A star walks into a black hole but doesn't seen phased. The black hole then turns to the star and says, "I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation."
I like the joke, but it seems off topic.
Way to draw me in.
sounds like a Jojo clip
I'm crushed.
Wow haven't heard that before (sarcasm)
Sly is the reason I grew up a playstation fanboy. His flirty banters with Carmelita are some of my most quoted lines lol
"How can I freeze when my heart warms at the very sight of you?"
It's also why you're a furry.
Plus that art style and atmosphere mwuh
He kinda reminds me of Dante from devil may cry
7:30 A weird aception to the "mind controll is allways evil" rule; is when it's the only viable way to help the person your hypnotysing.
To be fair, you could argue that he was allready under a form of mind-controll, by being high.
Nah I would say its still evil unless its consensual removing someone's free will is terrible no matter the circumstance
@@Otto_Von_Beansmarck I see what your saying, but if the only options are temporarilly mind controlling a close friend, killing them, or them killing you because they arn't thinking streght to begin with, I think your friend will forgive you eventually.
It's kind of a grey aria in this case.
@@agsilverradio2225 I guess If you use it simply to debilitate and detain someone (Like a mental stungun) rather then forcing them into some choice or action it would be morally acceptable
Sly Cooper is the definition of the chaotic alignment; the guy literally goes around bottomless everywhere!
Idk, dress-code rules for furrys are weird.
I wouldn't give Sly a Chaotic Evil ping for him going after mobsters and stealing back his book. While yes, going out for revenge is a Chaotic Act, he doesn't outfight go for blood and murder them. He actually leaves them for the cops to deal with after sabotaging their plans. Would also argue that stealing back the pages of the book is chaotic good because he doesn't want the bad villains to use his family secrets for Evil.
I only played Sly 2, but man, did I enjoy that character and the world-building.
It was so artsy and clever...Hopefully one day a Sly remake or even that Sly Cooper movie would resurface.
Here's to hope.
The funny thing is, these games are old enough to have the remakes on the ps3. Though I won’t complain about getting another one
the amnesia thing I feel worth mentioning carmelitta believed him and immediately tried to gaslight her criminal enemy telling him a straight up lie about his life and career she kinda deserved what she got
THANK YOU!
Didn't she kinda reveal she knew he was faking in Sly 4 tho?
@@garrhettroebuck8402 Yeah, I kinda assumed it was a silent/unspoken agreement between them. Sly stays on the right side of the law and Carmelita shields him from the consequences of his previous crimes. It's a compromise for them to be romantically involved.
@@TheKrislaf but even that doesn’t change the fact that at the time she didn’t know that.
She was quick to try that which bothers me that it was never really called out. Sly was called out but not her.
4:38 I honestly fail to see how it is a Chaotic Evil action considering that Sly *did* stop Clockwerk from initiating his "Take Over The World" plan, granted his motives still weren't pure but I would regard it as a Good action.
If you want Chaotic Evil actions, look at what the Cooper Gang did in the second episode of Honor Among Thieves.
maybe because it had to do less with saving the world and more with revenge against the murderer of his parents. maybe im wrong, but i think that is what Stuart was going for.
I don't know if I'd go as far to say that was chaotic evil since it was to save the environment, perhaps Lawful Evil would fit better since their only intention was to drive off the miners by any means necessary. Although feeding the miners to the gator is certainly extreme.
@@CodyHeldreth True enough, especially since he *did* give his word to help the Guru out.
Yeah I don’t agree with chaotic evil. I’d say chaotic good at worst
I never thought about how good the sly cooper story was, I was always very content to just steal baddies' wallets, but with this I feel like I gained a new appreciation for it. Makes me remember why I hat to skip cut scenes, even if it IS like the fifth time I've seen them. Keep on keeping on man, your content is great and brings a new perspective to loved media.
Most based alignment video yet, Sly Cooper was so great
You mean how he lampooned how he can somtimes be too soft or hard on characters?
The first time I heard of Sly Cooper is when the fourth game was in a magazine and never heard of the series again until today.
Sly is the prefect example of a character that blurs the line between law and chaos without dipping into neutrality. He's a literal criminal whose whole deal is honor and tradition.
I fail to see how the defeat of Clockwork is a Chaotic Evil act. Clockwork menaced and haunted his ancestors for centuries on end, and left Sly an orphan when he murdered his father and stole his families most prized possession. To ignore the threat that Clockwork posed to his entire lineage would be the height of foolishness, and while he clearly wanted revenge, what he really wanted was to reclaim his family legacy. Entirely personal motives, neither good nor evil, that led Sly to destroy a clearly evil individual. I would label that as nothing more or less than True Neutral.
My favorite series of all time. The pure nostalgia is making me wanna dig my old PS2 out of the closet for another playthrough. I am not surprised where he ended up on the alignment chart, but it would be interesting to see where Bentley would place... he repeatedly made plans to feed live henchmen to wild animals.
Sly Cooper is one of my favorite video game characters! He may be a thief but he has a heart of gold for his Friends and Carmelita! Nice job! Never thought about this until now though
I grew up with a PS2, and the games Sly 2, Sly 3, and Jak & Daxter. I must have beaten these games at least a half-dozen times each. As such this series holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for making this video.
Huh... Maybe because of where I grew up, Sly is nowhere as popular as other game characters.
This video was both fun and I will try to look up some of these games to try them out... If I find the time.
As for famous thief that I expected to see their alignment, gentlemanly or not, I would have expected Lupin III or Carmen Sandiego to be first.
I would love to see you take a look into some characters from the 2018 She-Ra show! Specifically Catra, Glimmer, Shadow Weaver and Hordak have arcs that would make for interesting alignment journeys!
3:55 Text: "...he learns the Kind is extorting villagers...best Panda King, not just for revenge." | Stuart's narration: "...he learns that Sly is extorting villagers...best Panda King, just not for revenge." 🐍
15:30
My favorite part of the third game.
Sly: "C'mon. Aren't we supposed to banter a little first?"
M: "I only talk with my equals. And Bentley already said no."
The Sly games really do have D&D canpaign energy
You should do a D&D Alignment of Mortis Ghost's OFF, it would an interesting episode considering how grey-and-gray morality the entire game its.
God I want sly cooper 5 so fucking bad
Not sure if it was said, but Paradox did use time travel to plant "proof" of his family having royal ties, giving him diplomatic immunity, and stealing riches through the years to make his family rich, even if it was only for his time on.
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS SLY COOPER
Okay. First of all. Those Cringy call to actions are some of my favorite parts of the Video! Also Of course I'm going to show a consistent request for Lion Guard. It honestly feels like a D&D game set in the Lion King Universe. It is also a very watchable cartoon despite it's target audience being younger kids. The Animation is a bit rough and lazy in some places, But I find it at a passable level given the rest of the stuff given to us.
Sly Cooper netflix show
Every episode has the cooper gang travel the world take down criminals flirt with carmilita
I've played the trilogy in reverse and really enjoyed Sly slick attitude and I've made quite a few rogues inspired by him and his story.
I’ve been waiting for this episode forever! Love these games so much
Marvelous video. Well done.
Here's an idea for you to try: the 9th Doctor's alignment. It could serve as testing grounds for exploring the series, I'm curious as to how regenerations would factor into his starting alignment, and the 9th Doctor only has a one series run so I think it's a good place to start
Sly cooper is one of my favorite PlayStation franchises
I so want sly to come back in some form either with a remake (give sly the Spyro reignited treatment) a tv series
Or sly 5 (even tho I’m not sure how they would pull that off) I just want more sly cooper because this series is criminally underrated
(Pun intended) and more people need to give it some love and Sony needs to give it some love as well
I know nothing about this game series, but I love your content! Keep it up! =D
Your South Park alignment vid has gone passed its goal can't wait to see it like how you make videos.
That's cool to see sly Cooper in your videos
Well well well... Sly Cooper, and D&D in the SAME video?! THIS is my jam 🔥
Hello there!
My favorite Racoon in all of fiction (sorry Rocket)
I needed this, my dog had to be put down today so seeing this pop into my feed pulled me out of my bed. Thank you
sorry to hear that bud. take care of yourself
My condolences for your loss.
Fun fact, I built fully functioning homebrew for 5e that is inspired by this game series.
I feel like Sly is Chaotic Good in the end, no so much because he's a thief(don't hurt that he is tho), but that those of the Chaotic alignment are usually ones who go against the law in search of their own form of justice. Granted, Sly doesn't steal because its a way to punish, but because it's a challenge to the Cooper clan. As he puts it "There's no honor, no challenge, and no fun in stealing from ordinary people." He's ultimately doing good by stealing from and exposing these people, he's doing it because he finds it fun. Sly is essentially a Phantom Thief in the same vein as Arsene Lupin. I wouldn't be surprised if Sucker Punch pulled inspiration from Lupin considering the similarities, but that's also probably just the stereotypical depiction of the Gentleman Phantom Thief, minus the secret identity for Sly. Sure, in Sly 2, he went after the Klaww Gang to stop Clockwerk's resurrection, but I feel like his reasoning behind that was still personal/selfish. Clockwerk hated the Cooper clan, and with the parts staying in pristine condition, he probably felt that the shadow of Clockwerk was still hanging over the Cooper Clan. It's only at the end, when Neyla takes control and uses the hatred of others to fuel her immortality, that it becomes a bit more of an altruistic goal, but its still fueled by Sly wanting to remove the curse of Clockwerk from his clan. The end goal of Sly 3 was literally to get the money he should have inherited a long time ago, so a selfish goal for Sly even if he did plan to share some of the wealth with his gang. Then you have him lying about having amnesia to stay with Carmelita, which I would say is definitely a chaotic move, as he's deceiving her so they can be together, another selfish move, on top of abandoning his friends(granted, he does prop up some rubble so they can get at at least a bit of the Cooper Wealth). Despite many of his actions being able to be seen in a more lawful light, I feel like the intentions behind his actions is more important than the actions themselves. I could continue on with this rant/explanation/boarder line essay, but I won't or I'd be here all night typing. Basically what I'm trying to say is that, with the exception of a few actions that mainly pertain to Bentley, Murray, and/or Carmelita, all of Sly's actions throughout the four games are all driven by some selfish/personal goal of his own. Revenge against his parent's murderers, The future of the Cooper Clan, Recovering his inheritance, Restoring the Cooper legacy. Okay, now I'm done
"May your heart be your guiding key."😇
Revenge by itself is not evil so even more neutral
Ayo my childhood, school was rough today, but this made it so great
I had no idea you guys were doing Jak and Daxter, holy shit I'm so excited o3o
My theory on what happened to sly is where he landed in ancient Egypt where he becomes his own ancestor slytennkhamon
I'm surprised you didn't have ratchet & clank in this trilogy if these videos get taken down.
Yay your covering the protagonist of my favorite PS series :)
And it sounds like mine is coming soon!
This shows a very nice progression from Sly's morally grey anti-hero, into a true hero (I stopped the video when you got to Sly 4 though lol)
I feel like making the obligatory joke:
What’s with the six minutes of dead air at the end of the video? You finished the analysis of three, then just kept the video going.
We’re all still waiting for that sequel!
This does raise a good point. If theft is always deemed a morally evil action that would mean there's no such thing as a good rogue since theft is their trade
Ya know I want to be an animator/screen writer one day and one of the questions on my mind is weather you would someday make a video about the any of the characters...
I think about it a lot honestly.
Honestly, my favorite from the entire Playstation archive. I truly do hope that Sly gets another game soon.
El jefe
Sounds like "the boss" in spanish.
Chaotic lawful.
R.I.P. The sly Cooper movie ;-;
What alignment is Dr. Tommy Oliver? RIP JDF
Hell yeah I love sly cooper as a kid
Definitely one of (if not the #1) series on the playstation. Sadly I left off at 3. ^_^'
Sly has saved all of Paris
Don't feel bad. We all have our bad days.
These games are so good.
Wow a great video about a protagonist with a good heart but with criminal methods. Hey that reminds me of assassins creed, could you one day do a video on one of those protagonists?
I remember a time where I had no memory card for my PS2. Kept replaying the first mission to see how far I got until I had to shut it of. This has become a core memory of mine xD
My core memory was constantly deleting my save file because it made the Sly Cooper symbol do a little spin down the drain, and I was too young and stupid to realize the reason I had to keep replaying the intro and Raleigh’s level.
I think it should be pointed out that the pages he’s trying to get back would be used to harm innocents in the wrong hands. So…kinda important he gets them back for the good of all? 😉
nice video stu, while we are talking about thiefs, when are you going to do a video on styx from: of orc and man, styx master of shadows and styx shards of darkness. he is an interesting character to say the least. also they are just good games.
Are you planning to do Ratchet and Clank, Spyro the Dragon and Crash Badicoot?
...
edit
Ratchet = CN/CG
Clank = NG
Calsic Spyro = NG/TN
Clasic Sparx = NG (He will take dammage for his friends. That's some atruistic self-sacrifice.)
Legends Spyro = TN/LG
Legends Sparx = CN
Crash Bandicoot = unalligned becuase he's too dumb to have an allignent. (JK, Idk much about Crash, but I suspect he's NG.)
Actions and consequences; was the version of Penelope we got in Thieves in Time chronologically consistent with the rest of the gang? Had she done some travelling and seen some of the events of the next game for instance? Were her statements about Sly stealing Bently's potential realated to him being at the beginning, being able to prevent Clockwerk from existing at all, and ultimately (for reasons she never saw/knew about) not taking that option?
Sly Cooper is borderline Chaotic Evil by the end Sly 1, but Eric Cartman is Chaotic Good by the end of the South Park Movie. Dude your system is fucked.
Wait, Eric Cartman is Chaotic *Good?!*
@@Vigriff Only based on the events of the South Park Movie.
@@InquisitorThomas Ah. Still, I don't think it's his system but rather his interpretation of the characters actions that's fucked.
I'm still mad that there are reportedly no plans for Sly 5 after making that stinger...
And I know exactly who I can "thank" for that: Adam. Fucking. Sessler! The fucking fake fan!
Who is here after Sly Cooper released on PS5?
You ever Wonder if Kung-fu Panda and Sly Cooper share a universe?
Requesting Wheatley, Glados and Cave Johnson from Portal
Wheatley is easy in my opinion: "Chaotic moron"
@@THEO00900 "I'm not a moron!" /Wheatley
GLaDOS is lawfull evil.
Wheatly, Chaotic Netral?
Cave Jhonson dosn't have engouh data to judge.
@@agsilverradio2225 Cave is probably Lawful Evil. Possibly Neutral Evil
I'm only pointing out that one of those dings said farmelita because comments are good for the channel
Sly is the only one if the ps2 mascot Triothat I haven't played my first ever video game was Ratchet and clank
Hey, if you're doing playstation mascots, could I suggest Nathan Drake, I love the uncharted series and Nate kinda feels like a typical rogue player
Man I don’t know who this amazing raccoon is, but I sure hope they get 5 games and don’t get shafted on the last one!!
To be honest, I kinda hope they don't release 5. The fourth game left a bitter taste to me. The studio who was commissioned did not care for the series, the game was buggy, some mini games extremely tedious, somehow the collectables became something outside the actual story( bottles and vaults made sense). The biggest offender of them all though was the finale. The true ending supposedly would be a DLC chapter in Egypt, but they didn't even bother to release it because the sales were not up to expectations.
For me the game officially ended at 3. Let Sly take his retirement and live happily with Carmelita, he deserves that much.
I...can't be the only one to raise an eyebrow at "Playstation 2 trio" not including Ratchet and Clank right?
Please do a video on Violet Evergarden please! She is one of my favorite characters of all time!
Killing clockwork a creature so consumed by hate and evil that he would invent technology that frankly is impressive considering his from prehistoric To achieve immortality just so he could destroy an entire family line that’s a really good thing. You can’t let clockwork live. Revenge is not evil. That’s silly talk Revenge at best is neutral but really it depends on who you are and what you do if you’re a good person, taking out a bad person and not hurting innocent people in process guess what you’re good now if you’re a bad person who hurts let’s say a good person not that matters and you go out of your way to ensure as many innocent people are affected as possible well yeah you’re bad if you’re a neutral person who takes revenge on someone who has wronged you and again don’t go after anyone else that’s pretty neutral.
6:25 to how many people do you think Rajan was their awakening?
Ratchet Ratchet Ratchet
Quick point, this should be a quinogy. Sly cooper, Jak, Kratos, and RATCHET! Do a ratchet video!
I would say Ratchet is CG/CN, and Clank is NG.
#MAKESLY5
If you want one reason to revalue the thieving dings look at persona 5 bad endings the horrific things that happen if you do not steal a targets heart
Carmalita... I aint a furry but...
Could you do laharl from the disgaea rpg series
next year I definitely want to
@@TheLoadingCrew sweet thanks love your work
Shouldn't the dings go in one of the 8 compass directions and not get pulled toward the center of each alignment?
I think he's pulling them towards the outer edge or cornner, except for true netral which is pulled toward the center.
What’s the evil? I’m not good at alignments. Is killing always considered evil?
Murder is evil, but not all killing is murder.
Okay I wonder if you ever would Spyro. Because some folks believe all Games are connected and yes even Skylanders (Not the show, but the game.)
Day 6: Definitely Sly CG, just like any Rogue PC that is not Chaotic Stupid...with is about 1 in 1000 :/
Isn’t the ps3 Trinity jak sly and ratchet and clank?
I mean there's one more PS2 started franchise that isn't on the list... Or did you forget about Ratchet & Clank?
I'm just gonna go ahead and seggest the obvious one out of the rest of the PlayStation cast, ratchet and clank
0/10 you never said jump and press the circle button
No offense Cinema, but you really need a proofreader.
Your text is often full of grammatical and spelling errors, and while it doesn't affect the quality of the video, but it wouldn't hurt to perfect the craft.
Thanks for the content!
i'd rate stealing the crown jewels as neutral considering they were mostly plundered from africa and asia, making them technically already stolen property
I hate how the 4th game is in this video

Bro you had to have played the games to make this video, how do you mispronounced Neyla and Jean bison you hear them pronounce it correctly throughout the game
I dislike the last game. It was not good. The first three were amazing. The last game was very . . . woman hatey. Penelope went traitor, the Miss Decibel was tricked with love, Carmaleta was degraded to dancing in front of a crowd and getting money thrown at her. It was just not very fun.
