    Excellent diag! Sadel. I have some old ecu's and I am going to start removing components to practice and start learning to program chips the way you do. Very interesting! Thank you for sharing and happy new year!

    Happy new year Sadel! Great video and repair. It's always satisfying when a vehicle is diagnosed and fixed correctly. I can hear it in your giggle lol.
    I also have a IM608 and I would like to use it to it's full potential. My problem is that after more than 2 years of ownership I don't get the opportunity to use it like you did in this video. Even IF I did, I wouldn't know which buttons to press. My question is, what classes did you take, that I can take, to know how to navigate the maze of menu options of this tool? I'm a current student of UA-cam university, but a lot of times it doesn't have each step of the process. Or the menu options are different. When it comes to programming and computer hardware R&R, I'm at the level of "explain it to me like you would a five year old" Terrible I know. I need hands on training for it to fully sink in because 1, I have the memory of a fish, and 2, compound that by the long expanse of time in between when I'll be able to use this knowledge, is going to be an up hill battle for me. Thank you for any help you can provide.

      I have not had any formal type of classes on the tool, it has been just a bunch of researching in most cases. I'll prep myself ahead of time before I dive into a job like this. Online searching on how to for whatever topic you are about to tackle is the best advice for the moment. Just like if you needed to do a Toyota key for same model I just did, you would use this video to try and help you navigate through the job, along with others you may find. Since you have the 608 already, you can always grab some cheap used modules and play with them on your free time. Thats how I got comfortable with it and still do it to this day since I am not an expert, I too am still learning. I hope this helps some and thank you for watching.

    Why jumping the pin 4 and 13 for 30 minutes did not restore the immobilizaser functions?

    • @DTEAuto
      @DTEAuto  7 місяців тому

      there was no issue with the immobilizer sinking with ecu, so re-registering it made no difference
