- You did your research and learned that this is the best camera with best reception for your RV. So in this video I show how I install the Haloview RD 7 backup camera without the sales pitch. I install it on my 2021 Shadow Cruiser 240BH but that wont make much difference. Most RV's will require a similar install.

I've been researching rearview cameras for our RV, and this one looks to be the best. And the cost is less than the competition. I would love to see a real-world driving review of it. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels -Terry
Thanks Terry. Ya I got so busy packing for our first trip I did not get any travel video. Oh and I had the camera posing down to much making it useless to see who was behind me but worked great for backing in at our scamp site. The screen has a very sharp image. I want to find a quick way to have it pointing back for driving and down for backing up.
Very useful instructions! Thanks
Thanks, glad it was helpful.
I was 100% onboard with this one until you had to run the backup camera along the top of the camper. Honest question, could it be mounted back at the rear and be good enough or does it really have to be mounted that far up? I'm wondering if it would be possible to even mount it inside and not have the cable run up there at all.
Ya to solve the problem of bad signal and image delay on the other systems this is what you have to do. It has worked great so far. Interesting idea to run it inside to the front. Test the signal that way first and if it works run the cables the best you can to hide them.
Happy camping!
Staying at a hotel cheaper?
Sure. If there are hotels where you want to be. Camping provides much of the last waterfront spots available to the average person. And RV’s open up the back country to visit. We call it boon-docking, meaning off grid camping. No hotels there.
