Played the beta for a few hours, I loved the overall look and feel of Oahu, and the variety in the playlists was nice, more interesting than FH5 stories. The whole world does feel far more alive. That being said, I really hated the way car upgrades are handled, giving upgrades piece by piece, I think FH5 does that better. Still, overall, looking forward to where this game goes, it should be a lot of fun!
That's how they did upgrading cars for the crew two, so what are you complaining about? It's like that for a reason the games creator is huge fan of world of War craft. It's basically world of warcraft but for cars. Stop complaining unless your a true fan of the crew ganes.
I feel like an underrated detail is the race length. TC2 had a ton of races but many were like 3 minutes long. I feel like Motorfest had a lot of races that were about 6 or 8 minutes long and its more fun to try and catch up to opponents like that

The funniest thing about sound is, that quality feels more crystal clear, than in FH5 xDDD I have Creative Sound Blaster AE-9 sound card with Burson V6 Opamps, and Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro headphones. And FH5 still sounds like an old radio. One small detail, that I love in Motorfest, are residual exhaust shots after you stop using nitro. Speaking of the map size - maybe, Motorfest is just a small spin-off test field before a numbered title (The Crew 3), which is going to feature a big-ass sized map yet again...? But, it's a bit dissapointing, that the game features just a downsized replica of O'ahu, not a 1:1 map, like TDU did.
I'm VERY excited for TCMF after experiencing the early versions. Leagues better than TC2, and even better in a lot of ways compared to FH5. I really hope this is a kick in the ass to PGG to improve the series again. Hell, just not requiring the player to WIN all the time just to progress is a MASSIVE leap forward in enjoyment. I think the "win at all costs" model is why the online players are so solo-minded and will ram you out of the way, even in team events. We need FUN racing games to make a comeback.

I feel like The Crew Motorfest is a awesome game to play and the map is phenomenal and amazing physics and graphics and the feature I like in The Crew Motorfest is the 900 degree angle steering. The car sounds in TCM is amazing better than TC2 and FH5 tbh. Especially when you startup your car in TCM is amazing better than TC2. Definitely a awesome and most fun game to play in 2023.
Thing is, the map wasn’t too big. They should have had bigger lobbies. Allow bigger groups of friends to play together and the map would have felt better driving through
What I loved in the car list is that the S/R are separated in tier 1 and 2, like huracan,GTR r35 Nismo, lancer X, Murieclago are tier 2 type of cars witch they are modern cars and in Tier 1 we have old cars like 69 camaro, cadilac eldorado, harely davidson bikes older type of cars
my only complaint about motorfest is the feel of the brakes bc I'd be ripping around in a racing edition car and it would brake like it weights 20,000 lbs. other then that I absolutely love the experience so far
I feel like graphics are over saturated because there were certain parts where the people were orange along with background. They can improve traffic cars also. As for those issues, it's an awesome game.

The physics are the part that’s going to make or break this game for me. I didn’t like how TC2 felt to drive. I like Forza Horizon 5’s physics a lot better.
I enjoyed the playlists, but the only time I’m able to drive my own car in any event aside from the grand races is the playlists again, I think there should be more events to use your own car with in the final game, then it becomes a 10/10

As a longtime diehard fan of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, i am so impressed the way Ubisoft do to improve THE CREW 2 even further into The Crew 3 Motorfest especially the car sounds!
My biggest gripe is that there's no rear engine/rear drive model for the physics yet. Notice that all the Porsches besides the 926 say "MR", or mid-engine rear wheel, which is blatantly fake for rear engined classics like the 3.6 turbo. This is reflected in the porsches rear sliding out occasionally, which shouldn't happen, the front should be the lightest and rear the heaviest. I really hope they implement RR Porsche physics at launch
For me as a motorcycle enthusiast, rather than car. There isn't really any open world motorcycle games that we have to choose from. The closed circuit games like Ride are nice but this is pretty much our only option.
Motorfest will need to do map expansions, TC2 map is the main reason the game lasted so long, if they dont do map expansions this games replayability womt be great, also this map isnt built for hypercars, we need more and longer straights.

My enjoyment of this game hinges entirely on the physics. The physics in The Crew 2 are some of the worst I've ever experienced in a racing game, feeling sluggish and rubbery. I felt like I had almost no real control of where my car was on the road and like my inputs were more like vague suggestions than actual _control._ Motorfest NEEDS to have solid, consistent physics. Not more realistic, not more arcadey, more consistent. If it's going for Forza Horizon style simcade, it MUST have a similarly crisp, sharp control feel. Oh yeah and remappable controls. TC2's default layout was trash and the fact you couldn't change it at all on console, the "controls" menu being just a useless screen showing the layout was inexcusable.
Ngl I do wish that some dual-clutch cars didn't have that shaky sound when upshifting, like the Porsche 911 GT3RS since it takes away from that CLEAN H6 engine noise.
When I played the beta on my PlayStation, the adaptive triggers actually worked on the gear shifts and I thought it was so cool, I don’t know if gt7 or nfs unbound have that on ps5 or not, but I still think it’s awesome
The gearbox sounds are just bizarre. I’ve been driving manual cars for 50 years and have never heard anything like this. I’d be afraid my transmission would be left on the road somewhere.
I hope the new game allows you to turn of traffic but other than that i think its an awesome game the map does seem a little small but thats ok for now.
I hope for the PC Version we will be able to get rid of the FPS blocker. Like max 60fps for a 2023 game is a big NO NO. I dont want to play a console game on my PC, i want it to be adapted to PC
Not all games are simulators and the crew has always been more of an arcade racer so if youre looking for realism go to forza or smthing i dont know any simulator games
Ubisoft needs to do some MAJOR patching before release. I played the beta, and even did an earlier playtest. Sadly was plagued with constant crashes. All the while, I was unable to change the resolution of the game to fit on an ultrawide monitor. Even after a reinstall and verifying file integrity, the game ran poorly on an 4080 at 1080p, sometimes even struggling to hit the stupid 60FPS limit that was unable to be removed. I really wanted to enjoy the beta, but the glitchyness and lack of proper resolution made it not so fun for me.
@@whitespace226 It's true that no game is perfect on release, however, there is no denying the the release quality of games if FAR worse now, than what it used to be a while ago. The common mentality with developers is "Release now, fix later". That being said, the fact the game would crash upon setting the resolution higher than 1080p, beta or full release, shouldn't have gotten past QA testers. I'm not asking for perfection. I'm asking for a game that should run higher than 60FPS on a $2,500USD PC.
One complaint. The Grand PVP race. That needs to be no contact, watching the entire lobby plow into a wall like it's Turn One at Monza just to one up each other isn't funny

Looks overall way better than the first 2. Only the map was much bigger and cooler in the first 2 crew games but atleast in this game it’s technically a more detailed map and graphically
I have to disagree on the menu system. The new menu is FAR more confusing than the old one. I will admit that TC2's menu was clunky and slow, but it MADE SENSE. This one throws so much at you and it's overwhelming.
While I agree with you on many of your points I have to completely disagree on your opinion of the menus. Yes, the new set-up is very clean and looks nice, but it wasn't until the third and final day that I was able to figure out how to at least slightly navigate everything. That and I couldn't ever figure out how to purchase vehicles with was a really huge bummer for me honestly
I think a traffic slider is an absolute must in open world racing games… FH5 feels so dead and empty, watching this footage it seems similar :/ altho obviously only in beta atm

So far only the physics still being more to the arcade side and the car upgrades still requires you to find stuff instead up spending to upgrade like FH5. Everything else outperforms FH5 honestly. More than 180 degrees steering animation, window up/down option, hand out the window, better turbo spool and blowoff and supercharger sounds not like in FH5 turbo blow offs even with 1% throttle annoying blow off sounds , more raw car sounds, my gosh a big map with an actual modern city unlike some old town with only introverts lol the map feels alive with pedestrians, other players and an enjoyable car experience. Finally something nice. Now we see how playground games will reply to this and not to forget the upcoming Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown which has some VERY interesting things to offer too
The only thing I did not like about the game from beta test is the car upgrades... I hate the random parts aspect and no real in depth customization. Engine swaps, gearboxes etc. Other than that aspect, everything about the game feels great. And I really like the heavier grounded feel of the vehicles handling.
Owww man, im still pissed. The first Beta worked just fine. Now i was so exited to try the game without the annoying watermarks AND TO MY luck, the Beta didnt work at all. I had 20fps, and the performance was horrible, it was like playing with 10seconds delay. I WANTED TO PLAY THE GAME, but ubisoft fucked up again. No its not my PC as i said the first beta worked fine on the higest settings, i couldnt play the second beta even in lowest settings.
One of the confirmed issues was a compatibility issue with overwolf and one version. I wish they fixed and extended for those who couldn’t get it fixed.
I’m really curious about this one. I love Forza Horizon 5 but I’ve milked that game for all it’s worth. I also lived on Oahu for about a year and a half, and I’m super curious how they designed the map, and what landmarks they included. It all comes down to the driving physics in the end though. It has to feel good to drive. I would be happy if it felt like Forza Horizon, with its own spin.
It's no surprise that Motorfest looks/plays better. It's been 5 years. Like comparing FH3 to FH5. I think the smaller map is a downgrade. I still prefer the Crew 2 map over what FH4 or FH5 offers.
Don't get me wrong I love the new Motorfest mechanics but something feels off I don't know my cars almost always feel slidy and I like my cars to have good breaking for good turning and I fell in love with the Crew 2's pro settings but I have no clue how to make my cars gripy in the Crew Motorfest.

One complaint. The Grand PVP race. That needs to be no contact, watching the entire lobby plow into a wall like it's Turn One at Monza just to one up each other isn't funny

Does anybody know if there will be another closed test before the release? Unfortunately the email from Ubisoft with my invitation got sent to SPAM section and I've seen it too late, I've downloaded the game anyway, but obviously it's too late now, the servers are not working

im honestly hoping this amazing game from ivory towers sends a message to playground games too step it up with FH5 into FH6 (if there is one) cause now they got some serious competition
the only thing i want is for them to remove exclusive cars, i know there will be motorpass and other stuff but atleast make it that people could somehow get them after the exclusive event is over. even if you must pay real cash.
Looks overall way better than the first 2. Only the map was much bigger and cooler in the first 2 crew games but atleast in this game it’s technically a more detailed map and graphically
I glad change the handling physics in Crew Motorfest is so much better than Crew 2 actually

I have to disagree on the menu system. The new menu is FAR more confusing than the old one. I will admit that TC2's menu was clunky and slow, but it MADE SENSE. This one throws so much at you and it's overwhelming.
While I agree with you on many of your points I have to completely disagree on your opinion of the menus. Yes, the new set-up is very clean and looks nice, but it wasn't until the third and final day that I was able to figure out how to at least slightly navigate everything. That and I couldn't ever figure out how to purchase vehicles with was a really huge bummer for me honestly

I think a traffic slider is an absolute must in open world racing games… FH5 feels so dead and empty, watching this footage it seems similar :/ altho obviously only in beta atm

When I saw the blue lambo in the first clip, I thought it was forza 5, but it wasn't, and judging the game looked like forza that says enough about graphics.

i just wish it had vr support. i wouldnt play anything else if it did.
So far only the physics still being more to the arcade side and the car upgrades still requires you to find stuff instead up spending to upgrade like FH5. Everything else outperforms FH5 honestly. More than 180 degrees steering animation, window up/down option, hand out the window, better turbo spool and blowoff and supercharger sounds not like in FH5 turbo blow offs even with 1% throttle annoying blow off sounds , more raw car sounds, my gosh a big map with an actual modern city unlike some old town with only introverts lol the map feels alive with pedestrians, other players and an enjoyable car experience. Finally something nice. Now we see how playground games will reply to this and not to forget the upcoming Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown which has some VERY interesting things to offer too

Played the beta and was pretty impressed I had a lot of fun but the overalll driving and graphics I still gotta go with forza

How many people can you drive with?
The only thing I did not like about the game from beta test is the car upgrades... I hate the random parts aspect and no real in depth customization. Engine swaps, gearboxes etc.
Other than that aspect, everything about the game feels great. And I really like the heavier grounded feel of the vehicles handling.
The creators are world of warcrafts fans so the upgrade system is like WoW but with cars

Owww man, im still pissed. The first Beta worked just fine. Now i was so exited to try the game without the annoying watermarks AND TO MY luck, the Beta didnt work at all. I had 20fps, and the performance was horrible, it was like playing with 10seconds delay. I WANTED TO PLAY THE GAME, but ubisoft fucked up again. No its not my PC as i said the first beta worked fine on the higest settings, i couldnt play the second beta even in lowest settings.
One of the confirmed issues was a compatibility issue with overwolf and one version. I wish they fixed and extended for those who couldn’t get it fixed.

I’m really curious about this one. I love Forza Horizon 5 but I’ve milked that game for all it’s worth. I also lived on Oahu for about a year and a half, and I’m super curious how they designed the map, and what landmarks they included. It all comes down to the driving physics in the end though. It has to feel good to drive. I would be happy if it felt like Forza Horizon, with its own spin.
Have you ever played Test Drive Unlimited? That was based on Oahu too and I'm looking forward to comparing the differences.
It's no surprise that Motorfest looks/plays better. It's been 5 years. Like comparing FH3 to FH5. I think the smaller map is a downgrade. I still prefer the Crew 2 map over what FH4 or FH5 offers.
Don't get me wrong I love the new Motorfest mechanics but something feels off I don't know my cars almost always feel slidy and I like my cars to have good breaking for good turning and I fell in love with the Crew 2's pro settings but I have no clue how to make my cars gripy in the Crew Motorfest.
Its because the crews 2 physics are objectively unrealistic and Motorfest made the physics more realistic when you compare it to tc2 physics
So you actually have to brake a bit earlier than you would in tc2 when doing turns from what i know
