Yup, it's all thanks to God's providence! But I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Especially for younger people I wouldn't recommend it as it can be dangerous. But I think there are steps you can take to make it safe. And in my case, God used it to bring me and my wife together! Allaine and I used a reformed dating site so we pretty much knew going in that our beliefs would be very similar. I started making an online dating account since 18 years old, only for two days and eventually deleted my account because it’s scary. Second time was when I was 21 then that’s when I found Asher. Online dating can actually be dangerous for Christians if you’re not careful, you might end up dating a different doctrine than yours or worse case scenario, an unbeliever. Our love story is solely possible through God’s providence. It is just by pure God’s goodness that our differences are very minimal and negotiable, that’s something to praise God for. Online dating is okay, just be watchful because there are a lot of predators lurking around even if it’s a Christian dating site. I fell inlove with an American guy. We knew eachother thru Online Dating sites we talk almost everyday then we decided to be in a relationship.. i am so inlove with him even though we still not met each other we have a lot of plans including met in the Philippines when I’m came back and prepare our wedding but then I discovered that he also have other girl. I tried to understand him because he tell me it’s nothing they’re just friends but when I stalked one day that girl i was shocked that they also in a relationship. That’s why I decided to end our relationship for good. It’s so hard and painful because i love him so much and i never cheated on him.
That sounds painful! I wish no one would ever experience this! I’m sorry to hear what you’ve went through. You gave him a chance and you have forgiven him and stayed faithful to him. You did a good job being a good partner and proving that Filipinas are not all after something! You deserve someone faithful!
