Hey Mark. Nice job finding the exact truck model from BIG Trouble in Little China. You DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY buy her and transform her into The PORKCHOP EXPRESS. Please and Thank you.
there was a UA-cam channel out of BC "Back Yard Tank Show"(been quiet a couple years) They had a RS700L with the correct sleeper sitting in their tree line ... video 3 years ago " New Project Revealed " no the Mack isnt the project , just in the way
In 1979, I was lucky enough to buy a 1978 freightliner similar to that one. It had a 36" sit in bunk. 400 Cummins, 13 spd with 370 rears on freightliner air rude. It was brown with buckskin interior. Twin chrome cans and exhaust the fuel tank were set back and battery and tool boxes under the door. WOW. Talk about a flash back looking at the truck sure brought a flood of memories
Mornin Mark, I think Mrs. Twin stix should get her own channel so we can hear what she says every time you buy another truck, that would be some good listening. I agree with you guys that truck is pretty close to the Pork chop express and it is not to far gone to fix, and the running C block is a super bonus, and It's gonna look damn good sittin with the other three. Have a great week my friend say hello to Mrs. Twin stix for us.
Hello Mark, I’m excited to see next weeks video to see if you come home with the “Pork Chop Express” that is a great movie and that truck would be a great addition to your collection!! Thursdays are always great, can’t wait for your videos!!
Hi Mark this is Ken Holloway the retired Trimac driver boy that’s a cool old freight shaker that’s all we had as company trucks all of them were mostly day cabs.l drove those for 25 years of my 30 years of work then we started to get Kenworth those 120 models where the warmest and the best to drive in winter, everybody else would have frosted up windows. When we got those kenworths I really missed those freightliners. I don’t have to many pictures back then we never thought of taking a lot them but I do have a few l will see if I can find the ones I have and I’ll try to send you some pics and email you well I guess that’s all for now.
Morning Twinsticks garage family....and friends....y'all had one heck of a time there at the auction yard ....it's nice to see happiness amongst people...that's a rarity these days....I have a feeling that ole twinsticks garage will be around for a long...long. Time ❤️✝️🇨🇦🇺🇸✝️❤️😎
Hey Mark. Great score on finding the exact kind of FREIGHTLINER like the Porkchop Express from Big Trouble in Little CHINA. You DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY buy this lovely truck and turn it into the truck from the movie. Please and Thank you.
@@TwinStix thought I replied earlier, maybe it got removed (reference to a forum I'm on for Peg 🤷, I'll leave it out) or I never hit send. I have an '89 Colony Park (the project car, it's rough), '91 Grand Marquis (retired daily, it's rough), and a '98 Grand Marquis (new daily for the past 4.5 years, it's in pretty good shape.) Anyway, neat that you finally found a Pork Chop Express candidate with the right bunk even.
@@TwinStix the way you guys geek out over the truck is kind of how I'm with those box panthers. I can tell you tons about them. Did you at least get to ride in the car? Looking forward to finding out if you bought the truck or not.
Looks like the Trimmacs we used to get in that hauled flour for the bakeries in Ontario. Grab it Mark, And maybe a Mack for the Rubber Duck, A cab over Pete and a Jimmy, you know, for haulin' hogs..............
You are a cool guy. I love your videos and I love all your trucks. I’m from Winston-Salem North Carolina. Keep those videos coming and I’ll keep watching it.
Pure enjoyment watching this while drawing up dash panels on Fusion 360 for my ‘83! I’m going to warn you though, they’re not like a Peterbilt or Kenworth. Off the shelf parts are scarce. Luckily they share parts with an FLD and Classic.
He's not wrong about the dash & everything . My gramps had a classic xl as I was growing up and it all looks pretty much the same besides the windshield obviously. I'm excited for this one if you actually got it. I think it would be kinda cool for someone to make a replica of the pork chop express and actually go haul pigs with it. P.S a fun fact I just learned recently is that the pork chop express also appeared in the 2018 movie "ready player one" as a obstacle in one of the races.
I built that trruck from the bottum up when i was a kid in Scandinavia. it was dark brown with all the right stickers and some yellow pinstripe maybe. The only thin that made me remember this 40 yrs later is the VERY VERY square blinkers. nice truck. i paid like 40$ for that box of parts to glue it together.
I bet they were glad to see you come along. They probably thought they would never sell it... Well at least you got a really nice Cat engine and an Alpine headunit out of the deal LOL. I actually drove one of those back in the day, but it didn't have one of those big goofy lookin sleepers on it. It was only a couple years old at the time. It was alright but it was like most Freightliners, and when it got about 500 miles on it LOL it started rattling, had air coming in around the door, and the dash a/c vents started falling apart.
Mark i really love all the replicas but at the same time mrs twinstix is gonna kill ya she said "no more trucks you get three bays for them" 😂😂😂 but it would be nice to see three beautiful replica trucks sitting side by side.
LOL, I learned some new phrases today like brand used, pre-enjoyed & pisseyes of oil pressure! You are the last chance for this old Fright-Liner to live on into the future!😎
Hey Mark you have to buy that! Don’t worry about shed space you can always build a bigger shop…. And tell the missus if you don’t buy it I’ll unsubscribe 😉😂
The engine sounds good. Should be an aluminum cab, I think. I prefer the older version of the Freightliner conventional with the double headlights bracket like the Peterbilts have. Actually ran one once in 1981/2 for a while.
7:28 Dude! A Realistic CB? I have one of those in my 88 FLC! A Realistic TRC-419. Love that thing. The cupholder is for a ceramic coffee cup like you use in a house, not for when driving, heh. The b model did have available factory cruise control, but only if it was a PEEC engine. Contrary to popular belief, the electronic PEEC engines started with prefix 8tc b model. My first truck had one factory and it still works. Kinda nice having an 89 with factory cruise control, heh. Freightliner did indeed cover the FLC with rivets. He is correct, the FLC and FLD were largely unchanged in many ways in regards to cab and interior. There were some differences over the years, but not many.
Heres a suggestion The GM General from Knight Rider 1982-1986 18:09 the truck is being controlled by a Comet that passed in 1986 since the release of Big Trouble In Little China the truck has been there since 1986 and is possed by the Beautiful Movie

@@TwinStix How much did it end up selling it for? Did Dallas have any problem towing it home for you or did peg just go for it and drive it?
@@ChrisHarding-lk3jj He definitely purchased it, that is why the video abruptly ends.
PLEASE BUY THIS!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS BUILD!!!!
@@buckeyenation7322 I Agree with you. Mark must buy this truck and turn it into The Porkchop Express.
Mark you have to restore a old mack as the rubber duck one day

my dream truck is a 1979 Freightliner FLC120, 8V92 Detroit Diesel, and an 18 speed transmission.
