I was excited when this bag came out. Has some great features. Wasn’t sure how I felt about the floppiness and harness system. I do like the laptop compartment and that it’s separated (I just bought a new laptop and am petrified of water leaks). Was wondering how the bag would look/feel if it wasn’t packed out. Is there enough structure? I wonder if you give up comfort with storable straps (I will never carry the bag in briefcase mode). I like that it might suit my short torso and height (17” and 5’6”) as not a heck of a lot of bags do which is I why you’ll often find me in my TB Synapse19 which holds its shape as does the GR1 (both suit smaller frames as the GR1 21L comes in at 18”. The Bullet is a hair longer). The new version of the Bullet, I found the back too stiff. If not it would have been a contender. Have been eyeing the new GR1 with softer back material. But they didn’t make any other changes. I would have taken a key leash! A top pocket would have been killer. The front pocket that so many complain about, well, not futzing with that was a little disappointing. I am embarrassed to say I own so many GR1 versions and have yet to wear any as I haven’t got my pouches dialed in. TB has so many attachment points in their bags and pouches to fit, it’s semi effortless. But lately, I am finding I need more support (no frame sheet in that bag, nor separate laptop compartment). I have yet to wear a Bellroy. Never been sold on the thin straps. A lot of their bags are too long for me. But maybe it’s time to give then a whirl. I am in want of the Evergoods aesthetic but my back doesn’t like it’s back. There you have it. Nice review, as always! Funny, the new Bullet with the laptop compartment I found too stiff totally psyched found the on it’s owunlike the GR1 - and returned). The straps…hmmm. I like comfort. I walk all day. Take the bag off, put it on dozens of times a day on public transport/ in and out of offices…do you think straps that are stowable
Looks very versatile as EDC and short 1 bag travel. I know this bag doesn’t expand, but the floppy front looks like you could pack quite a bit. I would appreciate your take when comparing to knack pack 2 large, Osprey 26+6, Here and Now 25L when considering weather resistance, organization, lockable security, and long term investment.
Thank you for watching! Definitely a versatile bag and it can pack an impressive amount for its size but the other bags you mentioned will be able to hold quite a bit more due to their size and expandable features so if you need extra space while still working as an edc I might lean towards those
This bag vs the new Able Daily Carry plus. Which would you choose? They seem pretty comparable to one another. The Able seems to be more comfortable to carry with the thicker shoulder straps and back padding. What do you think? I'm on the hunt for the one bag to do all my EDC for work and play.
Thank you for watching! Both bags are definitely great (I haven’t had a chance to use the daily plus but have had the daily for years) and I agree the daily will be more comfortable to wear, will have a little better resistance (although the minaal includes the rain cover) and it holds its shape better when empty, but it also feels bulkier/ heavier than the minaal, it can’t be used as a brief or shoulder bag and the minaal laptop and tablet protection is better imo
Thank you for watching! Between the three I would definitely go with the CTB26 (it’s a little bulkier but has all the features I would look for in a backpack)

Please do Dakine motive 30l review)
I think it’s a great backpack for its price )
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion!:)
would you prefer this or evergoods chz26/ctb26 for travelling daily pack?
Thank you for watching! Between the three I would definitely go with the CTB26 (it’s a little bulkier but has all the features I would look for in a backpack)
They have upgraded top handle a little bit, but it is still the weakest point of this bag (I own 1.0)
Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience with the bag! Great to hear the 1.0 is still going strong :)
