- A question we get frequently about scope reticles is
"What is best, MIL vs MOA?"
In this airgun bootcamp, we tackle the differences and help you decide what works best for your style of shooting.
OUTSTANDING JOB explaining MIL vs MOA. Totally clear and precise!!!
That was the greatest explanation I've ever heard to distinguish between the MOA and the MIL. Lauren, you're a natural teacher. Thanks, AOA!
Just watched several videos on MOA vs MIL. You explained it extremely well, very simple to understand, well done!
Lauren, Awesome job explaining MOA/ MIL. Your choice of scopes, for your many years of competition, have severed you well. Thank you.
Great information for nubies as well as oldies. Thanks for posting 💯👍
Glad it was helpful!
which is better mil or moa
@@MongtoLagula IMHO they are both great and will do the job once you understand how they work. I have had mostly mil scopes so you can say that i am biased as i always choose mil scopes so as not to be confused when shooting👍
Great demonstration, its simple and concise to the point. Now, please make a video on SFP vs FFP scopes
Yes I 100% agree with this gentleman. You are an excellent teacher and are very talented at taking a subject and breaking it down to easily understood concepts and language. I to would like a clear understanding of the differences in these two scopes.
Both work. Both work very well. You have to sit down and think about what you are more comfortable with. If you shoot daily you can get used to either system, but if your shooting is once or twice a week, you are better off picking the system that you are more comfortable with.
MIL is for us using the metric system 👍 1 MIL is 10 centimeters at 100 meters 🙂
Thank you!!! Americans still measuring mil in inches. That is why no video makes sense
A MIL is 1/1000 the distance to the target. 100 yards is 3600 inches so a MIL is 3.6” per 100 yards. It is just math.
MIL is not metric. yall are dumb af.
Good morning Ms. Lauren. Thank you for the very informative video re. MIL vis-a-vis MOA. It is very succinct and germane, with great ease of exquisite narrative. Your (new?) professorial appearance does enhance the appeal of the subject.
Very nice simple way to show and tell . Good job easy to learn
I shoot HFT with a mil scope, that has 1/4 mil per click. It's true mil at 10x. So one one click at 100 meters is a 10 millimeter change. At 50 meters it's a 5mm change and at 25 meters a 2,5 mm change.
For someone who grew up on metric it's easy to think about.
Most of the world then, 3 countries don't get that
very good, hope you do about the mil used on SFP and FFP scopes
Thank you, for providing enlightenment, for me both work equally well
Very nice video,great explain.
Excellent presentation.
i bought one from arizona. it was good for 2 years. but today i have a small problem. when the extinguisher is down the pressure gauge goes down. when the extinguisher is full the pressure gauge also goes up a lot. and it is difficult to contact you 😢
Enjoyed your video young lady good information 🇬🇧🇺🇲
Very helpful. Thank you.
What magnification you use
The moa problem is with the dial itself and the numbers on it.
moa scope is it going to get very confusing after a full Revolution.
At 1200 yards I need 14 mils elevation. That an easy go go all the way and stop at 4 after the zero.
With moa, I need 47. What am I supose to do after 24? Let me do something some math... 47-25 ... got it all the way around to the next 23.
Mils all the way
thank you great video very informative
A scope that moves 1/4 MOA per click moves .25 MOA a scope that moves 1/10 of a mil per click moves .36 MOA per click so it is courser but not by a great amount. At even 200 yards it is only the difference of .5 inches and .72 inches per click. At 1000 yards the MOA scope will move 2.5” per click the Mil scope will move 3.6” per click. Who’s hold is good enough to tell the difference?
Perfect. I have been away from this for a few years and came to brush up. All other vids go off on tangents and unnecessary mental gymnastics.
I can understand clearer this kind of explanation.....
I think market is switching to MIL, might as well get it and get used to it.
In metric system MIL makes more sence. 1 mil is 100mm in distance of 100m, 1m in distance of 1km.
very very informative ,
how was the army sniper and we trained in Mills because the army uses metric. But the problem is American snipers do not use metric. We call our shots in inches. We don’t call our shots in centimeters. So I’m using a metric system in my spotter is saying 20 inches to the right. My brain then has to convert that back to Mills then get on my scope.. army snipers literally spent half their life trying to convert from inches to mills. Here’s a simple way to know which one you need. If you describe distance in centimeters commonly get mills. If you describe distance in inches commonly get MOA.
I prefer MOA but MIL is ok as well.
Beautiful voice
Very informative
Glad you liked it
You're so awesome.........
Go Lauren, Go Lauren 👍🏻🤠✌🏻
👍👍👍
So ....what you are trying to say is . A mil is 3.4 moa at 100 yrds . So thats ten clicks on mil and about twelve to thirteen clicks moa . Good information just keep it simple .
Thanks. simplified explaining I guess is not her strength.
@@bulufish8208 she is a good girl just over thinking it and making a good video . All good . I'm just old school and the fewer words the less you could be wrong for and thats simple .lol
Good info
❤❤
Beaultifull name for a beautifull girl
💯
Totally pointless talking about MIL scopes when using imperial system. MIL is for metric.
Uh oh. Somebody never learned about conversions.
doesnt matter anyway because everyone uses apps these days
Which aap are use full for the scope setting
