    When my girls were young and we were having a fretful day, I used to put them in the car and then we'd drive around with them taking turns at each junction to chose which way to go. Their 'mission' was to get me lost! It was good fun and got us out of the house (I never did get lost). I continued the tradition with my grandchildren during lockdown walks when they would try to get us home and I would try to make the walk longer!! Love the work so far, that yellow reminds me of spring and primroses.

      We did the same. I would keep driving until we all felt better.

    Hello, the green fabric looks like moss to me, so I think the turquoise would be the next logical color. Railing, as you call it, would be such a great adventure. Traveling state to state is not as exciting as traveling country to country. Can’t wait to see what you create.

      it's the most adventurous thing I've done I think! I love the idea of moss, and we'll see what comes next! 😂

    The colours feel very spring like. I love the turquoise to follow next but who knows what colour it will be?! The texture is lovely too ♥

      maybe spring is in the air, I'd like to think so! there are bulbs coming up which is hopeful. thank you, I love the texture too...and the colours are really quite uplifting on a grey day!😍

    Your comment about driving without a destination in mind reminded me of the time I was driving home from work and suddenly realised I had no idea where I was. I did a u-turn and then drove until I knew where I was and realised I had gone straight at a roundabout when I should have turned left. Obviously, I must have been thinking about something else but it was quite scary at the time to not know where I was, lol.

    Love the texture, I have just finished a piece after watching your video's. Love your work, I live in Queensland Australia and have the same machine as you, have you ever used wool roveings in any of your pieces. Would like to share a picture of what I have done with you, but not sure how, I am 70 and not real tec savy. Cheers Lyn

      great to know we're sharing a passion for embellishing Lyn, they are a fab machine aren't they! no I don't really use wool rovings, except a little occasionally to hold down something delicate, cos they felt well as you know. x

    Hi Emma what is the composition of the pieces you are embellishing on to the interlining? Are they satin or dress lining or other?

    • @StitchandCreate
      @StitchandCreate  6 місяців тому

      Hi Mary, I think the yellow is a satin fabric for making dance dresses! whatever they had in the shop I bought it from...I just rummage!
