Nice. Look forward to your thoughts and comparison. I had hoped they would have increased display resolution as well - but haven't compared with a Hikmicro

Fantastic scope. No complaints from me and a much needed upgrade from the older DS35.
Mine has the VCSEL IR which is another major upgrade to the Gen2 DS35 also, and with the new ability to magnify/ zooming in from
5.6 - 11.2 - 16.8 - 22.4, and with the Picture in Picture for the extra close, fine detail shot, it’s a 👍 from me.
I’ll have to stick to my ds 35. I’ve just recently bought it and typically they bring out an upgrade. 😢

Is there any reason for having such high magnification on night vision scopes? Would prefer something like 2.5-10x or even 2-8x but guess the 50mm 4-16x would be my alternative? (Referring to boar hunting where the range is sometimes not more than 10-15m and the longest shots you “need” to take is seldom over 80-100m)
@@hkanton589 big numbers impress some buyers, but not othrers😉 at the end of the day digital magnification is a fairly cheap programmable function and not an expensive mechanism
Hikmicro Alpex 4k seems better to me. 2.5-20 zoom, much better screen image too.

Around 900 euro in the netherlands for the Pard Night Stalker 4K-50-LRF-IR940 Range Finder, Ballistic Calculator, Day and Night Rifle Scope
Its a shame they decided to use the old 800x800 IPS display. a 4k sensor outputting to such a low res display is pretty crap. The Alpex 4k runs a much higher pixel density and its an OLED display so the image is undoubtedly going to be far better than the Pard. Considering the whole point of a scope is to have the best image possible this is a big issue for me with this new device.
