Fun book haul with a great mix of books! I don't watch baseball but your enthusiasm makes me want to give reading about the sport a try!

Thanks Lindsey! I appreciate that. You will have the perfect opportunity to give a baseball book a try because we have started a Summer of Sport reading event for this year during June, July, and August. Mark over at Book Time With Elvis created it and we are all ready to go! I hope you will join us. Thank you for watching. Have a great weekend.

Great list. I came across a children's book at one point about Ludwig Guttman, the man who started the Paralympics. Id like to read that at some point. Unfortunately there isn't an adult biography of him.

Thanks Melissa. I am not familiar with him. I will have to check him out. Sorry there is not a biography of him. I hope the rest of your reading project is going well. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

I feel like there should be more niche reading events and things kind of what you are doing with baseball. I can't watch it haha but I loved playing it in school a long time ago lol. Nice haul, friends in high places lately!

Thanks Justin. Yeah, I have been very lucky to have such great friends here on BookTube! They know me well. By the way, I bet your baseball playing days weren't as far back as mine! It is a great sport. I wish my shoulder wasn't tore up. I would love to go throw batting practice to the kids but it just isn't happening any more. Oh well, signs of getting old. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Charles Sumner is a big name here in Boston. The Sumner Tunnel is a big deal. Named after Charles Sumner.

Yeah, he was quite the character in the 1850s-1860s. He was an advocate for a lot of great stuff. Very abrasive, but interesting to learn about. I would like to get to Boston some day and see all of the sights. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

I enjoyed watching baseball up until all the roid scandals. Also, people no longer know how to behave in a crowd. Drunken jackasses make it uncomfortable for everyone, especially when children are present. They need to start ejecting jerks from the crowd, the last game I attended was 2015, a nightmare. Enjoy your reads.

I am sorry about your bad experiences. I totally agree that people need to control themselves. Some of the antics are very uncalled for. What's worse, is you even see it at little league games. I've had to eject parents from the game because of their actions. Very embarrassing. Steroid scandal didn't help baseball at all. I agree with you that it was a low point.
Thank you for watching. Have a great weekend.
