Good review. If you've stored the unit without power for a while, does it lose the zero? I'm sure the clock resets but I'm more concerned about it losing memory of the zero.
I have the Wraith 4K also and love it. I’m impressed with the accuracy of the PCP Rifle you are shooting. I never knew they had that range and accuracy. What Caliber is it?
At about 10:30 it says the IR is running on a 18650 rechargeable battery, I've heard that battery doesn't fit, did they increase the size of the battery tube to accommodate the larger size battery?
I'm pretty sure that an 18650 would be too big to fit this illuminator. The one that came with my older Wraith HD model can take two CR123 cells or one 16650 rechargeable lithium cell, and the Sightmark website is showing that same illuminator. The two CR123 cells will supply higher voltage, but the lower voltage of the 16650 cell seems to work well enough for shorter ranges.
I love it but wouldn’t the Sightmark Wraith 4K Monocular coming out in March/April be better because you can use it on both a rifle and a helmet? Or would the 4K mini have some advantages over the monocular model?
You do, there are 3 contrast settings, high, medium, and low. You can select 1080P or 4K resolution along with 30 or 60fps (independently day and night). You can also adjust Exposure, Gain, and AE metering in the Settings menu; Video/Photo; Advanced Settings.
The manufacturers rating is -4 to 122 F. This assumes stagnant starting at -4. I have had customers operating below this temperature using an external power source and keeping the unit running. (This ensures keeping some heat inside the unit and allows colder operation.)
I haven't had or heard of any specific issues. I think that rating assumes that you left it off until it reached that temperature and then tried to start it, and then maybe, you could then have an issue? I left one outside at aprox 0 for 4.5 hours while running cold weather battery tests and never experienced any operating issues, I have also had several customers that run them well below the recommended temperature range without issues. (I think the trick is to keep the device running so it stays warm internally)
@Fox Optic I appreciate the reply and the info. I'm looking into picking a 4k mini up. I know they have a 2x and 4x and I'll just be hog hunting. Is there any really big difference in the 2x and 4x ?
@Ross I highly recommend the 2x mini over the 4x for most guys. I find the balance between FOV and long-range magnification to be much more versatile with the 2x in almost all scenarios. The 4x would be better for targets and smaller objects that don't require second/ follow-up shots.
Great video! I’m really impressed with the high definition clarity!
It really is an impressive little sight.
Best description of the scope bar none.

@@mackerelvelli You would not lose zero. You would lose the clock settings.
Can I use the cable included to charge it from the wall instead of replacing batteries?

Just ordered one from Fox optics 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍Great customer service and fast shipping as always thanks Travis for that hat!!
Thanks for the business

I wish the zeroing reticle in these was a bit finer. It's hard to really get it centered over the bullet hole.
i was thinking that as well.. my atn 4k is extremely precise
Nice Video! Do you happen to have an in depth video on the NV portion of the mini?

If this isn’t a used car salesman disguised as a hunter idk who is.
People are just happy to justify their purchases and sell others on their own interests. Maybe

Great job Koller! A++! I love it!
Being a former, used car salesman I can tell you that is a compliment. I bet you have financed more used cars than new cars....
I really like that action on thag gun. It looks super smooth. I wish i could have one on a regular bolt action rifle

I was thinking about buying the mini too but I think it’s worth to wait for the monocular
Fantastic video. Thanks.
I've never seen such an unsteady sight
On the 4k resolution setting do you have a choice between 30 and 60 fps? Also does this have a contrast setting as well as brightness?

What's the average battery life of this for the scope and IR light. I'm actually very impressed with how well this does on the clarity.
About 2 1/2 hours they are nice but the battery on the 4K max is better but a bigger scope
Great review. Seriously considering this optic. Any idea, roughly, of what the battery life is like?
4-5 hours on the CR123 R rechargeable that I tested, I have not run tests on the disposables yet but would assume they are about the same.
