- Here's a fun "how to" video! We really like to be resourceful of the things on our farm! Recently we've been clearing out a lot of the eastern red cedars from our land, and we wanted to make good use of the wood, so here is one project that we like to do. When I was young and people tended to make there own stuff more times then not back then we made coasters ECT by hand. Try taking one of the larger pieces and making a clock... people would be amazed with what you all could come up with...came in from the Crocker's

I suggest you sell sets of 4 coasters or even sell single ones as souvenirs at meet-ups or by mail order. You could place 4 flat in a bubble wrap mailing envelope for low cost shipping. Get a Sawyer Ridge logo branding iron made (if you don’t have one) and stamp your logo on the top or bottom. You can also sell extra cedar chips in small decorative bags for moth protection in closets or drawers and sell bags of cedar chunks for smoking meat. You could also sell cedar planks for cooking salmon.
