I feel really bad for the actors. They have to walk on eggshells when they sit for an interview because they know if they say too much, they'll get in trouble and lose their job. It's so unfair studios expect actors to do interviews but don't allow them to be open and honest about their work and experience shooting the movie.
Cavill couldn't talk about it because almost every damn scene he did was with the mustache so he probably couldn't have said "Yeah basically every scene" Geoff Johns probably would have given him a quick old bounty.
