My son Dave is usually my backing up back up guy. We were backing into a big campsite, lots of room, only a few pine trees near the back of the site. I had eyes on Dave in my mirror. He was waving me in. All was well until his attention seemed to wander. He was staring off to the left like he was in a trance. Suddenly BOOM! we had backed into one of those pine trees, bark, pinecones, and a dazed squirrel raining to the ground. "Dave!" I jumped out of the truck. "WTF happened?" Dave wore a silly grin and gestured to the road. There undulating along was an extremely attractive young lady obviously very proud of her Daisy Dukes. "Ah ha!" I said. "I understand completely." There was no damage to November X-Ray, our trailer, but that week we did install a Haloview camera. Every wknd is an adventure.
Haha, great story!
Wow, that was a great video. We can always count on you to keep us up to date. Looks like a good add-on to my RV. Thanks!
After you use those tabs you should silicone all on top of them and the silicone should dry and stick to the roof better for them not to come off.
Great video. I just installed a HaloView after my older Furrion camera failed. Their very long signal range systems are excellent and the colour on mine is brilliant.
Yeah we noticed the picture is much more vibrant than Furrion. Glad you are liking it.
Great help with my install. Thanks for sharing
Furrion 5S wireless system was one of the 1st upgrades I did on our 3350BH. Works great and you can add up to four cameras to the system. It has a speaker built into the 5 or 7 inch display so you can hear if someone is shouting directions to you. Or maybe screaming when you've pinned someone....lol. It also doubles as a surveillance system because the cameras will activate with motion. They give you a table top holder the monitor will snap onto for this.
Yeah another 3350!! That system sounds awesome but I'm not so sure about having a 5-7 inch display in front of my view. Are you used to it or feel like it obstructs?
Great video, were you able to rectify the problem causing the pausing of the video display when you hi the brakes? Also what sort of lag or latency is their between what the screen shows when driving and what's actually happening? Thanks
You mentioned you are a Haloview affiliate, is it possible to order this through your site?
Thanks for the video. I'm thinking about getting this camera as well. Did you ever figure out why the rearview camera cutoff when you hit the brakes?
No not yet. We have been parked though so we haven't had much opportunity to play around with it.
@@NoOrdinaryPath Any update on the braking after 11 months?
Love our ladder too! Booo on the 3M not sticking. One sweet looking setup though. Pretty jealous. Cool how it fits on the mirror. --Bill
Thanks Bill. With some approved adhesive on just a few of the ones that absolutely wouldn't stick it's working out fine.
@@NoOrdinaryPath that's good to hear!
Nice review. Looks like a nice alternative to the current trend of 7" monitors. I like that it de-clutters the dash. Did the 3 second glitch when you apply breaks get addressed?

Thanks. Good video, buying one. I did not notice that you wired into the running lights for power. Were you able to just connect to Furion connector directly?
Following - Has this been answered?
Love this presentation!
How about Haloview’s side cameras?
Question where did you get your ladder ? Thanks for your help
Thanks again we are from Joplin ,mo
We got it on Amazon. :) amzn.to/37ql5wb
Great review. Enjoyed how easy it seems to install. Question, how do you decide when to “refresh” the recording portion or does it continuously record and re-record as needed? I just wondered how you would use the footage concerning an incident? Would you suggest getting additional SD cards for managing recorded footage? Thank you for sharing your knowledge! #safetravels
Hey n1uno, the camera default is set to record over the oldest footage once the SD card becomes full. You can change this setting so that it simply stops recording once the card is full also. In regards to how it might come in handy in an accident has to do with liability: If someone cuts us off in a situation and I end up rear-ending them then I can prove they made a dangerous move first and thus the accident was not my fault. Many states are "no-fault" when it comes to accidents but not all of them! At this point we are just going to stick with the same SD card it came with and just pull the footage if we want too. Thanks for watching!
Just wondering what you guys use for route planning? I’m worried about trailer height. Is there a good reliable app or site?
That is a great question. To be honest we just use Google. We don't really have to worry much about height so I've never paid much attention. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! I've heard people use RV Co Pilot and Roadtrippers.
I like it. I have the same unit you had before
Sandpiper, that unit is a solid one. Honestly we'd have used it until it broke had Haloview not reached out to us. That being said the RD-10 is a massive upgrade.
Out all the videos I watched on this product nobody shows' how the speaker on this unit works or sounds inside the cab.Maybe you could shed some light on this if you will.Thank you
It is an interesting feature but it isn't a great quality.
@@NoOrdinaryPath Thanks
Use pieces of eternabond tape to secure the cable, wipe the roof with some alcohol and let dry, push down the tape or rollers to seal.
Thanks for the tip Frank!
Can't find them for sale on eBay, Amazon or their site???
Sorry you are having trouble finding it. Our link in the description, bit.ly/2Ce3I62, will take you to their website. It looks like this is out of stock currently. It isn't available on Amazon. Hopefully it will be back soon!
Are there side light cameras compatible with the RD10 so you can cover the blind spot?
Hey Carla, here's the most popular and powerful option that they have right now.
www.haloview.com/haloview-7-720p-wireless-range-dominator-system-rd7-max.html?acc=567
There's a few different systems and they even have some add on blind spot options for some of their other setups that might be compatable. Thanks for watching!
Could you run the wire inside your trailer?
Don't see why you couldn't. The whole outfit is waterproof though so you don't really need to. However, it would look cleaner. Good question.
oh cool! I like your life
???? Not much difference between this and a wired camera . I just don't see the point. All of these models i have seen on UA-cam depend on a "wired" booster aerial.
The camera system is total trash, don't waste your money.
Good video. Not impressed with halo view product (Wiring is awful, add on to rear view mirror is clunky, turn off when braking). Thanks for review.
You really think the mirror is clunky? I felt like it was the opposite - its just like there's nothing else in front of you anymore. Got to agree a bit on the wiring and the break issue though. Thanks for the view and commenting!
