My mates surname is dorrian we all used to slag him about it long before this film came out. Loads of us were in his house stoned watching this when it first came out, you can imagine the laughter when the dorrian scene came on
Ironically, despite it's reputation, it is still the only film in this genre that actually questions what is the point of it all... All the other attempts (green St etc) glorify violence, this is the only one to make it seem pointless
And it's actually the most brutal and real, green street is worth a watch as a Hollywood production but it's so unrealistic, no firm would just let some American geek in like that, its not a bad film though.
100% 👏🏻 agree. Although i think its about people who choose the wrong life style will end up in a bad way. And its hard to get away from. I’ve seen several thousand films, and Billy is up there with the scariest cinematic psychos ever. I’ve known several geezers like him at the pub. Terrifying. He’d die not caring just to fuck you up.

@@thunderous-one True romance One of the best for me too I can see Frank standing in for James gandolfini in that scene taking a corkscrew to the foot by Patricia arquette
When Billy Bright is pretending to threaten Zebedee, an even scarier thought is what would have happened if Zeb had decided to finally stand up for himself and offer to take Billy outside. I imagine Billy would not have revealed the "joke" and would have proceeded to kick his head in for real.
@@Phoenix1664 the message is completely different from Goodfellas, where there is a very real risk of death for the characters involved. This movie is about the futility of football fans fighting just to fight and taking the piss out of them for it.

This movie is most definitely a fucking CLASSIC to me! / From a Swede who has a slight obsession for "everything UK". The Cockney dialects is like music to my ears. Except for Jungle/dnb ofc. Rockstar should make a game on this movie... like they did with The Warriors, smaller studio/dev team, smaller game etc but DAMN it's sooo good! If you had seen the movie, just the intro blew me away! Gameplay was fun as hell, going around in a gang just looking for streetfights, store looting, police mashing (and their cars) and mainly kicking the living shit out of gangs, topped with those extra "gory details" only Rockstar can do.. All to one of the best soundtracks out there.. Graphic as hell, even on the ps2, in co-op was so damn fun too haha. And yes, if near a curb you could curbstomp mfks! Can't think of one game that even comes close to what kinda game The Warriors is. "Semi-open-world-third-person-fighting-game-based-on-a-awesome-movie"? Hahah, idk im baked, sorry. But imagine if they let one of their smaller studios work on a game like that, only based on Football Factory, which is even their own movie! Reckon they could get all the actors etc to voice act/method act for some typical, epic, Rockstar-cutscene-magic! And the fighting... The amount of hooligans who could clash on screen at the same time for example... along with todays graphics, aw maan... Fighting other firms online etc could keep that game relevant for a long time I reckon at least! Rockstar, please hear my idea! Alot of managing elements, reputation should be way more worth than money, football teams would all have funny ass Rockstar-spoof names of real, existing ones just like the cars in the GTA Series.
