I'm always looking for old classic semi trucks to save and restore. I'm also always looking for trucks or parts Detroit Diesel related. If you have one that needs to be saved or you know of one you can drop me an email at the following address: Ol2Stroker@gmail.com
Be sure to check out our website ol2stroker.com for truck parts and merch! - Авто та транспорт
Stainless steel beer wagon. Front half living quarters back half a lounge. The ultimate truck show hangout.
I want to drink beer there!
You dont look like you skipped lunch!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think you should make the inside a walk in museum for Detroit stuff. You could have some engines on stands and take them out at shows and run them.
So your sayin make a junk trailer out of it lmaooooo jk Wayno!!
An A/C'd walk-in merch store with maybe an engine or 2 for-sale in there and a huge Ol2stroker decal on the side
Museum idea is really cool, when we went to macungie this year we had too many unanswered questions. I wish guys had more info on their trucks
The museum would be cool
Now you got to get that reefer going see if it cools the trailer for them hot summer days LOL!
💯💯💯💯
Paint all the steel green (chassis, doorframe) like the green on the chassis on you're Pete, leave the rest as it is.
Cool trailer, I mean don’t bring it to my house or anything but it’s great for you! 🤣
🤣🤣
Fix the rot, polish it out, fix up the reefer unit, throw some polished alcoas on the outers and call her good.
Agreed
"My freaking baconator gonna hang out that hole"😂😂😂😂😂
Cant wait to see that thing at Onaway next year, so you need to get cracking.
🤣🤣🤣
Was around those Thermo Kings back in the late 80s. IIRC they were a Merc 4 cylinder. Had glow plus, need to preheat before starting. I pulled a few off, but never worked on the refrigeration. I think that is pretty straight forward. Worked for a company in college that was a meat producer. Lots of these units (Thermo King), pretty reliable and straight forward….
This sounds about right, I had a ‘81 240D Mercedes like 15 years ago and my dad used to say his reefer had the same engine. OM616 was in the car. They won’t start without glow plugs, or a ton of Cosby.
It needs a mural that says "wayne-o's swinging meat"
Bahahahahahaahh that's fucking mint
Yeah, I’d go with that lol 😂👍 Traiier looks sharp behind your Peterbilt, Wayne!
The banter between you two is hilarious 😂 ... Trailer, 4 nice flush fit laminated glass sky lights (hail proof of course), forward of the curb door a nice home away from home for the shows, from curb door back to 15 feet from tail end merch store, in the last 15ft, fold down deck (just inside rear doors) with railings to sit with mates & sell out of the merch store within 👍 cheers from Oz 🇦🇺
I still didn't know what i love more. Gold or Stainless Steel.
And i worked with Stainless Steel a lot as a mechanic, with lathes and mills.
I like how that old reefer unit is an actual box. It stands out from the modern reefer unit shapes
You don't come across a great friend like Bacon only once in a lifetime and I know you cherish and appreciate him Wayno. That trailer looks awesome can't wait to see it hooked up to the cabover come on driv,ah 😎🤘🏻👌🏻🤙🏻
These were the Rolls Royce of trailers back in the day. Great find and looks perfect hooked up to the Pete.
Always a brilliant video when James is in it. You 2 are hilarious 🤣👍
We have alotta fun!
Prima Donna. " my fifth wheel plate is painted" 😂
I'm a bitch i know!
Lol 😂
They look really good together. Mossy and stainless reefer.
Cabover will really shine tho!
Uncle Wanyo that thing is fucking awesome.... mossy looks so sick lashed up to the head end of that cant wait to see cab over on it
Polish stainless..... paint the new steel to be welded in to match mossy or the cab over.... huge ole 2 stroker logo in middle on both sides..... crome wheels..... fix inside to be rolling climate controlled two stroke Detroit diesel museum your v12 in it your 1 71 wat ever else ya got .....swag sales...... and a little camper area in front for you and James to shnoodle in lol this is my favorite utube channel thanks for being you
Best banter on UA-cam with bacon 😂 and that trailer is killer.. Can’t wait to see it behind big Bertha 😮💨
Hi Wayne. Way back in the day I used to pull reefer trailers. That trailer there has potential !
Thanks!
Wayne that is one beautiful trailer. I would keep it somewhat original but I would definitely put led lights throughout. It wouldn't hurt to put a little more stainless items items Like a stainless steel battery box. I trust you you have good taste you will do a wonderful job with her.❤😊
I miss doing stuff like this back in the day with my buddies it's like nobody wants to get out and have a little fun no more
It was great to finally meet you Wayne and James at Macungie this year. I could maybe see some green on the trailer frame to match Mossey
Nice meeting ya bro!
That was a absolute unit back in the day her best days are long behind her but it’s a cool piece of history
White Ground, Black Marker Lights, Brown Tail Lights, Yellow Left Turn/Brake, Green Right Turn/Brake, Red Brake, Blue Spare. Awesome trailer Wayne.
Put air ride under it,paint the reefer unit and bottom and top rails also paint around the doors on the back mossy green, aluminum wheels also extra lights
You make me feel better about the projects I buy, thank you sir.... HOOAH!!!
😂😂😂 this makes me laugh
Hooah!
@@wes11bravo HOOAH means everything but "NO'. HOOAH!!!
Im not sure what to make of this comment 🤣🤣
Gorgeous trailer, like you say a little bit of rust repair and paint, some polished wheels and you're styling!
LOL ... those old stainless trailers sure are purdy after a year of polishing 😁 you have a year of content knocking out the dents .. old girl needed to be rescued
which truck are you going to color match it to ? blue almost matches the 352 Congrats
Cabover for sure
Goddamnit I agree with James, I’m jealous! Nice score
That unit and the Super 2 that followed it were two of the most reliable units Thermo King ever built. It’s amazing the air chute is perfectly intact all the way back!
The inner light boxes on the back use to be available at several trailer dealers. If it were mine I would fix the rust spots, paint the front corners and back door frame to match whichever truck pulls it and let it roll. A nice Polar American decal would look sweet on the back door.
This video brought back a flood of memories and made my day!!
Road trip with bacon..... Nothing better, let me grab my beer......
Beauty Stainless!! I was watching a video of the newest trailer suspension geometry offered by Hendrickson. The newer air ride setup is so awesome the tractor has virtually no rough road / railroad track vibration transfer. So, if you are going to make any improvement look at finding the newest trailer chassis and probably spread too. More lights and chrome. Lots of chrome! Take the pull plate off and get that front section rebuilt. Seeing lots of rot but that is repairable. Take care and make a great video series.
Sounds expensive
@@Ol2Stroker I was actually thinking that since that is not a top priority item you might get lucky and find a wrecked trailer with the newer suspension. On the hunt. Must be one available somewhere.
@@gregorystewart6539 ill keep a lookout near the Glenville bridge for a newer trailer! Good idea!
James is a star ⭐
Sucker for stainless here!🔥
Same!
Saw a trailer done up as a walk thru display for Farmall tractors at a show once. How about a display of Detroit diesel memorabilia, tools, lit. parts, maybe even an engine or two. Sure would be a crowd pleaser!
I agree on the matching green on all the steel plus the reefer unit and battery boxes and then to match the striping on your tractor down the sides and back doors with vynal wrap run lights across the top and bottom and paint the reefer tank green with wide stainless straps now that would look amazing.
Do a bandit and snowman livery on it. 😍
Those stainless trailers are cool. 40 years old and still looks as good as the day it was new. Looks good behind the old 359!
Wayne, that's an incredibly nice, big shiny box you've got there. World's your oyster with that much Rick James party mirror in your life.
Absolutely lovely old gal.I would love to see you slide a spread axle tandem under there. All polished with a spread. ❤
Rebuild what’s corroded refurbish the rest, and you have a mint trailer, only upgrade I would think would be is LED lights. Just my opinion 😊
God I love the Pete and that trailer is killer looking behind it
😂😂😂 he said my baconator 😂 I love this channel.
Ol2Stroker, congrats on getting ur newest 84 Polar American Stainless Reefer Trailer, looks great behind ur Truck. enjoy-it..
That trailer is a freakin' beaut!!! No ice-box door on that bad boy!!! It's pretty damned mint, and still in a relatively high state of polish. Is that what Jerry Reed was pulling in S&tB??? I think you should make it into a rolling casino - like in that movie I can't remember the name of! Hey, you've already got the AC system covered...🤣 Giant O2S logo on the roof!!!
Them green cab clearance lights on Mintybroke are FREAKIN' KILLER dude!!!!!
Almost like Classic Big Truck and Trailer Ranch at the end! My favorite reefer is reefer-eyed beans with queso and onions!!👍
Good ol' American reefer.
Probably the reason it in great shape, is because most of those American stainless reefers were custom built for Owner Operators. I had new livestock trailer built at American in Ok. City, and they really built quality into their equip. Id sand blast the steel that's Rusty, repaint, and leave it like it was born. Thanks, Bill
Love when you two get together. Nonstop laughter. Thanks for the video Wayne. Just wrapping up a coyote swap and needed a laugh. What a sick trailer!
Great video Wayne really nice trailer you bought. Looks good behind Mossy. It will look even better behind the Cabover you can definitely tell it was someones pride and joy with the shape the trailer is in. Thanks for sharing stay safe Wayne.
Wayneo will be out there polishing that stainless lol
Hey now you can go up to Utica Veal and pick up a 10 stop load to Florida.
You could sure put a lot of merch in that trailer for when you go to shows and it's air conditioned. Tell me who has that. This guy.
Great idea!!
1000 chicken lights. 😂
That's cool trailer goes good with the truck.
I would love an old truck like that. No DEF or EPA crap.
Awesome trailer, cleaned up, and painted, it'll look incredible.
Great looking trailer Wayne.
Congrats man.
You 2 are hilarious when you get together
Wayne, sweet ass reefer!fix her up and put her to use, or make her into a DD museum with a/c. Sweet combo,I'm jealous!
Man it’d look retro cool with some chrome outer wheels on the back. My dads friend had an American Polar and he had the steel wheels chromed and they were super sharp lookin
I would love that
Problem with that is that chroming steel wheels is so expensive now. The EPA ruined that along with many other things back in the day. Shut down a bunch of chrome dipping places. Finding used chrome steel wheels without rust is even harder
Looks freaking awesome!!! Can’t wait to you get it your way !!! More videos on this !
Air ride rear and some polished wheels. Maybe a nice painted beer logo on the side.
Really nice ole trailer Wayne
I just love the old vintage crome reefer trailers it's a beautiful trailer I understand completely why you had to have it I'd love to have too
Damn it man I bet that old girl has seen the West Coast many times behind a hot large car in its day ssswweeetttt!!! Love them old style reefers
def airride the back end, put a normal aircond in place of the reefer unit (inside the Thermoking housing) and deck some out as a living space for shows and have the back for Merch at shows and picking up parts. You could have a swing out crane arm for picking lighter stuff up (gearboxes, etc) near the back door...EDIT it looks great from drone view will look even better once you sort out the bits that need fixing.
Awesome find uncle Wayne! Love this shit! Dropped my fuel tank 9.1 just north of twin bridges last week 😂😂😂😂 the work never ends.
❤love the drone shots, really brings me back to the real days of trucking ❤❤
Never ends bro!
That's a beautiful trailer, i love it! just restore it as it is, and make that beautiful Thermo King working again :) cheers from Italy
They definitely don't build them like they used to. Nicely done on getting that ol girl from the yard.
I'm wondering if, considering how old that reefer is, did it get converted to R-134 or is it still rocking the R-12? Even if you get it started, it might be quite the hassle trying to get R-12 or converting it. Of course that's depending on what will be the end result.
Sending good vibes your way she doesn't screw you over, Wayne.
Dan - hey brother. Out of curiosity, is it the same process converting it to R-134 as it would be with an older car?
@@wes11bravo AFAIK, it would be the same process but the concern is the age of the components, especially if it's still the original setup with the R-12. If it was converted to 134, then those components would most likely be newer, not necessarily need replacement and more readily available parts if it comes to it.
Thanks I'm curious about the refrigerant also
That trailer looks amazing. I am looking forward to your restoration...and of course the Themo King will it start.
08:02 “…you don’t look like you skipped lunch…”
That's one sharp trailer. Looks great on the truck.
Need more chicken lights on that trailer wayne ... Nice buy going to look good behind the cab over
Looks like a real good solid trailer. Can’t wait to see it behind Bertha. James is right on about everything other than the amber rear lights, a lot of rigs had 2 red 1 amber or 1 red 1 amber on each side. The amber generally was the turn signal. I think if you weld some new plate on there, maybe wire it up with 1 amber in the middle on each side for turn signal and do one red on each side for brake. I’d imagine you’re thinking of painting the steel parts to match Bertha, I’m just not sure if it should be red to match the truck frame or blue to match the truck body 🤔
Nice pete
Definitely behind the cabover
That is a sweet trailer Wayne!
What a Freakin Treat Boys! I’m sure that trailer would look good behind any truck, but Mossey has my vote. Absolutely Sick Fellas!
Air ride, all the chicken lights alcoa wheels job done
Loved the video!
Who the smoo is this guy … this guy is the new star on the program .. Mfer ripped his overalls SOB
You scored a very nice trailer!
Hope the refer unit works
Think of all the x90’s you could fit in there? 🤣
Tex has his own!
Looks like something peg would get. Mint 👌🏼
I was waiting to see if you did a video on comin to get her . Wish I coulda been there when u picked it up . She’s gone to a good home can’t wait to see it when it’s finished
Since you're thinking pulling it with the cabover I'd say paint the sub frame red, frame rails and reefer unit the same blue as the truck
Love the reefer!! Puts TwinStick's bandit trailer to shame! Huge fan of stainless!!
Paint all of the steel truck color put your logo on the roof for the drone shots at the shows.
Can’t wait to see that bad boy all polished up
It looks so good with the truck.
Damn. That's one SWEET STAINLESS STEEL TRAILER. You really need to get the O8 pete up and running. That's what would really look good in front of that trailer. Never Late with an 08. Back in the Day. That would have been the real Hot Setup. ! JUST SAYING. Good luck with your new projects.🇺🇸💯🍺
Nice trailer
Looks good behind your Pete.very nice.
Need to move the axles forward on the trailer a little bit.
The amber on the turns is pretty old school. Framton and a lot of other did it. I’d leave the amber!
Спасибо, вам парни
С Питера, смотрю с удовольствием..
