Certs, Points of Contact, NAICS Codes, etc. That stuff is the same as before. I posted a new stand-alone video to help people answer the NAICS code question in the registration. If you have questions about other pieces of it, let me know.
At the 6:03 mark in the video: if my business is listed in the legal entities list and all information is correct, what is the next step after they issue the UEI (it was given shortly after I completed the "I recognize my entity in the list). I also received an email with the UEI. Also, when and how do I go back to complete CORE DATA, POINTS OF CONTACT, ASSERTIONS & REPRESENTATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS?
Try this: go to your Entity Workspace where you see your entity listed. Over on the right is a three-dot Action menu. Click on the three dots to open the menu, and then click on Update.
Is there a part 2 to this to finish the process when you have to come back to Sam.gov after validation?
Have to revise address , but will not allow. Registered accidentally as a PO Box but uploaded bank statement with home address. Does not appear to be any other way but to delete and restart?
You could contact the Help Desk at FSD.gov and ask them how to proceed. Depending on exactly where you are in the process, they may tell you to restart.

Our SAM Registration is inactive since December 19, 2023. tried several times to renew but fail to do so as entity validation completed with wrong physical address which doesn't match with NCAGE Code.can you pls help us?
I would contact the Federal Service Desk at fsd.gov. They are the help desk for SAM registration issues.

If i selected “myself” as the option for “who required your entity to be in Sam.gov?” Does that mean i messed up and I now have to redo my registration? Is it even possible to update a registered entity?
You're probably fine, did it allow you to complete the registration?
If you completed your registration and your registration is Active, you're good to go!

@@FedAccess thank you! I am still in the process. It did allow me to submit but I was rejected due to accidentally registering my entity as a US Government Agency and I do not know how to fix it. The drop down box is greyed out for me to make the adjustment. I am quite confused

Most of the contract requires a large amount of money ahead or they already have the "old sellers ". It is hard for new businesses to get in.
I'm outside the US but I;m American (from Pensacola, FL) and I'm having a hellofatime getting the NCAGE app filled out. For example the CVP codes are 8 digits but it says it's 10 digits... what do I do?! lol!
When applying for SBIR grant one of the requirement is to register with SAM.gov. In this case, I am not bidding for a Fed contract with the Fed but applying for a grant from the Fed. Are the steps for registration the grant application purpose are the same as bidding for a Fed contract as described in this video?
At some point in the registration process, they will ask you what you are trying to do. If you are certain that you will not be applying for contracts, then you can check the box for applying for grants. Either way, you start out the same, to get your business registered in SAM. PS: I've had lots of SBIRs and some are grants and some are contracts!

Hello, I have a complaint as below:
- The steps instructed by FSD, but after being implemented in the sam.gov system cannot be realized, because in the sam.gov system you have to enter the documents again.
- When we followed up by re-entering the document, it turned out that we got a new incident number, and our data which previously had an accepted status instead had a rejected status.
- We have followed all the stages and times of the registration process in the sam.gov system according to the instructions in the sam.gov system for 4 months and there have been no results.
