Great interview, Jude. Keith revealed a lot there, without getting himself into trouble, but you obviously made him comfortable enough to speak openly.
Top work Jude! Great interview. It sounds like Keith deserves a fair amount of credit for managing to keep a damaged ship away from the rocks in a storm. Well done to him as well.
Thanks very much great interview, Agree with the points made about Steve Bruce he did a lot for Villa in taking us up from the nose dive we were on before he came to the club, nice that Keith mentioned Kodjia, Chester, Johnston, Adomah + Hourihane all players that will always be remembered fondly for their contribution to the club
First video I've watched after being drawn in by Keith's thoughts around the Dr Tony Xia tenure. Thought it was very insightful and you certainly know your stuff. Good watch bud :)
Good to hear some of these comments coming From Kieth who is talking like a Villa Fan! Glad we never got promoted that season v Fulham as Xia would have pocketed all the money himself, even though, it broke my heart, It took me 20 minutes to get up off the steps of Wembley! Xia was a waste of time and could have destroyed us.
Good interview. Your questions led to lots of interesting answers and talking points and you could tell you'd done your research on My Wyness beforehand. Enjoyed hearing his thoughts on the differences between running a 'normal' business compared to a football club. Loved playing as Villa back in the old Championship Manager days in the 90s. Had some cracking players (irl and in the game) back then - Dalian Atkinson, Townsend, Alan Wright, Julian Joachim, Hadji, Lee Hendrie, etc. Shame about Nii Lamptey. Had high hopes for him after his exploits in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Good man brucey. Did a decent job given circumstances. Didn't end well but in an odd way that was for the best as look at us now! Tony's era was obviously a strange time ownership wise but so happy with the new owners!!!!!!! Like night and day.
Fascinating insight into a difficult time. Can’t imagine working under a regime like that and can only say thank you to Keith and Steve Bruce for their best endeavours.
Great interview and a good insight into Villa at that time. Can't believe Xia was trying to sub two players at half time......from China! Also, I NEED to know what happened with McCormack!
One of the first things Xia said was he wanted to be European champions in 5 years. Made us a laughing stock. NSWE give me a better vibe. I'm starting to believe we can now compete for Euro places. One step at a time lads
This interview has changed my thoughts on Keith. I guess he was made the scape goat and I think his sueing of the club came at the wrong time given villas financial difficulties. Never liked Xia, he was nieve and immature with his tweet codes. A dark time for the club, hopefully we won't be in that place again
I’m glad we never went up against Fulham, we’d be stuck with Xia still so was a god send as now we have these amazing owners. Will always like Bruce, such a Grandad type though just didn’t work out
The Ross mac one is odd as he had played a lot of games and scored goals prior to coming to villa. If he was a such a headache why didn't the club do due diligence on his character which is common in big money deals? Something doesnt add up. Perhaps something was going on in Ross's personal life?
You'll probably think I'm crazy BUT....everytime I watched us during that period he was playing with Kodjia..countless times Ross got into good scoring positions and Kodbia being Kodjia would just hold onto the ball and I could see McCormacks visible frustration so many times I lost count...I honestly think he just got to a "I can't be arsed with this shit" point and it spiraled from there, coupled with his own demonstration or whatever the hell was going on
@@Skibbitypappappa definitely didn't feel there was an ethos and defined system just buy players who have performed at that level and shoe horn them in. Now we actually have a more defined style and type of player we look to recruit etc. Thank god for new owners and Dean etc. Could be so different.
Hi thank-you for watching the video. I have cerebral palsy and have a complicated condition at the moment which means I’m bed bound. That won’t stop me from doing what I love though. Thanks for your support 👍.

Not surprised at all to hear about Xia’s chaotic leadership. We are so lucky to be where we are now. Thank god for NSWE
Christian Purslow too!
@@EmeryBall He's a great frontman and the way he speaks gives me confidence, but it's NWSE who have saved us, no doubt about it

A very good interview. Fair play to Keith for coming out and sharing his insight.
Exceptional. Well done. Many thanks, this shed a lot of light
Great interview and interesting insight, like Keith said would be good one day for all the details to come out but this was decent #utv

McCormack's NOT on fire, your defence's NOT terrified))
Nice interview. Would have been interested to know how NSWE identified Villa and their dealings with Wyness.

Nice one Jude. Subscribed 👍
Wyness isn’t someone you want at your club either, Everton fans can probably back me up there

I'm glad I watched that, a genuine guy who has villa in his heart obviously

Sounds like Xia was a right shister, so glad we have the current owners. They are a breath of fresh air after Doug, Lerner and Xia!
