If you are buying a replacement unit from a salvage yard on Ebay take a good look at the picture of the front panel to see if the fan control is an analog slider or the auto. I have a 94 which is analog and doesn't have an auto fan option. (Just like the one in this video). If you have later model (the auto selection on the fan control) it doesn't have the cable which shuts off the hot water coming into the heater core.
you can access all 3 screw holding the ac control unit in by removing the small panel housing cigarette lighter/ash tray (4 screws) and the head unit like you already did. you will be able to use a normal screw driver as you can reach from below
I'm hoping your video will help me as I'm having problems finding a similar video for a Honda Prelude. I'm already seeing some similarities so hoping I can apply some of the fixed to that.
You don't have to remove the dash section. there in a main bus bottom of the raido where the cigarette lighter fits. If you disconnect it, and one other clip that goes to the green plug, the whole harness comes out with the control panel. It's still a mother, but a little easier.
Hey man! I was trying this the other day but my harness was pinned to the plastic wall with one of those plasting screws that you have to squeeze to free, and the thing is unreachable, it sits behind the interior wall, idk if you did this and had the same plastic screw holding the harness to the wall but if you could shed any light it would be SO great!
If you fallow the cable from the climate control to the bottom, there are two plugs close to the floor and this makes it easier to remove the climate control with the whole cable. Just an FYI.
Where did you buy your replacement? I have to change mine. I also shared the link to a video that also shows the removal of the climate control but without removing the green plug.

Rescued a red 1993 Del Sol. Can't wait to learn how rebuild the HVAC system (the engine bay was totally stripped except for a clean D15).

Thanks for this video. If nothing else, it lets me know that I want to have someone else do the work!

My climate control knob goes half way but won’t slide all the way to the other side.. is that normal? I feel it’s not.
I changed mine and now it’s hard to slide the knob over and ac won’t get cold anymore
Way to hook up the boosted boiz!!
Yessir, watched this to get a visual for adding ac back on my boosted hatch

You don't need one of those angle drivers you an do that with a ratchet and a socket that the bit fits into
Joshua Nicolai no room to swing the ratchet though.
@@hrg_tv what about a tiny ¼in ratchet
Geezus what a mission just for a knob meh
