- I've only seen the Josstice League once in the cinema's and after the release of the EPIC snyder cut, I decided to go back and see whether the Josstice cut was really that bad.... and it was..... RIP.

The whole thing Geoff Johns and Warner did was the worst of the worst behaviour ever. No artist should ever experience to see their vision get crumbled to crap like this. Holy shit WB really did Ray Fisher dirty. They cut out all the context and scenes with Cyborg that made him a believable character. I went from meh in the 2017 cut to thinking ‘yeah, Cyborg has heart’. The line of his still gets me when he says ‘I’m not broken, and I’m not alone’. So yeah, I completely get why Fisher was pissed.
They gutted the teamwork with the Justice League. They gutted Steppenwolf, Flash, and Wonderwoman. I can’t go back to that 2017 cut anymore
Cyborg is a completely different character, its shocking! Imagine an up and coming actor gets cast for a movie as big as this, works close with the director and creates a wonderful character, for a next guy to come in and remove ALL of it. Ray Fisher got done so dirty!
Cyborg was probably the coolest charakter in this movie. I don't remember an actor in recent years being so screwed by the director like Ray Fisher was.

Let's not forget, during the whole period between bvs and josstice league, the at&t buyout was in progress, but not finalized yet. WB wanted to please the critics.
In a way, they were. They knew the movie wasn't good but the released it anyway so they could get their Christmas bonuses. There's an article about it.
Makes me think they have infiltrators in the company that work for Disney. For some reason the plots end up being similar. Civil war, even the ideas in Infinity wars and Endgame, right down to a beheading.
The shady thing was they kept Snyder's name on this film. After all the shit Joss did in butchering it, WB rolled it up, and tied it around Zach's neck, as if he was responsible for it.

It actually had Joss Whedon on IMDB and then, for some unknown reason (or not), they changed it about a month ago.
The only reason they kept it is because they had to. Snyder shot the film, but joss shot mianly reshoots. Credits go by law/film rules to the guy who shot the principal photography, not reshoots

The observation I've made after re-watching Josstice League is that you can tell that with the way it was edited and with the reshoots that were done, the actors look like they're just there to do a job. In the REAL JL film, everyone looks like they're ENJOYING PLAYING A LARGER THAN LIFE CHARACTER.

The last thing mcu wants is competition to die over, because without it, audience will get bored of them.

I went to go see the movie in Iceland. The little fishing village in the beginning was in Iceland, and those were real icelandic actors, but the moment Mamoa starts speaking icelandic, the whole theater erupted in laughter, you could not tell a single word coming out of his mouth

i rewatched Josstice League before watching Snyder cut when it came out and after watching this i want to make an edit of josstice league called the "ultimate injustice edition" that adds a laugh track to all the jokes, wacky cartoon sound effects to battles, and freeze frame moments for the audience to laugh before cutting to black and starting the next scene. a true work of art to show how "good" it is compaired to Zack Snyder's original.

I hadn’t gone back to rewatch Josstice League, but OMG how does anyone who’s watched Zack’s Justice League think “It’s the same.” They’re completely different films, and Zack’s is probably one of the best DC films flat out. One of the biggest problems with josstice league is the characters never got their own solo film to introduce the character like marvel did before the teamup. But Zack Snyder did a really good job introducing 3 characters and given them a meaningful story especially cyborg.

Zack Snyder's Justice League has substance compared to MCU movies. Imagine an entire universe of movies that can actually be complex and show the repercussions of each film.
Exactly man, his movies feel like they have a purpose for existing, you can feel the art behind it. With so many MCU films, a lot of them just feel like they were made for the sake of it
@@TheSlyNerdHour That as well. I'm specifically talking about how the DC universe is effected by each movie. I mean each of Zack's movies start with what happened in the last movie. Setting up the stakes and problems of the next film. I mean what ever happened to the civil war in the MCU. None of the films in the MCU *really* takes the effect of the previous film and runs heavey with the toll/price it has on the characters.

When I watched the 2017 Justice League I really hated Cyborg. I thought he's just a discount Superman who can uncomfortably fly and shoot beams.
But in Zack Snyder's Justice League he became my favourite character from the team. That whole part where Silas tells him about his powers was so impactful.

It's terrible, But a magic arrow shot into an ancient city, picked up by a broadcast that wonder woman very fortunately manages to overhear which opens a secret underground door with cave paintings isn't what I would call a massive improvement. Batman knows about WW, he should just send a bloody satellite phone to Themyscira so WW's mum can call if there is any trouble. Instead we get this contrived nonsense. The script in both versions is absolute trash tier.
The whole purpose of that shrine was to warn of an invasion/incoming danger as they explained that Darkseid's invasion years ago was a highly significant event, but forgotten by Men as they grow old and die. The amazons do not. Since it is such an ancient site, it wouldn't be by luck WW saw it, it was covered worldwide. WW saw the British news feed and the shrine is in Greece.
The secret underground door also makes sense because it builds on the mythology of this world, Darkseid's invasion was significant, therefore it would be carved out in some form of painting or some form they could remember. WW knew exactly what it meant because she has been told over the 5000 years she has been alive.
Batman knows about WW but not where Themyscira is...... if a satellite could pick it up I'm sure it would have been found long ago... its hidden for a reason...
I understand you may not like the script but at least come with a little better explanation as to why
@@TheSlyNerdHour Everything you said makes sense except for the fact that the Amazons should have established a direct form of communication with WW by now and that they have the means to do so as well.
There are numerous reasons why WW may not see that broadcast before it is too late. Technology that allows for direct and immediate communication makes much more sense then what we got.
Also the Amazons could have just shot the arrow with a bloody "note" attached saying the mother boxes are awake.
My main point is the Amazons are bloody stupid for not taking on any modern tech.

I think that the Snyder cut was a lot better than the original! It had more action and it explained more of the character's past! The extra duration allowed for more explanation for different scenes that happened!

Its crazy bro, I saw the Josstice league in theaters and fell asleep, I have NEVER fell asleep in theaters (im 32) and have always been in love with cinema because i write comic books. This depressed me so much i sorta quit going to the theaters. Fast forward to now and i watched all 4 hrs of snyder cut and it was so good i fell in love again with cinema. I dont care what anyone says the snyder cut was pure art & seeing my childhood on screen was amazing. Darkseid looked terrifying along desaad & granny goodness. I hope DC/WB allows snyder to continue this tale. Snyder cut 10/10 easily. #restorethesnyderverse

I completely agree, The Snyder cut was so so much better. I've heard that the Flash scene had the CGI completed when Joss Whedon took the reigns, although that might be wrong. Either way, that scene was phenomenal both visually and in terms of music I don't see why it would be cut for him to push a truck instead but it is what it is. You make some great reactions, keep it up!
Yeah!! Zack said his whole 4 hour movie was complete with just a bit of VFX needing to be done. All he reshot in the Snydercut was the ending Knightmare scene with Joker and Batman, the rest of the footage was what he had from before. Joss Whedon had access to all of that and still decided to film MORE but worse footage... its unbelievable..

I had the reaction you’d get seeing a compilation of snuff films starring your friends, family and favourite artists.
I had this “wtf” cringe the whole movie. When i left i knew I couldn’t never see that again and the only way I would is if it’s a Snyder directors cut.
My D.C.E.U folder on my external drive (or as I call it the Snyderverse) for years it had:

Tell myself one day I’ll get to put in number 5.Justice league.
We waited 30 years and got the Donner cut of Superman 2 with 1% the public hype. So I was more confident than other Snyder fans that we’d get our wish.
I just never expected it to come so fast.
And then because of Covid and everything had stopped production I was like “now they’re gonna release it, they have to.
they’ve got no new content coming.
A public demand that renders advertising redundant.
They have a 95% completed epic blockbuster sitting in a Vault at at time where their competitors are frozen.
Like having a well a well stocked store open for business when every other shopkeeper was……..quarantined (sorry I ran out of metaphor)
1 month later it was announced on ZS watch party.
I watched his BVS one live,
Missed ‘MOS one (the one with the announcement) but read it in a headline a little later, checkers online and cried happy.
The trailer with hallelujah was just a big reassuring hug that this time your getting Zack, darker longer and uncut! Just the way we like him.
Only down side is the Snyder haters would come out In force and pan the film ala BVS…..
But they didn’t.
Maybe it’s cause it’s Covid and it was running unopposed in the minds of viewers.
Maybe it was different enough from BVS that people liked it.
Maybe people didn’t wanna piss on the accomplishment the fans made by turning back the tide on a multinational corporation’s decision.
Maybe people have warned up to Zack’s style.
Or maybe a starving man will enjoy a meal he doesn’t usually like.
But it was met with an wave of positivity and good will, lots of “I’m a mcu fan, but am happy for you guys” stuff.
It made people go back and appreciate more of BVS.
And the movie itself was excellent, better than I imagined and I can imagined quote a lot.
The hype I felt was met and was even superseded. Exactly how I felt after BVS.
Damn it feels good to be a Snyder fan in 2021.

Funny how it's only 2 hours long and yet it felt so boring and long but also rushed (storywise)?!? 😪😪 unlike Snyder cut which didn't even felt like it was 4 hours long (for me at least) because it made me so invested with every character.
