Hey Peter thank you so much for your video! I’m getting a brompton soon and I wonder if you can recommend a good front child seat that works well for it! Thanks!
That’s what I understood it to be for also. Honestly it would be really strange if they sold some random titanium sticker to plop onto the triangle. What’s even stranger is, people would line up to buy it.
Hello. I just purchased a flame lacquer black edition M6R. I am interested in doing a few upgrades to the suspension block, hinge clamps and easy wheels. I’m completely colorblind unfortunately and struggle to coordinate things by color. Could you please recommend a color for the nov metallic upgrades that will go well with black edition flame lacquer? I know black will of course work, but was hoping maybe to put something shinier and more beautiful on my bike. I read about the flame color online and my understanding is it’s a copper or amber type color which is very warm. Maybe gold color would look good? Any advice will be really appreciated.
You are the ideal guy to ask this question: I am the same height as you, with long legs and I now have a neck problem. I would like to change from M to H on my short wheelbase Brompton. Would I lose legroom (which is currently a bit tight on the short wheelbase), as the H stem seems to slope back further. Does the extra handlebar height sufficiently counteract this?
since i sold my car 8 year ago, i commute to work with my 16 year old stevens trekking bike here in Berlin. Now my employer decided to relocate my section to location on the other side of the city. Two joices. Get a car and get to work in 30 min (with the normal traffic jam more like 45-50 min). Or with the underground and s-bahn in 1.16h. So i thought maybe a brompton is an alternative to shorten the time to under 1 h (walking takes 21 min). That would be acceptable to me and i would be more flexible too.
MotorheadRedo Hey there! Have you taken a look at the Tern Eclipse P18? It's one of my favorite folding bikes and it can accommodate your size easily! www.nycewheels.com/tern-folding-bike-eclipse-p18.html - Paul
you can. There are 11 speed hubs available with modifications. You will have to get a new set of pretty much everything, concerning the rear axle though...
Is there a more padded seat made for the Brompton? I want to order a Brompton folding bike but whenever I ride a bike my ass hurts, Please tell me there is a solution available with Bromptons?
That magnet on the clamp is a great idea
i watch these videos for Peter ;) such a great and natural presenter
Thanks!
Brompton gearing
The sticker doesnt only “add shininess”, it protects the frame from scratches when folded.
Hi Peter. I’m now a brompton owner because of your videos. I learned a lot
Straight outta Brompton !!!
Peter could a news presenter or even a movie star¡ I’ve enjoyed all his videos. He’s great¡
Nice Tempest Blue in the wild!
i wanted to convert my brompton gear to external than internal for easy maintenance
Great vid!
NYCE wheels closed. Peter works at USA Brompton now.

That's actually not a shiny sticker but rather a scratch protector for the hook that sits on the triangle :)

Cool! Nice stuff :)

Love it. Do they do carbon wheel sets also?
Do I need to fold my bike faster?. I'm never in a rush

Steuben1978 That's exactly what Bromptons are made for. Highly recommended! - Paul
👍
Can you guys recommend a folding bicycle for a 6' 5" 200lb rider? Does one exist? Thanks

A Tern. They do a telescopic seatpost and they're 21st century not 19th c Bromptons.
I wonder if you could put an 8 speed hub on this.

Great job on the links: 404

Unbelievable for the price u paid, u still need a lot upgrade… crazy
there is titanium fork tube cracked issue. Do not buy titanium model, if you dont wanna be fucked
How many pounds/kgs lighter the bicycle had become?
Kilograms? Some grams at best, but it looks nice
Why not just buy a Tern instead.
As if the Brompton was not expensive enough :D
I prefer a bike manufactured in the UK, rather than have it diluted with inferior parts made in the far East.
Lol but now Far East is stronger and richer than the west 🤣
"It makes your bike look a whole lot lighter". Ha ha ha what utter nonsense Peter....
Shhh. Don’t hurt his feelings lol
Shame they want out of business…
