I honestly think Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most under-rated and unrecognized footballers for his genius. This guy was truly phenomenal. Now I get to know the man apart from the footballer and I have nothing but adoration for you bro. You really do have a great sense of humor to compliment that bad boy image on the field. Great interview Piers Morgan. We now know Zlatan and appreciate him even more than we did before. He was truly a legendary footballer.
from this interview you can really see how intelligent zlatan is, he's not just one of the greatest footballers of all time. he's a role model for EVERYONE.
Morality, honesty, pride, personality, respect, education, strength; when these words actually ment something. A real character, a good man with a big talent, a bit rough around the edges. Love it.
I cannot express how much I love this man! He is so inspirational for anyone who did not grow up with a silver spoon in their mouth. He shows you how successful you can be through hard work and determination.
Loved this talk. Good atmosphere, no provocations, friendly...Pears was very well prepared, respectful and sicerely fascinated by Zlatan. Zlatan was serious, very respectful as well and he said some important stuff.
Dear Zlatan Ibrahimovic, you are a really big hearted honest man. Thanks to you Mr. Piers Morgan for this great interview in which we learn more about Zlatan.
How do you call a good looking woman in London? 😮 Russian 😅 Could you imagine Pierce talking to an African American athlete about his "tough looks"? #stereotyping #biases #racism
interestingly, he doesn't have swedish accent although he's swedish native speaker. his SHB language skills level are poor and still he speaks not as a russian but as SHB person and yes there is a subtle difference trust me.
I have to say I'm very impressed with Piers Morgan in this interview. His research preparation, active listening technique, putting the interviewee at ease and letting them talk, bringing up personal matters in a sensitive way. Everything done professionally and in an excellent manner. So very different than his usual histrionics. There's a decent journalist in there when he wants to be a decent person.
I was too. He doesn't ask questions to offend anyone, even though so many people think he does so. When he was asking about Elena (if I got the spelling right), there were sensitive questions but reasonable ones.
I live in Zlatans old apartment complex, I''ve NEVER had a bad experience with him, we still text from time to time, he may seem arrogant online but he"s one of the nicest people u could ever meet and he"s done a lot for our community!
Sweden has alot of problems with gangs currently. Alot of the cities are run by the gangs and police can't do much. Malmö is a great example of this and there are alot of gangs there and it can be dangerous there. If you don't get involved with a gang it's not that dangerous. But there is still car theft and stealing.@@seferino
The best interview ever! Many people can relate to his situation worldwide. His road to success has been tough, but he has managed to stay in some way modest and toatally understands the situation of small and simple man....familis that struggle on daily basis.. . Great man!!
This was such a deep, honest and respectful interview. Thanks for you both. Self awareness is a very hard skill and I think that Zlatan is a role model for it.
This was insanely good. He is one of the best to ever do it, there is no debate to be had there, the numbers and moments he produced are there to kill any argument. It's refreshing to see he tries to keep strong morals for his kids and it's tough sometimes to be happy for other people who find wealth when the real world is so tough for most of us but I find myself happy that Ibrahimovic has finished his career wealthy and happy. Fair play and all the best.
Watching Ibrahimovic play was something else.. As an American, I was lucky to see him play twice for LA Galaxy and he got a hat trick both times! He was such a dominant force, completely unstoppable…
They will always talk about how good Messi Maradonna Ronaldo was but they will always remember who Ibrahimovic was. What a legend this man is. Football will miss him.
Nothing but a massive respect for Ibrahimovic. The way he talks about his beginnings and how he toughened is pure inspiration. Also a very honest and straightforward human beign, with right attitude towards life. By the way, putting his personality aside, as a footballer he did unbeliavable things and was definitelly one of the best strikers over the last decade or two. Big man Ibra!
I'm from Balkan (Croatia) and my mother also hit me with a stick when I was a kid, I always tought it was completely normal. He said it right it's different mentality. I had 4 brothers and sister and it was the same thing. We were wild and it was her way to discipline us. You can see the difference when someone wants to hurt a child, this is different.
Exactly. I am Bosnian, and my mother would beat me for things I would do (steal fruit from my neighbor, get into a fight with my peers, run away to play football when I had homework to complete, get a low grade in school, etc). Now, I am 33 years old, and I thank her for that. 😊
You can feel the balkan spirit coming from him, especially the family part as we all from ex Yugoslavia can relate. He is such a nice guy. Confidence is like a muscle. You practice it, you work for it. He damn well worked on it and is aware of his qualities. Bravo Zlatane!!! Amazing
And my mother worked for years together with Zlatans Croatian Mum in South Germany , there were even friends... Then she moved to Sweden, meet his father there and the rest is history
for the rest of the world he may look like egoist, but we in Balkan, especially in Bosnia understand him completely. What Zlatan went through growing up, most Bosnian boys did also, because that is just how we are. What a legend! Too bad he couldn't represent Bosnia on national level, because of our corrupt system even in national team. GO ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIĆ!
Im sure he could have represented country of birth if truly wanted it. Nothing about corruption. Maybe he felt duty it was necessary to represent the country that gave him safety and home.
@@matthewmatthew9485Nah actually, Bosnia wanted to make him do trials. He said the same thing as with Arsenal - Zlatan doesn't do trials. Unfortunately some of the managers further insulted him by saying to Zlatan's father - "we have players like your son in abundance." What fools they were. Anyway, the former Yugoslavia was Zlatan's first choice.
I've always admired Zlatan's attitude and mindset. I love his self-confidence and his belief in himself, which has always been backed up by very high standards of hard work. He absolutely deserves to retire at a high with utmost dignity. As a football passionate and podcaster, it's my dream to interview him one day in my show. ❤️ Zlatan if you're reading this, know that you have a crazy Iranian fan living in Italy!
Zlatan's response to the discipline question was great. Expertly threw Morgan's attempt to judge his mum's approach back. He appreciates the conditions and the necessity for such an approach. He appreciates the effect of such experience on his successes. He also appreciates the fact that not everyone would accept such disciplinary approach.
No bs, no false modesty, no empty ego, only the straight, unvarnished truth I LOVE this guy,, simply because he knows who he is and loves himself honestly (which is way different from honestly loving himself).
Zlatan... there are no words that have been invented to do justice to this man... The player, the personality, the human all the "Zlatan was not.... .... was by Zlatan" sayings... Unique, unrepeatable, unconventional... Football is a poorer sport without him.
Zlatan Ibrahimovič once said 1. "Lions don't compare themselves with humans" 2. "I don't follow football Football is following me 3." I came as a king and left as a legend" 4. "If i had to choose between Lingard OR Jones, I will happily choose OR" 5. "My career didn't need coaches to be successful instead coaches need me to make their careers to succeed and their dreams come true" 6. Journalist : How do you feel after scoring that goal? Zlatan : Ask the goal how it felt to be scored by me 7. "I don't control the ball but the ball control itself for me" 8. "When I look myself in the mirror there's no reflection of myself because there can't be two Zlatan" 9. Reporter : Zlatan you consider yourself as a Lion while Messi and Ronaldo are humans but they have many Ballon'dors but you don't have it why? Zlatan : I don't care about individual trophies , if I wanted them I would've played golf 10. "When he was leaving his home he told his father that " you're now the man of the house" 11. "If you invite me to your house , you're my guest " 12. "I use my two legs to play football but i use my whole body to score a goal" 13. "When Zlatan is late for training , players get punished for being early"
I've always loved the man. Most people I know don't but this interview solidifies why I do. So genuine, walks the talk, no grudge against Pep, a look into his relationship with his parents, red Ferrari story, That England goal and the trash talk to poor Welbeck lol. Man, didn't even realize the interview was that long. Good job Piers. And I hope Zlatan gives us more stories to explain the myth n legend.

He was truly a legendary footballer.
that was a bit too much of an intimate moment for me
from this interview you can really see how intelligent zlatan is, he's not just one of the greatest footballers of all time. he's a role model for EVERYONE.
He might be a role model, but he's defenitely not one of the greatest players of all time.

I had 4 brothers and sister and it was the same thing. We were wild and it was her way to discipline us. You can see the difference when someone wants to hurt a child, this is different.
It could have been useful to me as a child too.
Exactly. I am Bosnian, and my mother would beat me for things I would do (steal fruit from my neighbor, get into a fight with my peers, run away to play football when I had homework to complete, get a low grade in school, etc).

Just want I wanted to say. I am a Bosnian and can relate to the things he would say about his father. It's the Balkan/ex-Yugoslav mentality.
And my mother worked for years together with Zlatans Croatian Mum in South Germany , there were even friends...

Zlatan's response to the discipline question was great. Expertly threw Morgan's attempt to judge his mum's approach back. He appreciates the conditions and the necessity for such an approach.
