With all the concerns about birds flying into the windows and concerns for privacy regardless of the tint I still feel insecure with that much glass. Perhaps an option to modify from full wall windows to just regular sized windows?

Nice. One can't grasp the complexities of this home except with a walk-around and seeing it in person. Bringing your viewers to these homes first hand makes a difference. Thank you, for that extra effort...
They have the Murphy beds that are a couch beneath and the bed folds over the top of the couch that would be perfect cuz you would actually have a living area until bedtime
I am concerned about the mirror glass; bird killers is summer. Birds thinks that there is open space beyond and fly straight at the glass. Even with standard glass of large expanse will get bird strike. Other than that that it is lovely.
Did you hear about the fires in Los Angeles for 10,000 buildings were burned and they didn't have any water because they were worried about the smelt a small anchovy like fish expiring fish in Northern California. That's right the firefighters had no water so they couldn't connect the hoses to fight the fire I guess the potential sacrifice of the smelt is worth 10,000 buildings and five lines
For all worried about killing birds. I saw a tip I have used and oddly it worked. A yellow green highlighter from the office supply store. If you make a stripe with it you will not see it but the birds do. I did this and it worked. Since then I have put mirrored tint on my windows from the inside because I do not like closed window curtains which defeats the purpose of the windows at even at night. I cleaned it off the window. I added the tint over top of it and it appears to still be working. I was not trusting of not seeing it so I did shorter lines about a couple inches or so inside the frame of my big picture windows that are flanked by two 36 inch wide regular sashed windows. I had the problem even without the mirror tint as there is enough reflection in regular large panes of glass to have the same effect. Another thing I have is a 2 bobbing head owls that move with the slightest breeze in my back yard with a large window and no birds even bother in the back yard. I bought because idiot birds kept running into my screened deck. Hence the name bird brains. If I want this house the birds will learn OR NOT.
I agree with Granmother Tarnow. 😁 Also, thanks for pointing out the swing direction of the refrigerator doors and the reminder that this is a model. Refrigerator doors that swing the wrong way is a huge pet peeve of mine. LOL
Ironically it is one of my pet peeves. I suppose not as much a trigger since I have it myself and can switch the doors....but seems I have had other things more pressing since I bought the counter depth 2 years ago and have yet to change even though I cuss once a week as I nearly drop things.
This one is awesome. Instead of the bed, I'd put a Murphy bed with a couch and shelving unit on each side, and in the kitchen, a convection oven/microwave. Oh, I forgot a toaster, too, and it would be perfect.
From my perspective, a female, this is awesome as an ADU for me. Couple of things, Murphy bed that turns into a nice couch. I fall asleep on the couch all the time. So I may never open that. I'd prefer some cabinets to open shelving. If you do cook in there the cooking will create a mess on open shelves. If I have a place to sit in the living room, I don't need the stools under the counter, cabinets please. I'd move that electrical box over behind the hanging rack, so wall storage for keys etc. could be there. Or, you could hang pots there. Bathroom, forget the glass on the shower. Put in a floating vanity and waterproof, slip proof flooring and you don't need the glass. Wet bath. Plus, it gives you the whole bathroom to be in and move around. Instead of having to clean the floor etc., you can just use a handheld shower head to do the floor. The floor would have to have a slight slope to get to the drain, but it's doable. A nice modern drain that would go across the bathroom floor would work. I like the look of the sink. If I had it my way I'd be able to hose out all the flooring in that place.😁😁 Not practical though.
Speaking as a "senior woman"...I LOVE IT!!! Amazing features and, a great price point! One question...with the reflecting glass, issues with deer or other creatures running through it? This is a contender for a getaway on a lot that offers privacy and take your breath away views. Maine Island for example!
Same! Well, not yet senior and still loving the industrial flair. My only concern would be trying to clean the sharp angle at the drain in the bathroom sink.
Kerry, WOW, WOW, WOW !!! Let me be frank with you. When I saw you walk around in the snow, I saw your ankles and got cold. I thought this young man is crazy! Later on I saw you did have some on. I’m from Austin, TX; anything under 40 and I’m freezing. Anyway, this is an awesome home. I totally agree with the Murphy bed comment and I think about using a tankless water heater, but overall great home. Another thing, it must be all the light from all the glass but makes the room look a lot bigger! Even with your hair standing all the way up, it looked that there’s plenty of room! Great job Kerry!
I'm from Dallas, and I have learned that there's no weather that's too cold, only bad gear and attire. Wearing layers and accessories properly, there's no reason you can't be warm and sometimes even too hot even in subfreezing weather
Nice place to kick off new year, thanks for the tour. Another good hospitality unit, so a w/d would not be needed. Kitchen area is a decently designed space, and hood vent is great add to prevent stale smells. Not as claustrophobic feeling as some of the other places either. I think folks looking for long term tiny home spaces would want some different features.
Thanks for the video Kerry! Fabulous as always. Love the comments the good and bad, always room to grow! Very Grateful. This unit was along the river valley for 2 months and we were also wondering about the birds. Not saying that it wont happen, but thankfully we didn't have one dead bird during that time.
They definitely gave you wrong info on the ceiling height! Im also 6'2 and live in a tiny house with 9' ceilings. Those looked like 10' to 10'6. If the roof height is 10'10 there's no way the interior is less than 9'. It should be around 10'4. Maybe they meant the short end of the slope? It looked like where you were standing was the high end
Just a shot out to you. You deadpan delivery makes your videos highly viewable. I can watch you forever and your showcases are great - inspirational. Keep going!!!
This is my favourite modular home ever presented by Kerry. The bird strike issue with the mirrored glass end would require a solution like a pergola at the height of the roof going out for a few feet, or something like that. Birds wouldn’t fly under it or fly at the glass from above. Now I just have to win a lottery.
Birds frequently fly into mirrored glass because they perceive the reflection of the sky or surrounding foliage as a continuation of their environment, rather than recognizing the surface as a solid barrier. This phenomenon is a major contributor to bird mortality, especially in urban and suburban areas where large glass surfaces are common.
Love the windows. Seriously nice. Biggest pet peeves are the price, the fridge and cooktop smooshed together, and lack of a bathtub. Just bought a slight fixer on a third of an acre overlooking the ocean for half that price and 4 times the interior space. But that's a neat little vacay cabin for the well-to-do. Thanks for showing us.
Having been in that kind of low temperature, no way can a person stand out there, talking, with out wearing gloves, and a hat!! The cold is deadly!! Lovely unit!! Thank you!
Currently living there, standing in the cold is plenty doable as long as you're not there for too long (like 30+ mins to frostbite with little to no wind). -15 isn't even scarf weather yet as long as you keep moving. When you get to -30 and below, that's when it starts to get really dangerous (like 10 mins to frostbite with mild winds, 5 mins or less with high wind).
That’s beautiful ❤ I’d definitely go for this model. Liked the bathroom too, didn’t think it is all that masculine. It all looks solid. Thanks for sharing
Cool unit, but way too small to be a "home". Great location to showcase those windows, no doubt about that. Great touch of adding the range hood venting, rarely ever see that and good refrigerator size for a small unit. On the flip side, no cupboard space in the kitchen/ette. Bathroom is cool, though the shower looks really narrow.
Very cool house, but I am so glad people are mentioning the danger to birds… They should at least have some decals put on there or figure out something to help save our feathered friends .
Love the bathroom, but I would move bed closer to the windows for more space separation, and then move door to windows close to bathroom and coat rack for a more foyer like entry.

I lived with large glass walled home and birds were a problem hitting the glass constantly.
This was my first thought! I'm glad it was mentioned, and I love the interior, but it would be a no-buy for me because of the exterior.
Seems there are some nearly clear strips or decals that could be applied that are visible to birds that could help.
Sadly, this is so very true. We need a way to prevent birds from flying to the death on these houses.

Very modern yet a hot water tank. I would convert that to a tankless water heater and use that space for storage or mini laundry
