- ~SPOILERS~ This is the final confrontation of Darth Thanaton and the ending of Act 3 of the Sith Inquisitor. This is played by the perspective of a Light Side Sith ending with neutral choices.
Note: There are only minor differences compared to the Dark Side ending. We simply get a different name from Darth Marr, and we decide to honor the deal with the ghosts. The male Inquisitor is voiced by Euan Morton.

It bothers me that Bioware never let us attend even one Dark Council meeting... I wanted to take part in important Imperial decision making...
The problem is that there's no class-specific content or material following the main questlines. The Inquisitor should have been given quests that involved employing his faction to obtain certain Force knowledge/artifacts and interacting with the council. The Warrior should have been given specific quest chains to hunt down and eliminate various targets for the Emperor and Empire. So on and so on.
They probably didn't take this route because it would require like 8x the resources but still. I really, reeeeaaaalllly hope that they start doing this with the next big expansion

@@seb6226 I believe they plan on doing something special, I'm just not certain what. If they bring back class-specific storylines, it'll probably be within the context of the Emperor returning since hes supposed to still be a threat or some shit

@@justinlacek1481 Yeah, I gotta say, I didn't see much reason to stick around after completing the main storyline. It doesn't really *feel* like you're a member of the Dark Council, because hardly anything has changed for you. You don't actually participate in the governance of the Dark Council at all.
I love how the Inquisitor looks like an emotionless average Joe.

Wow. From those cutscenes I see that Thanaton was more powerful than most give him credit for. The other council members don't like him being there isn't because he's weak, but because of his old way of thinking.
Thanaton said "you shall all answer for it...", does he really expect to take on the Dark Council? Most of them could beat his ass by themselves.

Thanaton used not only powerfull sith tricks (remember that the first time he directly atacked the Inquisitor before he got force walking power it was just too easy) but also political manuevers, he would claim that the Dark Council members that did not suport him and uphold the "Laws" of the empire that they were corrupt too like Zash.
MrFantocan Thanaton's power is nothing compared to the veteran members of the Council.
Goddamn, forced to bow down before his mortal enemy in front of the whole dark council . . . and then there's that music.

Yeah, but the lack of any emotion whatsoever on every ones faces just ruin it.
I've always been jealous of how Inquisitors are rewarded with a "Darth" title at the end of their class story while Warriors are stuck with "The Emperor's Wrath", a title that's not only too long but ends up completely meaningless because of the Emperor's betrayal
I mean technically the Council obey the Wrath and he answer only to the Emperor himself. So, technically he out rank them.

I played Light Sith and at the end I had my guy say that he was the future
I was neutral and I got Imperius.
When Thanaton summons the vortex of lightning, I'm like: "POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!" And then, when the hero emerges from it unharmed, I go: "OMG! INVINCIBILITY!"
played this earlier and thought this was one of the best story endings I had ever played... and in an MMO... Bioware did a great job.
Unlike most people, I feel that to bring out the pain in enemies, you don't kill them. That's why I let Harkun live-so he can bear the pain of watching the one Sith Acolytre he despised the most, rise to the rank of a Darth, and a Dark Council member.
OOOHHHHH NOOOOOO, killing Harkun was just too much pleasure to let pass, I remembered every time he called me slave and said his pet Ffon was true sith, the only bad thing was that I could not torture him more and see him squeeel, and the bad thing about killing him was only being able to do it once.
And ofc he did to Xalek the same he did to me, that prejuditial bitch, he is the reason the sith wont get more powerfull, his atachment to old stupid ways, if he was cool like Tremel I would let him live, even if Tremel also had prejudies against aliens he treated me much nicer, I felt sorry to have to kill him, but his bitch daughter was a pleasure to dispose of.

Hence, the reason I said to let him live to live with at least one more defeat. Let him bear the pain of seeing the Inquisitor's rise to power. Death _isn't_ the worst thing that can happen to someone.

Ignorant...peace is temporary, so is fear as fear gives power but for only limited time. I am no jedi but you are no true Sith either...just another fanatic believes that what he says is pure truth.
I am not Sith, because they are blind to power only, and their power will sooner or later consume them, nor Jedi as they are afraid of truth, and lie to hide it.
Any Sith Lord loyal to the Empire would tear you to pieces, as LS actions with the Empire ACTUALLY BENEFITS IT. Term Lightside and Dark Side is "over-reacted" in TOR. DS actions just bring Death, sometimes benefits Empire, sometimes not. LS does benefits even more than DS sometimes, sometimes just not. But sticking to one thing fanaticly is just foolish, you would end with crippling the Empire, not aiding it...

For those of you wondering what that set of armor is. It is the renowned assassins set of armor, only way to acquire it is if you make it to Taris and if you choose to be a sith assassin of course.

sith inquisitor storyline is the best for the empire , the wrath is just a figurehead , the council rules the empire so if you want the highest position in the game there you go

This music is prefect for the scene, a Dark Council member being defeated by an apprentice. Imagine a powerful sith who believes he has great power, then forced to bow before the apprentice who defeated him because his power was far greater than yours, and you then see your entire world crumble before you.... truly awesome for the scene
This ending is one of the best.

I was Light V. However, since I made two dark choices in my class story.. I wasn't given Darth Occulus. (I slept with Rylee, and I killed the Sith who hunted my apprentices on Quesh)

Most people choose to kill him, but I for one find it more satisfying to watch him become the one to take orders after the way he treats the player (along with the former slave acolytes) in the prologue. I really think he ought to appear in the story again if you choose to let him live, as I would love to see how he thinks of the Sith Inquisitor as a Darth.
KommissarReb I think I must have killed him, and if my memory serves me correctly, it was extremely satisfying, I also loved pulling rank on him as well after watch Xalek kill the other guy
I wish the scene was replayable as I loved watching my assassin dominate Thanaton.
@Xaydam Thanaton, despite what your inquisitor witnessed, was one of the greatest council members at the time. Mortis saying "I'm sorry, Thanaton" was more based on respect than regret. Like Marr stated after Ravage spat out good riddance, "He was a better Sith than you gave him credit for."
The piece starting at 2.39 is Jedi's Fury, from RotJ. It was played during the scene where Luke loses his shit if I remember right.

@admuamboy I don't recall that ending. I suppose it could have happened if I choose the first option in the ending ghost convo instead of the middle option. I chose to release them without question.
@Lordvarbaro You might be missing key details as to why the inquisitor had to absorb ghosts in the first place. Thanaton was one of few Sith Lords that delved into risky rituals. Because of this, his force defenses were unquestionable.
The Inquisitor needed something strong enough to combat his ritualistic energy. Once Thanaton was defeated, the ghosts were just extra baggage. Ravage, Marr, and many other council members are warriors.. who don't delve into such energy.

I don't know the name, but it's the same played during Qui-Gon's funeral, and it was the theme music for the planet Lok in SWG.
@N0van3 as far as I know the beginning is from "The Final Duel/Into the Death Star" (a theme heard during the final battle between Luke and Vader during Episode 6)... from 3:08 it seems to be another theme
("The Final Duel/Into the Death Star" is 3:40 long... it's possible that the whole song is from that theme but FOX has the rights to it and I can't find a free version)
That was like 8 different songs from the movies strung together for one scene o_O

The light option at the end is not to simply end the bond between the ghosts, but to also "free" them, allowing them to actually die and become one with the Force.

@AurkiaStar It's actually a whole 6 piece set (head,chest,legs,gloves,boots,saber). They're the moddable item rewards of the Taris Heroics.
I like that Horak-Mul remained. Its... interesting to be followed by Force Ghost from time of Great Hyperspace War.

The choice of music in these cinematics freeze my blood. It sets the scene that is Darth Thanaton's fall.
As shown in the description, it does not say that his Sith was a neural, he said he ended with neutral choices. He said this was played in the perspective of a Light Side Sith.
@RaneStari Based on the linearity of the story, I didn't get to release ALL the ghosts. The most powerful one, the Hoth ghost, decided to stay with me.
My favorite character type played it more than the others combined. Favorite is to take the ghosts by force, play mostly light side, and refuse to let the ghosts free at the end. No need to let go of all that power and leave you being unable to die to one ghost choosing to stick around for as long as it may choose to do so.

Seems that being Imperius is the neutral option according to what I've heard. Fully lightside at the time of victory get's you, Darth Occulus, I think.

***** The lower level planets are crowded as hell. Once you get to someplace like Taris, you've got about 30 people only.
@Influx27 How was I an ass? We had an agreement. I let them go once my enemy was defeated. I kept my word. Yes, I could have showed curiosity to their situations, but that wasn't part of the deal. You went above and beyond. That's the beauty of choice making in this game. But last I checked, I didn't get dark side points.

@NodDisciple1 It's currently a bug. Based on the SW:TOR official forums, someone posted a response by customer service stating that Light Siders should have receieved Occulus. I was one of the many who got Imperius.. with Light V.
The thing about these videos is it is SO weird to hear that voice coming out of any face except mine. Just weird, lol.
Also you gotta love the Dark Council's reaction to all this, like its nothing more than a live show for them to enjoy.

This video is mislabeled as Neutral, but the title received is that of the Light Side ending. There is, in fact, a true neutral ending. I know this because I got it; "Darth Occlus."

I was not aware that we'd get a different name other than Nox, but then again, I always play as a complete dark side character as Sith Inquisitor. It just feels fitting.

+deva ston I actually really like the consulars story, plus his mechanics and move pool have worked the best for me so far besides the sith inquisitor which is the same and I'm just slightly worse with because I didn't play correctly for the attribute I picked (tank assassin) so I chose one of the damage ones for the consular and I only died at the beginning and once during some really bad lag. I can't wait to get to a high enough level and get geared for pvp with him. The only story I actually havent seen is the troopers and everyone I've seen has been great in my opinion. I seriously wish I would've played this game when it came out not 4 years later haha.
Ch1 was good. Everything after was absolute crap imo
the title at the end is based upon alignment, not convo choices during the ending. So majority light = imperius, balanced = occulus, dark = nox.
@NodDisciple1 Double bladed lightsabers have one color crystal option. It is not possible to have a multi-colored staff saber in SW:TOR.
Lol okay. It's the Taris Heroic quest set. Do them all and you collect all the pieces, including a nifty lightsaber that matches the attire. It's also the same as the High Sorcerer's Adept set that Synth's can make.
Seeing this makes me think, if this is how powerful sith were before the rule of 2, gotta wonder how powerful rule of 2 era sith actually were
chase1146 as most of the sith knowledge from old republic and sith empire era was lost, they werent really more powerful in rule of two. Its just that their expertise was different. In rule of two sith were better at deception and manipulation whereas old republic era sith is better at combat. They were also constantly challenged by both fellow sith and jedi and also different enemies as it was constant war.

I actually didn't know what'd happen. It was between the top and middle options for me. The middle would let me keep my word. The top option was a question. I chose the middle choice and all but one ghost left. I kept my word, while also maintaining the most powerful of the 4 ghosts (by his own free will).
Yes, the light choice gets rid of all the ghosts, but leaves you very weak to other Council members. At least you have the Hoth ghost as one fallback booster.
@tigasnake Since you put it that way it just strikes me as strange to see a sith apologize to another. Never the less keep up the good work on your videos. Do you by any chance plan on doing another romance video?

Unlike Jaesa, who goes mad when turned to the darkside, Ashara gracefully overcomes her cognitive dissonance and gains a neutral stance on the force if you say the right things. She'll accidentally quote the Sith Code when arguing with you, and then seem to not mind the fact that she finds wisdom in it suddenly.
To me, Ashara seems to see the main character as her new master, despite the difference in training.
Pycasne Eesost Of course she does, Nox is the only one who can seem to understand her. It feels like she's stubborn and idolises the jedi a lot more than she maybe should. However with Nox she starts to see the profits in the Dark side, and I think that when you romance her you slowly seduce her into falling.
In Kotfe I believe she's created her own little orde of gray jedi, or maybe she's even acsended into a lord, flying into a rage after hearing of your death and fully gives in to the Dark side.
God is this going to be interesting to see in-game
Is Darth Imperious the name you get from doing the light side version of the story cause I got Darth Nox.
I will be changing the title of this video to Neutral Ending. I was given Darth Imperius, and also dismissed the ghosts bound to me, instead of attempting figure out what kept them from true death. I apologize to those misled, but my character was Light Side, and these are the options I chose. The "dismissal" choice to the ghosts seemed like the most recognizable Light choice, allowing yourself to honor the agreement. Apparently I was wrong. *shrug*
@tigasnake K. XS Does the color actually affect performance? I'd like to stick w/ traditional Sith red or at least a dark purple (since orange is pre-order only I think XP), for as long as possible.

Hey, look, I just need to know: how do outfits and appearances work in this game?
For example: do alignments restrict what outfits you can wear (IE: can LS people only wear blue and DS people black+red) Because I wouldn't mind getting to look like one of the Sith NPCs in the game (Darth Jadus comes to mind)

It is one of Darth Thanaton's former apprentices. You spare him on Corellia if you're Light-Side.
@RekkageGaming As far as I know, "Nox" is the Roman translation of Nyx, the "deity of the night" from Greek mythology...Personally, I'd think "Darth Erebus" would be a better name for a True Master of the Dark Side.
"Imperius" might be an intentional misspelling of Imperious, meaning "domineering, dictatorial, or overbearing"
"Oculus" is Latin for "Eye", In Roman architecture (particularly the Pantheon dome in Rome) the Oculus allows light to enter the temple of the gods & goddesses.
@tigasnake What kinds of diplomatic missions did you send your companions on? How the situation was solved (and the Dark or Light Side Points earned) may have had some effect...
How many of the Sith Flashpoints in the story did you choose Dark Side options in?
@OllieRamone Can you post screenshots or a video? Because I have done all light side options... As you see in this video, I was given Darth Imperius. There'd be uproar by dark siders if they found out that Light side got two possible names, and they only got one.
Is it possible to make all ghost leave? I've recently made an inquisitor and I don't want her to have a ghost permanently in her life.
