Great video. I was wondering how the 7" screen would look on the dash of my F-250 and this was the only reference I found showing the monitor installed.
Just bought the RD7 system and am looking for videos to install. Looks very easy. I just need to get on the roof to hook up the wire. That is the only concern I have. Thank you for the informative video.

@@AllElectricFamily i find these most useful for changing lanes while underway. excessive lag defeats the purpose. more expensive models have less lag but im trying to decide how much lag is worth how much money :-) thanks!
Just bought one for our trailer-about to install it, when you read the info about the camera, if the distance from the camera to the receiver is over 33 ft then the cable and closer antenna placement is needed to get a consistent signal. Ours is 26 ft from back to the hitch but on a F150 Crewcab so total distance longer than 33' to the receiver. Plan to use it for rear observation while on the road as well as back up so want to make sure signal gets to receiver.
They advertise 1080, except it doesn't record in 1080 if you have all 4 cameras recording, the actual recording is more like 480. It WILL Not loop record, the memory card has to be reformatted to be able to record over it, which means you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA when it stops recording wile you're driving. This thing is ONLY good for a backup camera (not recording) and thats it. You email their customer service about it and they want your order number the date and time you ordered it and your name before they can even answer simple questions. I told them it was not recording and they actually wanted me to send them video of it NOT recording.......how exactly do you do that?

Glad I could help!

You are welcome! The install was very easy. Hopefully it goes smoothly for you!
Great video. So the side video orientation was an easy fix. Awesome.
Yep, just a setting to flip it. Thanks for watching.
Very detailed video, helped a lot
Question. At 5:06... that was a plug and play connection? No wiring?
Yes it was plug and play on our camper. Thanks
Why not connect the wires BEFORE installing the marker???
Hi and Thanks for an interesting channel.

hows the nighvision?
We haven't used it much at night, but it seems to be decent!
Does the 3M seem to be holding up long term?
So far, so good!
The Amazon link is to a wireless version that is different then your.
how is it when driving? is it laggy?
I checked this out yesterday and when drive 60 MPH it was about 1/2 second. I’m sure you would have to hard wire something to not have lag.

@@richodphoto that’s the boat I’m in, mine lags about 1.5 seconds and skips while driving. What expensive systems are you looking at?
What does S M R T spell?
this makes no sense...it supposed to be wireless yet you have a big long cable...lol........yes i know its for the transmitter but still
At least it ensures the screen can get a good solid signal!

The camera system is total trash, don't waste your money.
Sorry you seemed to not have a good experience with it. It worked well for us until we sold the camper.
