That's good solid work. You guys take pride in your craftsmanship. Keep going. Love the start to finish approach. So many hvac channels out there are afraid to do what you guys do publishing on you tube due to criticism. Keep going. Nice work.
@jaysonhines1 thank you! We take pride in our work. Yes you’re right criticism is what stops most people from doing what they want. FEAR of CRITICISM and FAILURE. I know we’re not perfect everyone has a different way of doing it or faster way which I like. If someone can do it faster I want to learn it. I hope my videos can help someone. We can all learn from each other. Thank you I appreciate the comment!
With all the head room why wouldn't you put the furnace on a 18" return box for much better air flow? Seems to me it would be in the installers & Customers best interest to draw return air from both sides of the blower wheel?
@T J BEE I agree but right now In Utah with how much building that is going on and high demand on houses and with Covid shortage on supplies boxes are months on back order. Builders can’t wait so we just have to figure it out and make it work to the best that we can.
i relized that there is a cut out in the main trunk line aka duct for the basement, was that part of the manual D calculation or a cheap builder trying to get away with a basement system? because that will GREATLY impact the systems pressure further on in the duct, i was taught to use at least 1 elbow when coming off the main supply trunk
That is nice, hard work. Appreciate the video. I am going to be installing new furnace and duct work for my house. Similar to this one, there is basement, first floor and second floor. Is your second floor main duct shooting straight up from the furnace plenum? I wanted to do it like that so second floor would get good air flow but when I googled it is not advised to have a duct run straight up from the plenum. I think that is the way you guys did in these houses. Right?
Nice vid bro, was each house $1200? I Imagine divided between the two of you so each one of you made $1200 for two 12 hour days averaging $50/hr, is that right? I’m just curious because i get paid hourly

@bible bloopers thanks for the comment brotha no it’s not my company. Good work, do you guys seal and wrap the ducts?
@julio Martinez thanks man! Yeah we seal the whole system
We only wrap it when it’s in unconditioned space

A sawzall would be so much faster cutting your holes
@johnathon king Johnny here is learning he’s new but idk I’ll bet with you on that one!
@@etbseui6958 I gotcha. Put the sawzall blade in backwards and do a plunge cut keeping the blade up about an inch and your golden. Just my preference
@johnathon king okay on one of my videos I’ll shout you out and I’ll do a video of me cutting with a sawzall and a skillsaw
Strongly disagree if you are talking about the holes for his supply runs in the floor. If your comfortable with a circular saw its faster.
We use chain saws to cut new homes out. Way faster
@sixshooter7651 you’re the second person that has said to try it so I’m going to try it!
I heard a story about a guy cutting his head off using a chainsaw, skillsaws are fast as well
