Fun Fact: That's how Billy the Kid got out of jail twice. He was slim enough to pretty much walk through the space between the bars.

+Daniel Ryan It simplify it, it means that love by itself isn't evil that the Jedi and Sith make it out to be. Example would be in episode 6 were the emperor is shocking Luke and Vader's love for his son redeems him and compels him to destroy the emperor. Another would be Revan's love for Bastila freed her from the dark side in KOTOR. Love didn't cause Anakin to turn to the dark side, his fear of losing padme corrupted him, it costed him nearly everything, the jedi, his mentor and friend Obi-Wan, padme, and almost his own kids.

It's to be unattached from people. Imagine if the one you love was kill by someone right in front of your eyes. This would trigger the rage in the Jedi and lead to the use of the darkside.
Except they have several notable cases where Sith were redeemed by love *cough* Revan *cough*, and another case where banning love led Anakin to look to other groups for help, which had shall we say negative consequences. Just because they ban love and marriage doesn't mean Jedi won't love, it's human nature, and if Anakin was allowed to openly love Padme he could have gone to them for help instead of Palpatine, and the Empire would never have come into being.
@@Quillever the jedi were foolish and so afraid of doing anything that would even remotely lead to the dark side that they banned being attached to people and love. Which lead to the unfortunate side effect of generations of cold emotionless jedi that were a shell of what they used to be when they were created thousands of years ago. It was only a matter of time before they fell.
Better to have love and lost than never to have loved at all.

It was shown in the Clone Wars. A clone trooper deserted, and had a family with a Twi'lek, so them having their own children is possible.
Rathorage while it is possible for a twi’lek and a human to sire a child, the ones in the show were already born when she married the clone. He’s their adopted father. Clones can’t have kids

I think there's another dialogue where you chose to spare Baras' men in Belsavis(?) (not sure where) and then she says something along the lines of
"You've gotten soft."

Rather during the Belsavis missions there is a Jedi you've allied yourself with to stop Baras from getting his sister out of Belsavis, and at the end of it you have 3 options, Leave as friends, walk away but be enemies (light side 100 or 50) or the dark side option to kill them
the dialogue from Vette you're quoting is from the light side options I just listed. though me personally I always take Jeasa on those missions because the Jedi in question has some fun dialogue that harkens back to chapter 1 as he was a former apprentice of Nomen Karr

O_O. Why is everyone in this game related? Elara Dorne's dad is the agent subclass mission giver, Vette's old boss is the father of Risha, the smugglers companion. It's nice the game references itself like that

Doc, Jedi Knight companion, knows Agent companion Kaliyo Djannis and not sure but in that companion quest line find out Nemro gets killed not sure if by Bounty Hunter
The bounty hunter companion Mako apparently also knew the jedi consular companion Qyzen Fess. She owed him a favor from a time the two were together.

It was his fear of living without her that caused his nightmares. It was LOVE that saved Vader, because LOVE led him to sacrifice his own life in order to protect his son... that completely selfless act is what redeemed him.
ConnellxSilverfur if it wasn't for Padme in the first place he would have never become Vader, so it really was his love for Padme that turned him.

I guess it's because if we love someone, we are easily blinded by feelings. Also suddenly lives start having different values, which may be distracting during important decisions.
And that's why I would be sith
It’s not about Love specifically but Attachments are forbidden. The point is to not allow your feelings to cloud your judgement (this can apply to Sith with their passions as well).
If someone is in love with somebody else in danger while having the option to save a group, then that person may hesitate or make the wrong move (and there may or may not be one in every situation).
For a Jedi, it risks what they try to fight for: Peace and Justice
For a Sith, the same applies for their drive for power: passion/attachments can get in the way of a goal instead of helping achieve it.
Attachments aren’t wrong, but there’s a reason total dedication to a cause requires the possible sacrifice and the acceptance of abandoning those attachments.

Vette's side quest arc is the last time you speak to her in Act 1. Wait for the beginning of Act 2 to be able to speak to her again.
Vette was always my favorite companion. I just loved her sarcastic nature and attitude. It took me forever to romance her.

i love going dark sith but light options for vette. the contradiction and hypocracy is great, i fell like my char would convince vette not to kill the hutt but then would procede to do it himself.

For me I started Dark, but as time went on my warriors love for Vette pushed them towards the light/eventually becoming grey. Kind of a reverse Anakin/Padme thing.
That was the best introduction for a companion I've ever seen.
And this is whole wBioware should make Star Wars games, THEY ARE THE RPG MASTERS!

I find it amazing how you can get a completely detailed story through almost every character and every choice you make. It's too bad i haven't come across any "Darth Revan-like" plot twists with the characters, but Bioware truly raised the bar (by about 5 stars worth) in MMOs and video games in general. Truly wish that over time they can branch out the SWTOR game to reach closer to the movies, or even have easter eggs from other comics or games.
That moment when you see what romance is like in a game and wish it was the same in reality. :(

If you pay close attention the shock collar is on Vette through out all of the class mission cut scenes in this video, but not in the companion cut scenes. Seems like the person that played this did the class storyline before the Vette romance storyline.

One good thing about gummy bear companion love stories is that you don't have to worry about your love interest killing you in your sleep to rise up in the ladder. Regardless of what Jaesa tells you, her primary goal is to be the most powerful, as is the goal with all Sith. An attempt on your life is not only predictable, it's inevitable.

They aren't good, so much as they are the more "tactical" sith who realize that you gotta do whats best for the Imperial Empire. Sometimes that means straying from your beliefs as a sith at times. Doesn't make you good, just reasonable.
